BLE 비콘을 위한 에너지 하베스팅 시스템 설계 방안 연구 (Study on Design Method of Energy Harvesting System for BLE Beacon)

  • 본 논문에서는 에너지 하베스팅 (Energy Harvesting) 기술을 적용한 BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) 비콘에서 전력 관리를 위한 PMIC (Power Management IC)의 출력 전압을 일정하게 유지하기 위한 방안을 연구하였다. 에너지 하베스팅 장치에서 제공되는 에너지를 확보하고 저장하기 위한 축전 장치로 캐패시터를 사용하였고, 주어진 Advertising Interval에서 BLE 모듈에 일정한 전압을 제공하기 위한 최적의 캐패시턴스를 분석하였다.

  • Recently, IAQ(indoor air quality) is one of the greatest problems in our modern societies. Although research for IAQ is made rapid progress but microorganism concentration is much to be desired. So we have examined a variety of department store, subway station, underground shopping center, kindergartens, library etc. where people complain about the indoor air quality. The microorganism concentration of indoor air was investigated in this study and the average of total microorganisms was measured. The experimental results show that the ministry of Environment recommendation value (800 $CFU/m^3$)is in need of revision in the naer future.

Design of Food Management System Using NFC Tag

  • As society advances and consumers' perception of food safety changes, the demand for the safety of refrigerated and distributed foods is spreading. In this paper, we build an ICT system that can collect the TTH data from the NFC tag, store it, analyze the food safety level using it. This service platform consists of the temperature monitoring NFC tag attached to individual packaged food, the smartphone with NFC sensor, and the monitoring server with a big data system. Consumers and administrators in this system can easily identify and predict the safety level of individual packaged foods in real time using the provided app on smartphones. In the field of food safety, the use of new technologies such as ICT can create new value by combining with existing food industry in addition to creating new market by new service.

반모서리 기반의 삼각망 자료 구조 개발 (Development of Halfedge-based Triangular Mesh Data Structure)

  • Triangular mesh models are widely used in reverse engineering, computer graphics, rapid prototyping and NC(numerical controller) tool-path generation. Triangular mesh models are generated from point clouds, surface models and solid models. A halfedge-based triangular mesh data structure is proposed and the development considerations are presented. In the presented data structure, halfedge is the key data structure. Halfedge stores its triangle index and the order in the triangle. Triangles do not store the halfedge lists explicitly. Halfedge is referred by value and defined when it is required. Proposed data structure supports four design requirements: efficient rendering, compact memory, supporting efficient algorithms and easy programming.

  • The Study has analyzed the overall material properties, the measurement of forming colors and applicability of color concrete through making color concrete using red mud heated at 800℃mixed with existing pigment and applying it to the actual field. As the results, the slump flow and aeration meet the target value and the compressed strength of the concrete mixed with red mud and pigment is higher than that of the plain. In addition, the measurement of forming colors turn out to be satisfactory and the color forming is excellent. In the field application, the color concrete panel is proved to make sure the beauty of store exits through its various design available.

Encoding of XML Elements for Mining Association Rules

  • Mining of association rules is to find associations among data items that appear together in some transactions or business activities. As of today, algorithms for association rule mining, as well as for other data mining tasks, are mostly applied to relational databases. As XML being adopted as the universal format for data storage and exchange, mining associations from XML data becomes an area of attention for researchers and developers. The challenge is that the semi-structured data format in XML is not directly suitable for traditional data mining algorithms and tools. In this paper we present an encoding method to encode XML tree-nodes. This method is used to store the XML data in Value Table and Transaction Table that can be easily accessed via indexing. The hierarchical relationship in the original XML tree structure is embedded in the encoding. We applied this method to association rules mining of XML data that may have missing data.

  • 디지털콘텐츠의 증가와 자산 가치의 상승에 따른 중요콘텐츠를 저장하고 관리할 수 있는 저장 장치시스템의 중요성이 극대화되고 있으며, 다양한 취약성을 극복할 수 있는 보다 안전한 저장 장치시스템이 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 데이터가 오용, 남용, 변형, 유출, 그리고 손상될 수 있는 저장장치시스템의 다양한 취약성에 대하여 분석하고, 발생 가능한 취약성들을 해결할 수 있는 침입감내 및 복구 시스템에 대하여 연구한다.

Dollarization in North Korea: Evidence from a Survey of North Korean Refugees

  • This study measures the degree of dollarization in North Korea using results from a survey of 231 North Korean refugees. Specifically, we compare foreign currency use of households as both store-of-value substitutes (i.e., asset substitution) and transaction substitutes (i.e., currency substitution) before and after the confiscatory currency reform of 2009. The degree of dollarization has advanced since the currency reform in terms of both asset and currency substitutions. Survey results also indicate that the Chinese yuan is frequently used in the Sino-North Korean border area, whereas the US dollar is predominantly used in non-border areas. Furthermore, foreign currency increasingly serves as a medium of exchange not only for large transactions but also for smaller transactions, such as food purchases.

  • Recently the environment which besieges distribution system is changing suddenly. With opening the distribution market together the advanced various nations new multinational discount stores are introduced and the competition from this market is growing in intensity. Like this change is raising the recognition of the enterprises against the strategy importance of the distribution channel. Consequently, from under competing which is deepened from the hazard where the discount point industry exists what, it will not be able to do the customer-oriented management which it sees. To lead a customer satisfaction finally and it is important to put out. As only low price standing sale it will not be able to create a competitive advantage and raising the quality also it is demanded with the diversification of product assortment together. It does a customer loyalty degree further firmly and compared to the long-range strategy is necessary.

PBFT Blockchain-Based OpenStack Identity Service

  • Openstack is widely used as a representative open-source infrastructure of the service (IaaS) platform. The Openstack Identity Service is a centralized approach component based on the token including the Memcached for cache, which is the in-memory key-value store. Token validation requests are concentrated on the centralized server as the number of differently encrypted tokens increases. This paper proposes the practical Byzantine fault tolerance (PBFT) blockchain-based Openstack Identity Service, which can improve the performance efficiency and reduce security vulnerabilities through a PBFT blockchain framework-based decentralized approach. The experiment conducted by using the Apache JMeter demonstrated that latency was improved by more than 33.99% and 72.57% in the PBFT blockchain-based Openstack Identity Service, compared to the Openstack Identity Service, for 500 and 1,000 differently encrypted tokens, respectively.
