With the introduction of the ubiquitous technology, the housing culture centers of construction companies have demonstrated future housing image and technology. However, ubiquitous home services are technology oriented items. The purpose of this study was to identify u- services which were realized in domestic future housing and to compare those with services the residents needed greatly refer to researches related to demand for u-service. For this study, field studies were conducted with 3 domestic future housings and precedent studies on demand for u-service were analyzed according to the standard of residents' demand. The results of the study showed that residents prefer u-services for security and control of indoor environment for housework and leisure life. As a result, u-services which residents needed mainly did not correspond with those that were displayed in future housing.

This paper is a part of "The Study of The Traditional Korean Ethnic Farmhousing in Yanbian China. The purpose of this study is to investigate the activities of the Chung-ji-kan(the combined kitchen and major ondol living room). Of the traditional farmhouse. It is based on a survey of 124 households in the farm villages of Lungching China. Survey research methods included a field study in Dallajae. A questionnaire was used to conduct this study. The major findings are : 1) the average family is 3.25 persons and the nuclear family type is prevalent; 2) the building plan of the farmhouse is the Ham-Kyoung-Do `double file` dwelling type, the average 5.2kan(51.1m2) house: 3) the Chung-ji-kan ondol is the important center of activities for the farm family: thus the sitting life style of Korean ondol culture continues in Yanbian, China.hina.

The program of public facilities are essential of resident life, and these programs affect quality of life and community activation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the present condition of the program of public facilities and residents' need of program in Yanglim-Dong, Gwangju. In this study, Field survey and questionnaire survey are used for data collection. The results of this study are showed as follows: First, most of the public facilities' programs are composed of educational and welfare program and program for teenager, young people and middle-age. Second, most of the residents prefer to program for culture and sport. Third, most of the residents want to join in one or two every weeks and the time zone of p.m..

The research objective of this thesis aims to utilize the history and culture of cities as resources and to solve the problems of modern urban environment which can produce non-personality in the age of globalization. This study deals the Sustainable Urbanism and Architectural System in the Historical city ; First, Historic resources and its spatial characteristics. Second, reused resources and remodeling of existing building. Third, Sustaiabl design component and management process. Historic resource are not only a cultural and spatial aspects but also it have potential importance in environmental aspects. Sustainable urbanism and architectural environment are cultural resource and it can be enhanced by long term established spatial orders. In order to keep the order, rehabilitation, reuse, remodeling of urban space should be managed by various participations which concerned with the city and urban architecture. That can be say systematic approach for the sustainable environment.

A purpose of this research is to suggest a housing planning on a high-rise apartment by searching a residence lifestyle based on a trend. In this rapid changing age, this will be a based data for regulating the future social housing lifestyle by understanding a whole of social fields. In addition, residence who will be lived in a high-rise apartment will be likely to get a better life environment. By researching a trend with politics, social culture, economy, scientific technique from 1970 to 2008, it is came out the most important three trend is feminism, naturalism and digital. And these three main trend continuously affect people‘ lifestyle. The flow of trend, lifestyle and the complex apartment has been related each other. There are relation between housing flow and trend. This researching data can be used for the future high-rise apartment market introducing trend and lifestyle concept.

Recently, The culture of accommodations have been developed and diversified as there have increasing people who want to enjoy in their extra-time. However, User's satisfaction have decreasing due to the accommodations have been focused on quantity and uniformed developing. Therefore, The accommodations are needed an accurate planning that it is regarded about the characteristic of an architecture and user's emotion without the purpose of benefit or the object of developing. So, It must be overwhelmed with the things of pleasure which the people have experience. Nowadays, The concerning of traditional accommodations as Hanok have increasing that it is engaged in the concerning of eco-friendly architecture, However, there is not much studies about this object. Consequently, the purpose of this study is presentation of basic materials for the traditional accommodations as Hanok throughout investigate that.

The Purpose of this paper is to analyze of community space of high-rise housing as a basic research towards developing a model of spacial convergence. For this, 10 cases of high-rise housing complexes are compiled. Research methods are as follows. First, through the analysis of 10 high-rise housing complexes, the types of community space program are categorized by concepts. Second, community space plans are analyzed by floor. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, through the analysis of 10 cases, the types of community space program are classified 8 categories : Culture, Health, Leisure, Education, Life-style Assistance, Business Assistance, Open Space, Commercial Facility. Second, community space plans are arranged at the lower floor of the building at a high ratio. Third, the types of convergence model for community programs are suggested by 4 categories : Human, Time, Experience, Local Community. Fourth, community space configuration is categorized by 4 types.

Objectives: The purpose of this research is to identify and understand sexuality in 10th grade co-ed students in Seoul, Korea in order to construct practical curriculum for sex education for youth. Method: One-hour class per week was done to the 3 classes among 6 classes for Spring semester in 1999: small group discussion(for 3 classes) & questionnaires(6 classes) were taken. Results: Despite the increased number of sex education programs, peers apparently remain the major source of information and the counselor of their sexual problems. The rate of correct answer of the sex knowledge is still low, especially on biological aspects of opposite sex. Western culture and women's movements have changed our society. In turn, sexual sterotypes and roles have been changing. Small group discussions were taken after the classes of pregnancy, abortion and unmarried parents. Their opinions on maintaining virginity were collected. The condition of choosing spouse and boy/girl friend is quite different in many aspects.

Apartment, which have become the major housing style in Korea, have contributed to the development of housing culture as well as achieved a growth in volume. However, the demands and characteristics of residents have not been reflected in the apartment. because it has been developed only for a growth in volume. In this society, apartments need to be developed for resident. Therefore, the purpose of this study is analyzing apartment design factors and examining the appropriateness of apartment residents. To do so, questionnaire research is conducted and 90 questionnaires are analyzed for this study. The questionnaire mainly consists of questions about residential appropriateness of each space, and reaction and coping behavior on the inappropriate residential environment.

This study was designed to examine characteristics of apartment floor plans that have been recently available. Content analysis was conducted, and 232 apartment floor plans were examined. This study indicated that the front width and the number of front bays also notably increased. Also, two bathrooms in a unit have been increasing, and three bedrooms were very popular. The conspicuous change of floor plan component is the appearance of entrance lobby. It was noted that dress room and powder room that appeared in a larger unit were adopted in small one. Housing suppliers have continuously attempted to have partial change in unit floor plan to accommodate consumers' diverse needs and lifestyle, Further analysis on our residential culture and continuous study on various development of floor plan types need to be made.
