  • The aerial application using an unmanned helicopter has been already utilized and an attitude controller would be developed to enhance the operational convenience and safety of the operator. For a preliminary study of designing flight controller, a state space model for an RC helicopter would be identified. Frequency sweep flight tests were performed and time history data were acquired in the previous study. In this study, frequency response of the flight test data of a small unmanned helicopter was analyzed by using the CIFER software. The time history flight data consisted of three replications each for collective pitch, aileron, elevator and rudder sweep inputs. A total of 36 frequency responses were obtained for the four control stick inputs and nine outputs including linear velocities and accelerations and angular velocities in 3-axis. The results showed coherence values higher than 0.6 for every primary control inputs and corresponding on-axis outputs for the frequency range from 0.07 to 4 Hz. Also the analysis of conditioned frequency response showed its effectiveness in evaluating cross coupling effects. Based on the results, the dynamic characteristics of the model helicopter can further be analyzed in terms of transfer functions and the undamped natural frequency and damping ratio of each critical mode.

And we propose the control circuit and design method of insulated switching mode convert type pulse charger by fly-back convert method in the lead battery. The proposed system can minimize the current consumption by digital pulse. Also the proposed system can generate the constant 10[KHz] frequency, transmit the signal with main control system in the power control system. And it supervises the state of lead battery using one chip micro processor. The proposed the switching mode conversion type pulse charger by the fly-back converter method can charge fast and stabilize lead battery with nominal value 12[V], 20[AH]. Also we propose the design procedure of the power control circuit for turn ratio of fly-back inductor and determining method of values such as the charging current, bulk current, partial current, over current value and fixed charging voltage. The experiment results for the voltage and current wave for partial, bulk, over and fixed charging period show the good charging effect and performance. And the PCB and internal coupling diagram of the switching mode conversion type pulse charger by fly-back converter method is presented.

  • This paper summarizes theoretical work on the multichannel decentralized feedback control of sound radiation from aircraft trim panels using piezoceramic actuators. The aircraft trim panels are generally honeycomb structures designed to meet the design requirement of low weight and high stiffness. They are resiliently-mounted to the fuselage for the passive reduction of noise transmission. It is motivated by the localization of reduction in vibration of single channel active trim panels. 12-channel decentralized feedback control systems are investigated in terms of the reduction of noise and vibration for three configurations of sensor actuator pairs. Local coupling of the closely-spaced sensor and actuator pairs was modeled using single degree of freedom systems. The multichannel control system is characterized using the state-space model. For the stability point of view, the relative stability or robustness is evaluated by comparing the real part of eigenvalues of the system matrix for the three configurations. The control performance is also evaluated and compared for the three configurations. It is found that the multichannel system can lead to the globalization of the reduction in vibration and radiated noise. It does not appear to yield a significant improvement in the vibration because of decreased gain margin. However, the reduction in the radiated noise is remarkably improved due to the variation of the vibration pattern with the actuation configurations.

  • UPFC(Unified Power Flow Controller) consists of two voltage sourced converter(VSC)s inserted into AC system through series and parallel coupling transformer, where two VSCs are linked by capacitor at DC-side. Since VSC acts as an AC voltage source behind a reactance, where both magnitude and phase angle of the source are controllable, UPFC can be represented by the equation related to input-output relation of two VSCs. Voltage control of DC-link capacitor provides the path of real power flow between two VSCs. While UPFC is controlled for maintaining the given reference value in steady state, it should be controlled for damping power oscillation in dynamics. For such a control objective, the control strategy based on the energy function was proposed and has been shown to be effect and robust for damping power oscillation of power system. In this paper, UPFC model based on the VSC was analysed and applied to power-flow control and stability analysis. The control strategy based on the energy function is adopted for damping power oscillation of power system. The effectiveness of proposed control strategy was verified by simulation study

  • Dense $((Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})_{1-x}Li_x)(Nb_{0.8}Ta_{0.2})O_3$ ceramics were developed by conventional sintering process. The electrical properties of $((Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})_{1-x}Li_x)(Nb_{0.8}Ta_{0.2})O_3$ ceramics were investigated as a function of Li substitution. When the sample sintered at $1100^{\circ}C$ for 4 h with the Substitution of 2 mol% Li, electro-mechanical coupling factor ($k_p$) and piezoelectric coefficient ($d_{33}$) were found to reach the highest values of 0.42 and 210 pC/N, respectively.

  • Magnetoelectric (ME) effects for lanthanum modified $BiFeO_3-PbTiO_3\;(BE-_xPT)$ solid solutions have been investigated. The value of magnetoelectric polarization coefficient, up is 10 times greater than that of $Cr_2O_3$. The results also show that up is due to a linear coupling between polarization and magnetization, and that up is independent of do magnetic bias and ac magnetic field. The ME effect is believed to be significantly enhanced due to breaking of the cycloidal spin state of a long-period spiral spin structure, via randomly distributed charged imperfections.

  • A new nickel(II) compound, $Ni(CH_2SiMe_3)_2((C_6H_5)_2PCH_2CH_2P(C_6H_5)_2)$, 1, has been prepared by the reaction of $NiCl_2((C_6H_5)_2PCH_2CH_2P(C_6H_5)_2)$ with $Me_3SiCH_2Li$. The compound, 1, is stable under nitrogen at room temperature both in solution and in the solid state. Thermal decomposition of 1 in solution or in the solid produces the reductive coupling product, $Me_3SiCH_2CH_2SiMe_3$ which is also afforded by the reactions of 1 with CO and $O_2$ at room temperature, and with $(C_6H_5)_2PCH_2CH_2P(C_6H_5)_2$ at 80${\circ}$C.

  • We have studied magnetoelectric effect with cobalt ferrite-Pb(Zr, Ti) $O_3$ composites made by solid state reaction. The maximum magnetoelectric voltage coefficient, $(dE/ dH)_{max}$, increased with longer sintering time and higher volume fraction of the cobalt ferrite. The magnetic field for $(dE/ dH)_{max}$ became lower with increasing the sintering time and decreasing the volume fraction of the cobalt ferrite. The phenomena were explained in terms of grain size change, mechanical coupling efficiency, easiness of magnetization and polarization. We obtained the highest magnetoelectric voltage coefficient of 0.174V/cm-Oe, which is about 30% higher than the best value reported.

  • Due to ever-growing advancements in computers and relatively easy access to them, many efforts have been made to develop high-fidelity, high-performance, multi-physics tools, which play a crucial role in the design and operation of nuclear reactors. For this purpose in this study, the neutronic Monte Carlo and thermal-hydraulic sub-channel codes entitled MCNP and COBRA-EN, respectively, were applied for external coupling with each other. The coupled code was validated by code-to-code comparison with the internal couplings between MCNP5 and SUBCHANFLOW as well as MCNP6 and CTF. The simulation results of all code systems were in good agreement with each other. Then, as the second problem, the core of the VVER-1000 v446 reactor was simulated by the MCNP4C/COBRA-EN coupled code to measure the capability of the developed code to calculate the neutronic and thermohydraulic parameters of real and industrial cases. The simulation results of VVER-1000 core were compared with FSAR and another numerical solution of this benchmark. The obtained results showed that the ability of the MCNP4C/COBRA-EN code for estimating the neutronic and thermohydraulic parameters was very satisfactory.

  • The efficiency of the ventilation system is a key point for durable and reliable electric generators. The design of such system requires a detailed understanding of the air flow in the generator. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) has the potential to resolve the lack of information in this field. The present work analyses the air flow inside a generator model. The model is designed using a CFD-based approach, and manufactured by taking into consideration the experimental and numerical requirements and limitations. The emphasis is on the possibility to accurately predict and experimentally measure the flow distribution inside the stator channels. A major part of the work is focused on the design of an intake and a fan that gives an evenly distributed flow with a high flow rate. The intake also serves as an accurate flowmeter. Experimental results are presented, of the total volume flow rate, the total pressure and velocity distributions. Steady-state CFD simulations are performed using the FOAM-extend CFD toolbox. The simulations are based on the multiple rotating reference frames method. The results from the frozen rotor and mixing plane rotor-stator coupling approaches are compared. It is shown that the fan design provides a sufficient flow rate for the stator channels, which is not the case without the fan or with a previous fan design. The detailed experimental and numerical results show an excellent agreement, proving that the results reliable.
