The Rehabilitation and repair of structurally deteriorated, reinforced concrete structures will be highly demanded in the near future. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether damaged beams that crack and deflection are developed by bending moment are restored to the former state. In conclusion, when specimens strengthened with Steel Plate, CFS(Carbon Fiber Sheet) and CFRP-Grid(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic-Grid) are compared with standard specimen, flexural capacity is increased and ductility and energy absorbtion capacity are similar with undamaged specimen. Therefore Steel Plate, CFS(Carbon Fiber Sheet) and CFRP-Grid (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic-Grid) have highly efficiency as material of flexural strengthening.
Shear test procedure for concrete-dowel interaction was proposed along with determination of dowel support reaction factor or shear spring stiffness constant using the spreadsheet example. For this task, three AASHTO-type standard specimens were prepared to simulate behavior of the jointed concrete pavement. A side support system was adopted to minimize twisting of the test specimen which had been observed in a preliminary test. A typical elastic behavior of the dowel-concrete interaction was observed from several test loops of loading, unloading and reloading procedures. However load versus slab displacement represents to be nonlinear. Test results show that the dowel support reaction factor ranges from 550-880 GN/m3, which is 1.4-2.2 times greater than 407GN/m3 proposed by Yoder and Witczak. This is because less torsional distraction was occurred with the help of a side support system adopted in this experiment. The dowel support reaction factor or shear spring stiffness constant obtained from the procedures proposed in this paper may be used as a reference data for the structural analysis of jointed concrete pavement.

To calculate the reasonable design temperature load of a concrete box girder bridge, one bridge test specimen was made. The temperature gauges installed on the bridge test specimen measured 48 sets of temperature per day at 30-minute intervals during the summer and winter periods of one year. The temperature measured at each station was treated statistically to calculate the trend line and standard error, and the temperature distribution and trend line at the representative station were presented. The maximum effective temperature and the lowest effective temperature were calculated from the air temperature suggested by Euro code. The maximum effective temperature was calculated to be 1.5 to 2℃ higher than the Euro code at 35℃ and above. In comparison, the lowest effective temperature was 0.5 to 1.1℃ lower at -13℃ to-19℃. Compared to the effective temperature of this study according to the highest and lowest 50-year frequency of the Yangsan region, the highest effective temperature was 4.7℃ higher, and the lowest effective temperature was 4.5℃ lower. Considering the increasing climate change and reflecting the results of this analysis, it is deemed necessary to make the current temperature design standards larger.

In this study, thirteen reinforced concrete beams, ground granulated blast furnace slag, replacing recycled coarse aggregate with PVA fiber (BSPG series) and recycled coarse aggregate with hybrid fiber ($BSPGR_1$, $BSPGR_2$ series), and standard specimen (BSS) were constructed and tested under monotonic loading. Experimental programs were carried out to improve and evaluate the Structural performance of such test specimens, such as the load-displacement, the failure mode, and the maximum load carrying capacity. All the specimens were modeled in 1/2 scale-down size. Test results showed that test specimens ($BSPGR_1$, $BSPGR_2$ series) was increased the compressive strength by 13%, the maximum load carrying capacity by 4~21% and the ductility capacity by 4~28% in comparison with the standard specimen (BSS). And the specimens ($BSPGR_1$, $BSPGR_2$ series) showed enough ductile behavior and stable flexural failure.
In this study, the structure behavior of RC slab and SC shear wall connection was investigated. Also experimental study was performed to evaluate the factor of safety of demand shear connection strength in KEPIC SNG Standard. As a result, shear friction strength of connection was known about 300kN and shear strength of rebar increased according to the displacement increase. With the installment of the lower rebars, 40% shear strength increased compared to the non-rebar specimen.

In this study, three isolated interior flat slab-column connections that include three types of shear reinforcement details; stirrup, shear stud and shear band were tested under reversed cyclic lateral loading to observe the capacity of slab-column connections. These reinforced joints are 2/3 scale miniatures designed to have identical punching capacities. These experiments showed that the flexural failure mode appears in most specimens while the maximum unbalanced moment and energy absorbing capacity increases effectively, with the exception of an unreinforced standard specimen. Finally, the results of the experiments, as wel l as those of experiments previously carried out by researchers, are applied to the eccentricity shear stress model presented in ACI 318-08. The failure mode is therefore defined in this study by considering the upper limits for punching shear and unbalanced moment. In addition, an intensity factor is proposed for effective widths of slabs that carry an unbalanced moment delivered by bending.
A relatively simple multiple-vertical-line-element macro model has been incorporated into a standard computer code DRAIN-2D. It was used in blind predictions of seismic response of cantilever RC walls subjected to a series of consequent earthquakes on a shaking table. The model was able to predict predominantly flexural response with relative success. It was able to predict the stiffness and the strength of the pre-cracked specimen and time-history response of the highly nonlinear wall as well as to simulate the shift of the neutral axis and corresponding varying axial force in the cantilever wall. However, failing to identify the rupture of some brittle reinforcement in the third test, the model was not able to predict post-critical, near collapse behaviour during the subsequent response to two stronger earthquakes. The analysed macro model seems to be appropriate for global analyses of complex building structures with RC structural walls subjected to moderate/strong earthquakes. However, it cannot, by definition, be used in refined research analyses monitoring local behaviour in the post critical region.
An objective of this study is to evaluate the structural performance of the weak axis SRC column-RC beam joints by experiments. Although one of common joint types is the connection with standard hooks, it has been required to examine its safety and to settle problems of the joint among practical engineers. Specimen types are classified into two categories, namely the type of standard hook and the type of shape improvement. The first one is consisted of three specimens which are reference type, development length modification type, and development length supplement type. Three specimens for shape improvement were made with variations on the arrangement of longitudinal reinforcements and the development length. Test results based on cyclic loadings were discussed with load-deflection curves, maximum strengths, strength degradations beyond the maximum. It was found that the standard hook types showed premature failures and consequent strength degradations due to splitting of joint concrete. However, satisfactory performance was obtained with the shape improvement type with wing-plate welding. No premature failures and strength degradations were detected with the specimens.
In the concept of two-parameter fatigue failure criterion, the material fatigue failure is determined by the damage degree and the current stress level. Based on this viewpoint, a residual strength degradation model for stud shear connectors under fatigue loads is proposed in this study. First, existing residual strength degradation models and test data are summarized. Next, three series of 11 push-out specimen tests according to the standard push-out test method in Eurocode-4 are performed: the static strength test, the fatigue endurance test and the residual strength test. By introducing the "two-parameter fatigue failure criterion," a residual strength calculation model after cyclic loading is derived, considering the nonlinear fatigue damage and the current stress condition. The parameters are achieved by fitting the data from this study and some literature data. Finally, through verification using several literature reports, the results show that the model can better describe the strength degradation law of stud connectors.

EAF reduction slag has unstable properties of expansion and destruction. Therefore, it cannot be used as a construction material. The purpose of this study was to use EAF reduction slag as a concrete admixture. EAF reduction slag contains $11CaO{\cdot}7Al_2O_3{\cdot}CaF_2$ and ${\beta}-C_2S$ (calcium aluminate compounds). To confirm the properties of EAF reduction slag as a concrete admixture, the condensation, compressive strength and activity factor due to substitution rate of EAF reduction slag were measured. Originally, EAF reduction slag was cured rapidly because of its chemical composition ($11CaO{\cdot}7Al_2O_3{\cdot}CaF_2$). On the other hand, when 8% gypsum was added, its properties of condensation and compressive strength were similar to the plain specimen. When 6% gypsum was added, the quality of the KS F 2536 standards (quality standard number 3) were met in terms of activity factor. Overall, 8% gypsum addition is the most appropriate by considering the activity factor in the long-term compressive strength.
