이중합성 연속 박스거더교에 대한 가설공법별 발생 단면력 검토 (Temporary Stresses by Applying Construction Methods for Continuous Steel-Concrete Double Composite Box Girder Bridges)

  • 본 연구에서는 연속거더교량에 적용되고 있는 가설공법을 이중합성 박스거더교에 적용하여 발생 단면력을 검토하고, 적용성 측면에서 개선사항을 도출하고자 하였다. 하부콘크리트의 타설높이 및 타설범위는 각각 이중합성단면에 대한 소성모멘트 및 부모멘트영역에 의하여 결정되었다. 검토 가설공법은 일반적인 가설조건을 고려하여 크레인 가설공법, 켄틸레버 가설공법, 압출가설공법 등을 대상으로 하였으며, 이중합성 박스거더 가설 전의 하부콘크리트 타설유무에 따라 두가지의 경우로 구분하여 각각 시공중에 발생하는 단면력을 검토하였다. 또한, 압출가설공법 적용시의 단면력 저감방안으로 압출노즈에 의한 가설방안을 검토하였으며, 가설거더에 대한 압출노즈의 길이비, 단위중량비, 휨강성비 등의 변화에 따른 단면력의 저감정도를 검토하였다. 압출노즈에 의한 가설공법은 이중합성 박스거더교량에도 유효하게 적용될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

In-situ test and dynamic response of a double-deck tied-arch bridge

  • In this study, in-situ dynamic tests of the world's longest steel box tied-arch bridge over the Yangtze River, China, are reported. The double deck bridge supports highway and monorail systems at upper and lower levels, respectively. Strain, displacement, and acceleration responses were measured and used to investigate the vibration characteristics of the bridge when excited by running trains and/or trucks at a speed of 5-60 km/h, train braking, and truck bouncing. Impact factors were correlated with the running speed of trains and trucks. A three-dimensional finite element model of the coupled monorail-train-bridge vibration system accounting for track irregularities was established to understand the system behavior and validated by the experimental results. Truck bouncing was the dominant impact factor on bridge responses. The running speed of vehicles determined the riding comfort of traveling trains.

  • Solar radiation causes non-uniform temperature distribution in the structure, depending on the shape of the structure and its shadows. Especially in cases of curved steel box girder bridges, non-uniform temperature distribution due to solar radiation can reduce bridge life and serviceability when combined with another load combination. In this study, the method for predicting the temperature distribution of curved bridges developed by Kim et al., was used to predict the non-uniform temperature distribution which served as a basis for structural analysis of 3-D bridge behavior. In order to seek the most unfavorable conditions of solar radiation, observation data from the Korea Meteorological Administration for solar radiation were analyzed. The region of the most high solar radiation condition was selected and its one year variation of the solar radiation data was considered. From this analysis, the most unfavorable solar radiation condition with lower solar altitude and intense solar radiation was selected. Based on the selected solar radiation condition, structural behavior of curved bridges with diverse bridge direction, span length, radius and support conditions are analyzed.

Bridge widening with composite steel-concrete girders: application and analysis of live load distribution

  • A bridge widening technology using steel-concrete composite system was developed and is presented in this paper. The widened superstructure system consists of a newly built composite steel-concrete girder with concrete deck and steel diaphragms attached to the existing concrete girders. This method has been applied in several bridge widening projects in China, and one of those projects is presented in detail. Due to the higher stiffness-to-weight ratio and the rapid erection of composite girders, this widening method reveals benefits in both mechanical performance and construction. As only a few methods for the design of bridges with different types of girders are recommended in current design codes, a more accurate analytical method of estimating live load distribution on girder bridges was developed. In the analytical model, the effects of span length, girder pacing, diaphragms, concrete decks were considered, as well as the torsional and flexural stiffness of both composite box girders and concrete T girders. The study shows that the AASHTO LRFD specification procedures and the analytical models proposed in this paper closely approximate the live load distribution factors determined by finite element analysis. A parametric study was also conducted using the finite element method to evaluate the potential load carrying capacities of the existing concrete girders after widening.

거더교 상판 콘크리트 타설용 거푸집 개발 및 경제성 분석 (Development of the Purlin Hanging System Form for the Girder Bridge Slab and Economic Analysis)

  • 국내 철도 및 도로 교량의 대표적 상부구조 형식인 철제 (steel box 또는 H-형강) 거더교와 PSC (Pre-Stressed Concrete) 거더교는 현재 가장 많이 시공되는 교량형식으로 전체 교량의 75%, 시공 금액의 80%를 차지하고 있다. 거더교 상판 콘크리트 타설을 위한 거푸집 공사는 여러 가지 시공의 어려움 때문에 다양한 공법이 개발 및 적용되었다. 그러나 재료 손실 및 인건비 상승으로 인한 원가 상승, 미숙련공에 의한 품질 저하, 복잡한 시공방법으로 인한 공기 증가, 생산성 저하, 고소작업으로 인한 안전사고 발생, 큰 부재로 인한 운송성 저하, 재료 특성으로 인한 유지관리비 증가 등 여러 가지 문제가 부분적으로 해결되지 않았다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 기존 공법을 대체할 수 있는 공법이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 거더교 상판 콘크리트 타설용 시스템 거푸집 (Purlin Hanging System Form)의 개발 연구 및 경제성 분석을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구를 통해 Purlin Hanging System Form이 기존 공법에 비해 60%의 원가절감, 80%의 공기단축 효과가 있음을 확인하였다.

강박스거더교 가로보 니브레이스(Knee Brace)의 보강효과 (Stiffened Effect of Knee Brace of Cross-Beam in Steel Box-girder Bridges)

  • 최근 강박스거더교량 가로보와 박스거더 연결부에 니브레이스(Knee-brace) 설치가 일반화 되어있다. 니브레이스는 가로보-박스거더 연결부의 응력완화 및 횡변형 방지를 목적으로 설치되는 보강재나, 구조적 보강효과에 대해서는 아직 명확하지 않다. 본 연구에서는 유한요소해석을 통하여 니브레이스의 보강효과를 검토하였다. 가로보-박스거더 높이비와 니브레이스 유무를 변수로한 구조해석을 통하여 부재별 응력흐름, 응력수준과 가로보 처짐을 검토하였다. 그리고 수치해석결과의 비교를 통하여 니브레이스의 보강효과를 평가하였다. 유한요소해석 결과는 니브레이스가 박스거더-가로보 연결부의 보강재로서 응력완화 및 구조적 보강효과가 매우 낮음을 보이고 있다.

상자형 복부판의 좌굴 거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Buckling Behavior of the Web of Box Girders)

  • The buckling behavior of the web of steel girders are largely dependent on the size and the location of stiffeners and the restraining effect of top and bottom flanges. Elastic and inelastic buckling analyses based or the Spline Finite Strip Method were executed to study the stiffening effect of the longitudinal stiffener on the web of box girders and to find how the top and bottom flanges had effects on the web, where geometric boundary conditions were limited by both hinged, both fixed and the flange sections. The basic assumption for the longitudinal end boundary conditions was that the vertical stiffeners had the rigidity enough to force nil deflection line on the web panel so that the junction line between web and vertical stiffener was assumed to be hinged boundary conditions. The provisions on the longitudinal stiffener of the plate and box girders of the Korean Standard Highway Bridge Specifications(1995) and AASHTO Specifications(1994 LRFD) were compared with the results obtained numerically for the various longitudinal stiffener size of box girders. Simple equations and design curves for the longitudinal stiffener of the web were proposed for the practical use.

  • 본 연구에서는 강상자형 사교의 윤하중분배계수에 관련된 외국 설계규준들(AASHTO, AASHTO LRFD)의 문제점을 파악하고, 윤하중분배계수에 영향을 미치는 주요변수에 대한 평가를 수행하였다. 또한 다양한 강상자형 사교의 모델에 대한 유한요소해석을 수행하였으며, 그 결과를 바탕으로 회귀분석을 이용하여 강상자형사교의 윤하중분배계수를 산정하는 식을 제안하였다. 본 연구 제안식의 적용 시 기존 설계 규준식의 문제점을 보완할 수 있고, 강상자형사교의 설계시 구조해석에 소요되는 시간을 절약할 수 있어, 그 타당성 및 실용성을 확인할 수 있었다.

On wind resistant properties of Tiger Gate suspension bridge

  • Tiger Gate Bridge, a steel suspension bridge with a main span of 888 m and a stiffening box girder, is located at the Pearl River Estuary, Guangdong Province, one of the typhoon-prone area in China. Focusing on the developing of the full aeroelastic model of the bridge and simulation of the wind field of the bridge site in a large boundary wind tunnel at Tongji University, Shanghai, China, some main results about the wind resistant properties of the bridge including aerodynamic instability, buffeting responses both being in operation and erection stages by using of a full aeroelastic model wind tunnel testing are introduced. Some of analytical approaches to those aerodynamic behaviours are also presented, and compared with experimental data of the testing.

콘크리트의 초기재령특성을 고려한 합성형 휨 부재의 재령종속적 처짐해석 (Deflection Analysis of Flexural Composite Members Considering Early-Age Concrete Properties)

  • An analytical method to predict the flexural behavior of composite girder is presented in which the early-age properties of concrete are specified including maturing of elastic modulus, creep and shrinkage. The time dependent constitutive relation accounting for the early-age concrete properties is derived in an incremental format by expanding the total form of stress-strain relation by the first order Taylor series with respect to the reference time. The sectional analysis calculates the axial and curvature strains based on the force and moment equilibriums. The deflection curve of the box girder approximated by the quadratic polynomial function is calculated by applying to the proper boundary conditions in the consecutive segments. Numerical applications are made for the 3-span double composite steel box girders which is a composite bridge girder filled with concrete at the bottom of the steel box in the negative moment region. The one dimensional finite element analysis results are compared with those of the three dimensional finite element analysis and the analytical method based on the sectional analysis. Close agreement is observed among the three methods.
