  • At present, the Content-Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) system has become a hot research topic in the computer vision field. In the CBIR system, the accurate extractions of low-level features can reduce the gaps between high-level semantics and improve retrieval precision. This paper puts forward a new retrieval method aiming at the problems of high computational complexities and low precision of global feature extraction algorithms. The establishment of the new retrieval method is on the basis of the SIFT and Harris (APISH) algorithm, and the salient region of interest points (SRIP) algorithm to satisfy users' interests in the specific targets of images. In the first place, by using the IPDSH and SRIP algorithms, we tested stable interest points and found salient regions. The interest points in the salient region were named as salient interest points. Secondary, we extracted the pseudo-Zernike moments of the salient interest points' neighborhood as the feature vectors. Finally, we calculated the similarities between query and database images. Finally, We conducted this experiment based on the Caltech-101 database. By studying the experiment, the results have shown that this new retrieval method can decrease the interference of unstable interest points in the regions of non-interests and improve the ratios of accuracy and recall.

  • This study analyzed the positional accuracy of cadastral control points where central datum points and eastern datum points meet in the area of standard datum of geographic coordinate, in order to suggest the possibility of converting cadastral coordinates into global coordinates in the future in areas between cadastral datum. 12 GPS observation data points were extracted from the station of triangulation in the experimental area, and the accuracy of coordinate conversions in the area where central and eastern datum points meet was analyzed. The results show that the x-coordinate RMSE was ${\pm}0.0014m$ and the y-coordinate RMSE was ${\pm}0.0011m$. Such excellent results indicated that it is possible to convert to the global coordinate system. Thus, in converting to the global coordinate system, it appears possible to convert even borderline datum point areas if points with stable outcomes are selected by inspecting various triangulation markers, then used to carry out the conversion.

  • In the paper, we suggest a simpler synthesis technique for capacitively-coupled match circuit(CCMC) which have a function of DC block and impedance matching simultaneously, and introduce a stability margin analysis technique for designing microwave amplifier under conditionally stable state. Stability margin analysis is used to determine optimum match point that ensure maximum gain under the given stability margin. It can reduce time consuming work for selecting match points in the conditionally stable state. Also, suggested miniaturization scheme of matching network is distinguished from previous work with respect to reducing deterministic parameters for CCMC synthesis. To verify utility of suggested method, 24 GHz gain block is fabricated under conditionally stable state using an internal thin-film fabrication process, Measured results show a stable gain of 10 dB and flatness of 1 dB, which is well coincident with simulated one.

  • A semi-automatic registration process of determining specified points is presented, which is required to register brain MR images based on Talairach atlas. Generally, ten specified points that define Talairach coordinates are anterior commissure(AC), posterior commissure (PC), anterior feint (AP), posterior point (PP), superior point (SP), inferior point (IP), left point (LP), right point (RP) and two points for the midline of the brain. The suggested method reduces user interaction for S points, and finds the necessary points for registration in a more stable manner by finding AC and PC using two-level shape matching of the corpus callosum (CC) in an edge-enhanced brain M image. Remaining points are found using the intensity information of cutview.

  • Purpose: This study examines the safety management of anchors that have already been constructed and evaluates the results of lift-off tests conducted at the site. The purpose of the project is to study countermeasures if necessary. Method: Compare the residual load gained after the lift-off test at 36 points behind the site with the preemptive load, allowable load, and design load. We also analyze stability through this and evaluate the stability of anchors. Results and Conclusion: The residual tension at 26 points remained stable. However, the residual load at 10 points was analyzed to be greater than the designed load and less than the allowable load, and it was evaluated as an instability that could cause fracture problems. Therefore, anchors with unstable conditions at 10 points should be monitored and monitored through periodic measurements and quality tests, and the anchor should be observed at the surrounding points as well as the relevant points to maintain stability.

  • Instruments are installed in soft ground improvement projects to manage economic and safe construction. When analyzing data, the amount of settlement data over time can be used to understand the overall ground settlement behavior, but it is difficult to analyze the interrelatedness between measurement points. Therefore, to analyze the relative compressive settlement behavior between measurement points, the settlement amount and velocity were processed and defined as the mean settlement difference index (ASi,j) and the slope difference index (SDIi,j). Plotted in the mean settlement difference index - slope difference index (ASi,j-SDIi,j) coordinate system. As a result of the analysis of the relative compaction subsidence behavior between the measuring points, the relationship between the measuring points in the average subsidence difference index - slope difference index coordinate system moved to area 1 as the compaction was completed. By continuously plotting the movement path of the observation point in the corresponding coordinate system, the relative settlement behavior between the measurement points was analyzed, and it was possible to check whether the settlement behavior of the two measurement points was stable or unstable depending on the direction of the path.

  • In this paper, a fuzzy logic controller is designed for position control of an Arage disk. The Arage disk system is an experimental set to exploit Arago's disk phenomenon which is the operation principle of induction motors. Since the Arage disk system operates in stable, maginally stable, and unstable regions, it is suitable as a test system to evaluate efficiency of various control system design methods. It is shown that the fuzzy logic controller shows good responses for multi-operating points of Arage disk system, while the controllers using linearized models are able to control the system on only one operating point.

  • In this paper, Fuzzy Logic Controller was Designed for the Degree control of Arago's disk system. Arago's disk system is an application of Arago's disk phenomenon which is the operating principle of induction motor. Since the Arago's disk system varies to stable region. maginally stable region, unstable region according to the degree of bar respectively, it is a sutable system which can be evaluate an efficiency of the system. While an existing controller which was designed using linearized system modeling could control the system on only one operating point, fuzzy logic controller has the advantage in showing good response for multi-operating points because it does not need system modeling.

  • This paper shows that 6 pulse converter instead of 12 pulse converter can be used for the control of Superconducting Magnet Energy Storage(SMES) to improve the stability and to suppress the voltage fluctuation of power system. In order to prevent the commutation failure, when 6 pulse converter used for simultaneous control of real power and reactive power is asymmetrically controlled, stable control region has been presented by analyzing the commutation phenomena at critical points which distinguish the stable control region from the unstrol control region. Harmonic components of line current and output voltage have been calculated. Finally, computer simulation of power system stabilization has been presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. According to the computation results, SMES controlled by the 6 pulse converter is an effective measure in reducing the oscillation and the transient instability of the power system.

  • This paper deals with the gait optimization of via points on biped robot. ZMP(Zero Moment point) is the most important index in a biped robot's dynamic walking stability. To stable walking of a biped robot, leg's trajectory and a desired ZMP trajectory is required, balancing motion is solved by FDM(Finite Difference Method). In this paper, optimal index is defined to dynamically stable walking of a biped robot, and genetic algorithm is applied to optimize gait trajectory and balancing motion of a biped robot. By genetic algorithm, the index of walking parameter is efficiently optimized, and dynamic walking stability is verified by ZMP verification equation. Genetic algorithm is only applied to balancing motion, and is totally applied to whole trajectory. All of the suggested motions of biped robot are investigated by simulations and verified through the real implementation.
