  • An employee employment of Enterprise must consider efficiency, balance attribute and effectiveness as important variable. but Our country's Enterprise reduce the personnel without basic guide line about employee employment. because Our country's Enterprise thinks of personnel expenses or sales amount decrease as important variable. Therefore, Research background sets out that there is no basic guideline for employment management one of the most important elements in Enterprise administration. and I examined employment control's concept and concept about softness of labor market in theoretical background setting. Also, was abreast of employment control effect, case study and literature research about employment control's basis. Finally, In fluctuation change of Enterprise's employee number, I examined which relation is formed in comparison with sales amount, net profit and the employee number of individual Enterprise using investment analysis material of Stock Company focused on Enterprise that stock is listed on the stock exchange.

  • In general, structural integrity of rolling stock structures should last more than 25 years. During the lifetime corrosive degradation occurs. For structural design and diagnosis, quantitative relationship between corrosive degradation and variation of mechanical properties such as tensile strength and fatigue strength is needed. In this study, first of all we established the atmospheric corrosion test procedure. At regular intervals using specimens of SM490A and SS400 on the atmospheric corrosion test bed, we carried out tensile and fatigue tests. The fatigue strength decreases as the atmospheric corrosion period increases. In addition we studied the effect of post-weld heat treatment on the tensile and fatigue behaviour and performed electrochemical corrosion tests.

A Study on Dynamic Characteristics of the Rolling-stock for the Combination of Domestic Wheel/Rail Profiles (국내 철도 차륜/레일형상 조합에 따른 차량 동특성 분석 연구)

  • Railway wheel/rail contact conditions have influences on dynamic behavior of the rolling stock. If there are incompatibility problems between the wheel and rail, damages like wheel wear, wheel spalling, rail wear, etc are occurred. Especially wheel and rail profiles are important factors of vehicle curving performance, so compatibility studies between wheel and rail profiles have to be carried out preferentially. In this study, we have studied the compatibility between wheel and rail profiles of KNR conventional line to analyze the dynamic performances of the rolling-stock. Thus we showed the results relating to wheel/rail geometric contact, vehicle running performances as the change of wheel/rail combination.

  • This study finds out and suggests success factors for the application of RIMS project through the case study of Seoul Metro and literature survey. The successful application of RIMS needs expert knowledge and concept of BOM, standardization of maintenance planning, check lists of heavy maintenance inspection, organization structure of rolling stock maintenance offices, material management system of warehousing and the process of parts repairing between offices, connection of material ordering system, problem solving of circular spare parts administration among inspection, maintenance, and material organizational units, systemic serial number management of parts with RFID, daily closing diary connected with work process chart, and sufficient period of RIMS's test run. RIMS contributes to real time management of rolling stock maintenance, transparency of management, reliability of train operation, customer satisfaction, and management innovation.

  • This paper presents a procedure and an analysis method to evaluate reliability of the Korea high-speed train. The rolling stock system is divided into 6 sub-systems and each subsystem is classified into sub-assemblies. Functional analysis has been conducted to draw reliability block diagrams for the sub-systems. First, failure rates has been calculated for each sub-assembly from the failure data obtained during commissioning tests. Then a reliability block diagram is used to evaluate the MKBF(Mean Kilometers Before Failure) of the sub-systems. Activities to increase reliability have been carried out throughout the test runs and analysis results show that the reliability of the rolling stock system is gradually growing in time.

  • Rolling Stock running are making Rail Head Surface damage(corrugation, flaking, shelling, etc). It's coming out Rail Head Surface Irregularity. It increases Rolling Stock and structure vibration. Therefore, this paper analyzes the influence of Rail Head Surface Irregularity to railway vibration. And, It introduces the management method of Rail Head Surface and proposes its R&D direction in railway-run organization.

  • A production/inventory system is considered in which a production facility produces one type of product. The demand for the product is given by a compound Poison process and is supplied directly from inventory when inventory is available and is lost when inventory is out of stock. The processing time to produce one item is assumes to follow a general distribution. An (s, S) policy is considered in which production stops at the instant the stock on hand reachs S and the setup of the production facility begins at an inspection point when the stock on hand drops to or below s for the first time. The time interval between two successive inspection points during a non-production period is a random variable which follows a general distribution.

  • The rolling-stocks used in conventional line have suffered wheel problems due to lack of adaptability with track. These brought out severe wheel flange wear, these have caused unstable ride characteristics of rolling-stock. Especially, Wheel flange wear is severely influenced by wheel profile but lateral suspension characteristics. This study was started to induce wheel profile suitable for domestic railway environment. Thus, we analyzed the wear characteristics of wheel profiles that are being applied to railway rolling-stock in KNR. To analyze wheel wear characteristics, we have conducted experiment studies for passenger rolling-stock and obtained useful datum.

  • Present periodic maintenance activities are carried on electric rolling stock in Korea based on predetermined inspection intervals. And this can be seen as a first generation of maintenance techniques without taking into consideration a degree of aging or degradation of the componets. In this study, we have analyzed the current status of maintenance being used in the techniques in various activities such as overseas railway operation organization, and good cases for the advanced country's maintenance system being carried out effectively. Based on the analysis, we would derive implications for efficient application and improvement guidance of maintenance system in electric rolling stock.

Contrarian Strategy Based on Past Stock Return and Volatility (변동성을 이용한 반대투자전략에 대한 실증분석)

  • This paper studied the performance of momentum strategy and contrarian strategy based or past stock return ratio of Korean stock market. The comparative study shows that the volatility of stock markets that can be found the performance of momentum strategy is smaller than that of emerging stock market. Accordingly, This paper examines that the performances of momentum strategy and contrarian strategy are affected by the larger volatility in Korean stock market. Further analysis using the 6 years sub-portfolios reveals that the momentum strategy is significant only during 1980 to 1986 time period when it had the least market volatility. Additionally, we investigate whether firm-level volatility as well as market volatility influence on the performance of contrarian strategy, and figure out that the momentum strategy is significant for the portfolio composed of firms with smaller volatility for previous period, while not significant for the portfolio composed of firms with larger volatility.
