  • In this paper, we consider variable structure controller design of a active magnetic bearing(AMB). In particular, we design a switching hyperplane, considering coupling characteristic among each magnet. This method is designed by applying decentralized control method. Controller design consist of two factors that is, one is linear control part to drive state variables to zero asymptotically and the other is a nonlinear controller part to maintain within neighborhood of switching hyperplane. Finally, A control method designed here is checked by simulation, which shows good results.

  • In this paper, a new LMS algorithm with a fuzzy variable step size (FVS LMS) is presented. The change of step size ${\mu}$, at each iteration which is increases or decreases according to the misadaptation degree, is computed by a proportional fuzzy logic controller. As a result the algorithm has very good convergence speed and low steady-state misadjustment. As a measure of the misadaptation degree, the norm of the cross correlation between the estimation error and input signal is used. Simulation results are presented to compare the performance of the FVSS LMS algorithm with the normalized LMS algorithm.

  • This theory has fast response and low overshoot by transforming its structure and this system may have new character which did not appear in this system. The VSS system transform its structure by switching logic. Then, the state trajectory is to sliding along the switching line to the phase-plane orgin. The phase trajectory is known as the sliding mode of this controller. This paper performed position control in the theory and analysised the change in variable loads.

  • In this paper we consider an approach to a formal linearization for time-variant nonlinear systems. A time-variant nonlinear sysetm is assumed to be described by a time-variant nonlinear differential equation. For this system, we introduce a coordinate transformation function which is composed of the Chebyshev polynomials. Using Chebyshev expansion to the state variable and Laguerre expansion to the time variable, the time-variant nonlinear sysetm is transformed into the time-variant linear one with respect to the above transformation function.   • We consider the M/G/1 queue with instantaneous feed-back. The probabilities of feedback are determined by the state of the underlaying Markov chain. by using the supplementary variable method we derive the generating function of the number of customers in the system. In the analysis it is required to calculate the matrix equations. To solve the matrix equations we use the notion of Ex-tended Laplace Transform.

  • A new scheme of OFVSC(Output Feedvack Variable Structure Controller) is proposed for the servo control system. The main structure of proposed control scheme is composed of servo compensator and dynamic switiching function. By the use of dynamic switiching function the assumption of full state availability can be removed and the disturbances which does not satisfy the matching condition cna be rejected. And the servo compensator which is designed for each output variable the robustness for the all type of disturbances. And the performances of proposed control system are evaluated through simulation studies for a numerical example.

  • We highlight the alternative presentation of the Cauchy-Riemann conditions for the analyticity of a complex variable function and consider plane equilibrium problem for an elastic transversely isotropic layer, in finite deformation. We state the fundamental problems and consider traction boundary value problem, as an example of fundamental problem-one. A simple solution of“Lame's problem”for an infinite layer is obtained. The profile of the deformed contour is given; and this depends on the order of the term used in the power series specification for the complex potential and on the material constants of the medium.

  • This paper presents a new dc-motor position control approached by Variable Structure System. In order to eliminate a steady-state position error, we propose a switching function composed of position error, velocity, and current ripple. The switching function has an advantage compared to other ones. To determine the control signal voltage, we use a fuzzy logic method. The simulation results show expected performances.

  • The proposed detector is consists of three-phase sinusoidal signal generator and peak detector. This peak detector can detect the peak voltage value at the state of variable frequency. In experi-ment three-phase sinusoidal signals are generated from D/A converter using IBM PC and deliv-ered to the peak detector. Each signals are squared by multiplier and summed up Peak value is the square root of summed value extracted by square root circuit.
