고속 검사합 모듈의 덧셈구조에 관한 비교 연구 (A comparative study on the addition architecture of high-speed checksum module)

  • In this paper, a comparative study is presented to evaluate the addition architecture of the high-speed checksum module in TCP/IP processing. In order to speed up TCP/IP processing, H/W implementation offers concurrent and parallel processing to yield high speed computation, with respect to S/W implementation. This research aims at comparing two addition architectures of checksum module, which is the major botteleneck in TCP/IP processing. The 16-bit and 8-bit byte-by-byte addition architecture are implemented by the full custom design, and compared, in analytical and experimental manner, from standpoint of space and performance. For LG $0.6\mu\textrm{m}$ TLM process, the 8-bit addition implementation requires the area, 1.3 times larger than the 16-bit one, and it operates at 80MHz while the 16-bit one runs by 66MHz.

  • Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of somatosensory stimulations with joints mobilization in foot on balance and gait speed in elderly women. Methods: This study included 2 female participants aged 72 years. Participants received somatosensory simulations with joints mobilization on both foot for 30 minutes a day, 3 days a week, during a 4 week period. All subjects were assessed using a BT(balance trainer)-4 balance measurement and timed up and go test (TUG), 10m walk test (10MWT). Results: It has been found that static length and static area were reduced and limits of stability was increased in 2 females. TUG test was improved but gait speed was not significantly difference. Conclusion: Those results indicate that somatosensory stimulations with joints mobilization is effective in elderly women to promoting a static and dynamic balance ability.

High-Speed Hardware Architectures for ARIA with Composite Field Arithmetic and Area-Throughput Trade-Offs

  • This paper presents two types of high-speed hardware architectures for the block cipher ARIA. First, the loop architectures for feedback modes are presented. Area-throughput trade-offs are evaluated depending on the S-box implementation by using look-up tables or combinational logic which involves composite field arithmetic. The sub-pipelined architectures for non-feedback modes are also described. With loop unrolling, inner and outer round pipelining techniques, and S-box implementation using composite field arithmetic over $GF(2^4)^2$, throughputs of 16 Gbps to 43 Gbps are achievable in a 0.25 ${\mu}m$ CMOS technology. This is the first sub-pipelined architecture of ARIA for high throughput to date.

  • Due to its inherent feature of high-resolution satellite, there is strong need in some specific area to minimize the processing time required to get a standard image on hand from downlink signal acquisition. However, in general image processing system, it takes considerable time to get image data up to certain level from raw data acquisition because the huge amount of data is dealt sequentially as input data. This paper introduces the high-speed image processing system which generates the image data only for the area selected by user. To achieve the high speed performance, this system includes Quick Look Image display function with sampling, ROI selection function, Image Line Index function, and Distributed processing function. The developed RPS was applied to KOMPSAT-2 320Mbps downlink channel and its effectiveness was successfully demonstrated. This feature to provide the image product very quickly is expected to promote the application of high resolution satellite image.

제주지역 바람자료 분석 및 풍속 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Wind Data Analysis and Wind Speed Forecasting in Jeju Area)

  • In this study, we analyzed the characteristics of wind speed and wind direction at different locations in Jeju area using past 10 years observed data and used them in our wind power forecasting model. Generally the strongest hourly wind speeds were observed during daytime(13KST~15KST) whilst the strongest monthly wind speeds were measured during January and February. The analysis with regards to the available wind speeds for power generation gave percentages of 83%, 67%, 65% and 59% of wind speeds over 4m/s for the locations Gosan, Sungsan, Jeju site and Seogwipo site, respectively. Consequently the most favorable periods for power generation in Jeju area are in the winter season and generally during daytime. The predicted wind speed from the forecast model was in average lower(0.7m/s) than the observed wind speed and the correlation coefficient was decreasing with longer prediction times(0.84 for 1h, 0.77 for 12h, 0.72 for 24h and 0.67 for 48h). For the 12hour prediction horizon prediction errors were about 22~23%, increased gradually up to 25~29% for 48 hours predictions.

  • Laser welding has superior characteristic such as low distortion, high welding speed, easy automation and real time control. But it is easy to occur weld defects such as porosity, crater, humping bead in the area of welding start and end. These weld defects can be suppressed by applying the wave shape control. In this study CW fiber laser was used for welding of $0.5mm^t$ pure titanium. Penetration properties were evaluated with the time of slope up and down. After then the bead shape was observed, and the maximum depth and the area of crater were measured. The bead shape of welding start area changed to be sharp with increase of slope up time and non-weld area of welding start increased. The crater and humping bead were suppressed with slope down time. The cooling rate of crater area was understood through measure of the hardness. Also, The distribution tendency of alloying elements was observed by EPMA and EDS. When wave shape control didn't applied to weld, the hardness of end weld increased due to rapid cooling rate and the hardness of rear part in the crater was higher than that of fore part. On the other hand, when the wave shape control was used for end weld, the increase of hardness in the end weld couldn't be found due to gradual cooling rate.

토석류 흐름 상태 특성 파악을 위한 모형실험 연구 (A Study on Model Tests for Debris Flow Characteristics)

  • 본 연구에서는 산사태 발생시 토석류 확산(퍼짐) 형태 및 흐름 속도를 알아내기 위하여 실내 모형 산사태 흐름장치를 구성하고 주문진 표준사를 이용하여 함수비에 따라 산사태를 발생시켜 산사태의 확산(퍼짐) 범위와 흐름 속도를 측정하였다. 산사태 흐름시험 결과에서 함수비가 높을수록 확산 범위가 넓게 퍼졌고 확산 속도 또한 빠르게 기록되었다. 함수비별로 기록된 값의 평균을 구하여 분석한 결과 함수비에 비례하여 산사태의 확산 범위와 속도가 비례적으로 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 일반적으로 확산(범위) 형태는 부채꼴 모양으로 나타났으며, 함수비가 높아짐에 따라 확산 속도가 빠르게 나타났고, 확산 속도가 빠를수록 확산 폭이 좁으면서 길게 퍼지는 형태로 나타났다.

  • This paper presents an implementation of digital control system of speed sensorless for Reluctance Synchronous Motor (RSM) drives with DTC. The control system consists of stator flux observer, rotor position/speed/torque estimator, two hysteresis band controllers, an optimal switching look-up table, IGBT voltage source inverter, and TMS320C31 DSP controller by using fully integrated control software. The stator flux observer is based on the combined voltage and current model with stator flux feedback adaptive control that inputs are current and voltage sensing of motor terminal with estimated rotor angle for wide speed range. The rotor position is estimated by observed stator flux-linkage space vector. The estimated rotor speed is determined by differentiation of the rotor position used only in the current model part of the flux observer for a low speed operating area. It does not require the knowledge of any motor parameters, nor particular care for motor starting, In order to prove the suggested control algorithm, we have a simulation and testing at actual experimental system. The developed sensorless control system is shown a good speed control response characteristic results and high performance features in 50/1000 rpm with 1.0Kw RSM having 2.57 ratio of d/q reluctance.

  • From the research which it sees the noise of the high-speed railroad use nation it gave and the vehicle sound arresting tile masturbation which is a sound arresting unit standard it slept and in an environment noise standard side from it classified. 팬 아웃이 고정된 carry increment 덧셈기 설계 방법 (The Design of carry increment Adder Fixed Fan-out)

  • 가변 stage carry increment adder는 stage가 증가함에 따라 stage에서 계산되는 워드길이를 1비트씩 늘려줄 수 있으므로 속도는 $O(\sqrt{2n})$에 근접한다. 하지만 stage의 비트가 늘어남에 따라 stage에 입력되는 캐리의 팬 아웃이 증가하게 되고 이로 인하여 속도가 느려진다. 본 논문에서는 stage의 입력 비트를 증가하여도 팬 아웃이 stage에 관계없이 고정될 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안하고 37비트 덧셈기를 레이아웃하여 시뮬레이션 결과를 비교하였을 때 면적은 40% 늘어나는 것에 비해 덧셈기의 속도가 75% 향상되었다.
