Vibrations of a taut horizontal cable subjected to axial support excitations considering nonlinear quasi-static responses

  • To calculate the vibrations of a tout cable subjected to axial support excitations, a nonlinear relationship of cable force and the support displacement under static situations are employed to depict the quasi-static vibration of the cable. The dynamic components of quasi-static vibration are inputted as "direct loads" to cause the parametric vibrations on the cable. Both the governing equations of motion and deformation compatibility for parametric vibrations are then derived, which indicates the high coupling of cable parametric force and deformation. Numerical solutions, based on the finite difference method, are put forward for the parametric vibrations, which is validated by the finite element method under periodic axial support excitations. For the quasi-static response, the shorter cables are more sensitive to support excitations than longer ones at small cable force. The quasi-static cable force makes the greatest contribution to the total cable force, but the parametric cable force is responsible for the occurrence of cable loosening at large excitation amplitudes. Moreover, this study also revealed that the traditional approach, assuming a linear relationship between quasi-static cable force and axial support displacement, would result in some great error of the cable parametric responses.

  • Generally, dynamic loads are applied to real structures. Since the analysis with the dynamic load is extremely difficult, static loads are utilized by proper conversions of the dynamic loads. The dynamic loads are usually converted ot static loads by safety foactors of experiences. However, it may increase weight and decrease reliability. In this study, a method is proposed for the conversion process. An equivalent static load is calculated ot generate a same maximum displacement. The method is verified through numerical tests on a spring-mass systems of one and multi degrees-of freedom. It has been found that the duration time of the loads and the natural frequencies of the structures are critical in the conversion process. A road arem is a self-propelled howizer is selected for the application of the proposed method. The shape of the road arm is optimized under the converted static loads.

  • To deal with the potential XSS vulnerabilities in the source code of the power communication network, an XSS vulnerability detection method combining the static analysis method with the dynamic testing method is proposed. The static analysis method aims to analyze the structure and content of the source code. We construct a set of feature expressions to match malignant content and set a "variable conversion" method to analyze the data flow of the code that implements interactive functions. The static analysis method explores the vulnerabilities existing in the source code structure and code content. Dynamic testing aims to simulate network attacks to reflect whether there are vulnerabilities in web pages. We construct many attack vectors and implemented the test in the Selenium tool. Due to the combination of the two analysis methods, XSS vulnerability discovery research could be conducted from two aspects: "white-box testing" and "black-box testing". Tests show that this method can effectively detect XSS vulnerabilities in the source code of the power communication network.

풍량 측정 장치 소형화를 위한 노즐 정압차 측정 연구 (A Study of Static Pressure Differential Measurement of Nozzle for Miniaturization of a Air Flow Meter)

  • Air flow measurement is a fundamental and important task for testing, adjusting, and balancing of HVAC system. However, it is difficult to carry out in the field due to the large size and weight of the flow meter. In this study, for the purpose of developing a small and portable flow meter, we proposed a different method of static pressure measurement and verified it experimentally. In the proposed method, static pressure difference was measured by inserting a tube inside the chamber before and after the nozzles. The results were compared with measurements according to the ANSI/ASHRAE standard. The results were in good agreement, indicating that the inserted tube method could be used for static pressure measurement of a portable flow meter. The proposed method eliminates the pressure tubes that are attached outside, which results in smaller size and easy handling.

  • 새로운 형태의 교량 거더인 CFTA(Concrete filled and tied tubular steel arch) 거더의 비선형 거동에 대해 고찰한 후, CFTA 거더의 대량 공장 생산시 콘크리트 충진 불량으로 발생할 수 있는 결함인 거더 안의 빈 공간을 탐지하는 새로운 방법을 제안하였다. CFTA 거더 안의 비대칭성 콘크리트 충진 불량 결함을 구조물의 대칭 거동을 이용하여 탐색하였으며, 수치해석과 실험을 통해 제안된 방법을 검증하였다. 제안된 방법을 수치적으로 검증하기 위해 3차원 유한요소모델을 사용하였으며, 실험적으로 검증하기 위해 CFTA거더의 정적 실험자료를 사용하였다.

  • Usually, the thrust of a Linear Pulse Motor(LPM) is calculated by magnetic equivalent circuit modelling method. Analytical thrust deviation exists to calculating magnetic flux density by using Permeance Modelling Method, Finite Element Method, and Velocity Electric Motive Force method. For calculating accuracy thrust by using these every method, tire thrust is calculated and compared by Lorentz Force method, Magnetic coenergy Method, and Maxwell correspondence forte Method. And that becomes Important factor at the comparison of each capacity and parameter of motor. So this study wants to compare and analyze measurement data and calculating data of the static thrust of LPM. and then we can get more accuracy method, calculating the static thrust of LPM.

Comparative Study of Seeding and Culture Methods to Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells on Biodegradable Scaffold

  • How to improve the cell culture method on scaffolds is important in the tissue engineering fileld. In this study, we optimized seeding and culture methods to vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) on biodegradable polymer scaffold. The primary culture of VSMCs obtained from canine external jugular vein was accomplished by applying the explant-derived method. The primary cultured VSMCs were seeded into scaffolds and then cultured by using various different methods; static or dynamic seeding, static or dynamic culture. The difference in proliferative response of VSMCs was analyzed with an alamar blue assay. Cell-polymer construct was examined by histochemical method and scanning electron microscopy. Mesh type scaffold ($10 \times 10 \times0.4 mm$) was made of polyglycolic acid (PGA) suture thread. The PGA mesh type scaffold was 45% in porosity, and 0.03 g in weight. The primary cultured VSMCs were confirmed with immunohistochemical staining using monoclonal anti-$\alpha$-smooth muscle actin. The density and distribution of proliferated VSMCs within the scaffold and cellular adherence on the surface of the scaffold showed better results in the static seeding condition than in the dynamic condition. Under the same condition of seeding method as the static condition, the dynamic culture condition showed enhanced proliferation rates of the VSMCs when compared to the static culture condition. In conclusion, to improve the VSMCs proliferation in vitro, static seeding is better than the dynamic condition. In the culture condition, however, culture under the dynamic status is better than the static condition. This was a pilot study to manufacture artificial vascular vessel by tissue engineering.

동적 및 정적 관심점을 이용하는 사람 계수 기법 (People Counting Method using Moving and Static Points of Interest)

  • 다양한 사람계수 측정 방법중에서 동적 관심점을 이용하는 지도-기반 기법은 우수한 성능을 보여준다. 그러나 정적인 사람의 계수측정은 정적 관심점이 배경에 포함되기 때문에 어려움이 있다. 계수에 정적인 사람을 포함하기 위해서 정적인 사람이 정적점과 배경을 구별하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 동적 및 정적 점들을 고려하는 사람계수 방법을 제안한다. 제안방법은 모션정보를 활용하여 두 점을 분리한다. 그러면 정적인 사람의 정적점들은 전경 마스크 처리 및 점 패턴 분석를 하여 분류된다. 실험결과에서는 제안 방법이 정적인 사람을 계수에 포함하기 때문에 보다 정확한 사람계수 값을 얻는다. 또한 배경 갱신을 이용함으로써 배경 변화에 따른 정적점 오분류 문제를 해결한다.

3차원 케이블망의 초기평형상태 결정 및 정적 비선형 유한요소해석 (Static Non-linear Finite Element Analysis of Spatial Cable Networks)

  • 두개의 케이블요소를 이용한 3차원 케이블망의 정적 비선형 유한요소해석기법을 제시한다. 먼저, 공간 트러스요소와 탄성현수선 케이블요소(elastic catenary cable element)의 접선강도행렬과 질량행렬을 유도하는 과정을 간략히 요약한다. 지점 변위를 일으키고 자중을 받는 케이블망의 초기평형 상태를 결정하기 위하여, Newton-Raphson 반복법에 근거한 하중증분법과 현수케이블요소를 적용하는 경우에 viscous damping을 고려한 dynamic relaxation법을 제시한다. 또한 초기의 정적평형상태를 기준으로 추가하중에 대한 케이블망의 정적 비선형해석을 수행한다. 지점변위와 외력을 받는 케이블 구조에 대하여 비선형해석을 수행하고, 해석결과들을 기존의 문헌의 결과와 비교, 검토하므로써 본 논문에서 제시한 이론 및 해석방법의 타당성을 입증한다.
