In this Paper, we present a method for designing fuzzy $H_2/H_{\infty}$ controllers of delayed nonlinear systems with saturating input. Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model is employed to represent delayed nonlinear systems with saturating input. The fuzzy control systems utilize the concept of the so-called parallel distributed compensation(PDC). Using a single quadratic Lyapunov function, the globally exponential stability and $H_2/H_{\infty}$ performance problem are discussed. And a sufficient condition for the existence of fuzzy $H_2/H_{\infty}$ controllers is given in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). The designing fuzzy $H_2/H_{\infty}$ controllers minimize an upper bound on a linear quadratic performance measure. Finally, a design example of fuzzy $H_2/H_{\infty}$ controller for uncertain delayed nonlinear systems with saturating input.

This study is about the back analysis to optimize the uncertain parameters of geotechnical properties used in stability analysis of cut and cover tunnel. The Simplex algorithm, Powell algorithm, Rosenbrock algorithm, and Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm are applied for artificial problems of ground excavation. Furthermore, results are compared in the matter of the reliability of optimal solutions with a certain accuracy and the computation speed for evaluations of variables. As shown in results of numerical analysis, all of four algorithms are converged to exact solution satisfying the allowable criteria. And Levenberg-Marquardt's and Rosenbrock's algorithms are identified to be the more efficient methods in the evaluations of functions. After the back analysis for Poisson ratio and Young's modulus for cut and cover tunnel has been performed, design parameters have been correctly estimated and computation time has been improved while the number of measure points is increased.
In this paper, we propose a ubiquitous $SaO_2$ monitoring system for patients using oxygen therapy. For these patients, the ability to monitor oxygen saturation ubiquitously is very important fur accurate adjustment of ventilator's flow rate to match the patient's time-varying requirements with the shortest lag time possible. We have developed a portable device to measure $SaO_2$ and transmit it to hospital in real-time or in store-and-forward mode through the integration of $Bluetooth^{TM}$ technology and the code division multiple access (CDMA) cellular network. We also developed software for doctors to receive and manage the patients' $SaO_2$ information. Performance of the developed system was evaluated as acceptable by assessing the accuracy of the measured oxygen saturation value and the stability of communication network. Test results in real clinical setting demonstrate that our system is feasible for immediate use in home oxygen therapy.

Most recently, the Liquid Crystal (LC) aligning capabilities achieved by ion beam exposure on the diamond-like carbon (DLC) thin film layer have been successfully studied. The DLC thin films have a high mechanical hardness, a high electrical resistance, optical transparency and chemical inertness. Nitrogen doped Diamond Like Carbon (NDLC) thin films exhibit properties similar to those of the DLC films and better thermal stability than the DLC films because C:N bonding in the NDLC film is stronger against thermal stress than C:H bonding in the DLC thin films. Moreover, our research group has already studied ion beam alignment method using the NDLC thin films. The nematic liquid crystal (NLC) alignment effects treated on the SiNx thin film layers using ion beam irradiation for three kinds of N rations was successfully studied for the first time. The SiNx thin film was deposited by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) and used three kinds of N rations. In order to characterize the films, the atomic force microscopy (AFM) image was observed. The good LC aligning capabilities treated on the SiNx thin film with ion beam exposure for all N rations can be achieved. The low pretilt angles for a NLC treated on the SiNx thin film with ion beam irradiation were measure.
Objective: This study aimed to analyze how the upright body type exercise program affected body balance and record of archers. This study aimed to prove the effectiveness of upright body type exercise, on this basis, in enhancing the performance of archery players. Method: A total of 14 archers (7 men and 7 women) in B Metropolitan City who had ${\geq}4years$ of career in archery and were given explanation of its contents and purpose before giving spontaneous consent to the experiment were enrolled in the study. The upright body type exercise program was implemented thrice a week for 12 weeks, with higher exercise intensity with time. A resistive pressure sensor, Gaitview AFA-50, was used to measure the foot plantar pressure distribution and analyze quantitative information concerning variation in posture stability and weight shift in dynamic balance of foot plantar pressure in shooting and static balance of plantar pressure with the eyes open and closed and the change in archery record accompanying the change in body balance. Results: As for the differences in foot plantar pressure between before and after participation in the upright body type exercise program, there was no significant difference in static balance of foot plantar pressure with the eyes open, and there was statistically significant difference at the ${\alpha}=.05$ significance level in static balance of foot plantar pressure with the eyes closed or in dynamic balance of foot plantar pressure in shooting. There was statistically significant difference at the ${\alpha}=.05$ significance level in archery record. Conclusion: The upright body type exercise program had positive effects on static and dynamic balance of foot plantar pressure by allowing archers to experience less body sway and physical imbalance in shooting with closed eyes and positive effects on archery record. Thus, the program is expected to help archers correct their posture and perform better.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of foot strengthening exercise program and functional insoles on joint angle and plantar pressure in elderly women. Thirteen elderly women who were enrolled in a university senior citizens academy of a metropolitan city in 2017 were divided into two groups: exercise group with functional insole (n=7) and exercise group without functional insole (n=6). Method: Three-dimensional motion analysis and Pedar-X were performed to compute the joint angle and the foot plantar pressure, respectively. Two-way repeated measure ANOVA was conducted to compare dependent variables within and between groups. The significance level was set at ${\alpha}=.05$. Results: The range of motion (ROM) of the ankle, knee, and hip joints in the exercise group with functional insole increased significantly more than the exercise group without functional insole. In both the experimental group and the comparison group, the maximum foot plantar pressure and the mean foot plantar pressure were decreased, but the comparison group without functional insole showed more decrease. Since the experimental group demonstrated greater pressure than the comparison group in the contact area (forefoot, midfoot), it was distributed over a greater area. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that participation in foot strengthening exercises and using a functional insole has more positive effects than foot strengthening exercises alone on the joint angle and plantar pressure in elderly women. Increased foot plantar pressure led to an increased contact area (forefoot, midfoot) for distribution of the foot plantar pressure, but the effect of reducing the maximum and average plantar pressures was incomplete. However, wearing functional insoles along with exercise, could help in improving the stability of the joints, by increasing the range of motion, and could help the elderly in movement of the muscles more effectively, leading to an improvement in gait function.

On the other hand, the fiber orientation at the surface and middle layer of the sheet controls the bending stiffness of paperboard. Therefore, a reliable measurement of paper surface fiber orientation gives us a magnificent tool to investigate and predict paper curling and cockling tendency, and provides the necessary information to fine-tune the manufacturing process for optimum quality. Many papers, especially heavily calendered and coated grades, do resist liquid and gas penetration very much, being beyond the measurement range of the traditional instruments or resulting inconveniently long measuring time per sample. The increased surface hardness and use of filler minerals and mechanical pulp make a reliable, non-leaking sample contact to the measurement head a challenge of its own. Paper surface coating causes, as expected, a layer which has completely different permeability characteristics compared to the other layers of the sheet. The latest developments in sensor technologies have made it possible to reliably measure gas flow n well controlled conditions, allowing us to investigate the gas penetration of open structures, such as cigarette paper, tissue or sack paper, and in the low permeability range analyze even fully greaseproof papers, silicon papers, heavily coated papers and boards or even detect defects in barrier coatings! Even nitrogen or helium may be used as the gas, giving us completely new possibilities to rank the products or to find correlation to critical process or converting parameters. All the modern paper machines include many on-line measuring instruments which are used to give the necessary information for automatic process control systems. Hence, the reliability of this information obtained from different sensors is vital for good optimizing and process stability. If any of these on-line sensors do not operate perfectly as planned (having even small measurement error or malfunction), the process control will set the machine to operate away from the optimum, resulting loss of profit or eventual problems in quality or runnability. To assure optimum operation of the paper machines, a novel quality assurance policy for the on-line measurements has been developed, including control procedures utilizing traceable, accredited standards for the best reliability and performance.

In this paper, we deposited the tungsten carbon nitride (W-C-N; nitrogen gas flow of 2 sccm) and tungsten carbon (W-C) thin film on silicon substrate using rf magnetron sputter. Then the thin films annealed at $800^{\circ}C$ during 30 minute ($N_2$ gas ambient) for thermal damage. Nano-indenter was executed 16 points on thin film surface to measure the thermal stability, and we also propose the elastic modulus and the Weibull distribution, respectively. This nanotribology method provides statistically reliable information. From these results, the W-C-N thin film included nitrogen gas flow is more stable for film uniformities, physical properties and crystallinities than that of not included nitrogen gas flow.

In this paper, we propose sensibility recognition model that recognize user's sensibility using brain waves. Method to acquire quantitative data of brain waves including priority living body data or sensitivity data to recognize user's sensitivity need and pattern recognition techniques to examine closely present user's sensitivity state through next acquired brain waves becomes problem that is important. In this paper, we used pattern recognition techniques to use Multi Layer Perceptron (MLP) that is pattern recognition techniques that recognize user's sensibility state through brain waves. We measures several subject's emotion brain waves in specification space for an experiment of sensibility recognition model's which propose in this paper and we made a emotion DB by the meaning data that made of concentration or stability by the brain waves measured. The model recognizes new user's sensibility by the user's brain waves after study by sensibility recognition model which propose in this paper to emotion DB. Finally, we estimates the performance of sensibility recognition model which used brain waves as that measure the change of recognition rate by the number of subjects and a number of hidden nodes.
This paper reports a reliable GRD (Ground Resolved Distance) measurement method of using natural targets instead of the method using artificial targets. For this, we developed an edge profile extraction technique suitable for natural targets. We demonstrated the accuracy and stability of this technique firstly by comparing GRD values generated by this technique visually inspected GRD values for artificial targets taken in laboratory environments. We then demonstrated the feasibility of GRD estimation from natural targets by comparing GRD values from natural targets to those from artificial targets using satellite images containing both artificial and natural targets. The GRDs measured from the proposed method were similar to the values from visual inspection and the GRDs measured from the natural targets were similar to the values from artificial targets. These results support our proposed method is able to measure reliable GRD from natural targets.
