  • In this paper, The control problem for a series DC motor is considered to adaptive fuzzy sliding-mode control scheme. Based on a nonlinear mathematical model of a series connected DC motor, instead of the combination of a nonlinear transformation and state feedback(feedback linearization) reduces the nonlinear control design. To demonstrate its effectiveness, an experimental study of this controller is presented. Two sets of fuzzy rule bases are utilized to represent the equivalent control input with unknown system functions of the main target. The membership functions of the THEN-part, which is used to construct a suitable equivalent control of SMC, are changed according to the adaptive law. With such a design scheme, we not only maintain the distribution of membership functions over state space but also reduce computing time considerably.

  • In this study, we developed for processing complex features using CAM software that satisfies precision for example practice and related qualification tests suiTable for CNC training purposes. In addition, functions such as location control, speed control, and processing path generation, which are the main functions of CNC machining machines, were constructed using small equipment parts, servo motors, inverters, general purpose PCs, and commercial NC software and researched with the goal of developing low-cost education equipment. In the static accuracy inspection, the degree of machine when measuring the parallelism of the X, Y and Z axes and the vibration of the main shaft did not reach the allowable value. However, we have obtained a finished product that satisfies the CNC machine book sample shape machining, detailed functions of the position control function of the CNC machine tool, linear interpolation function, circular interpolation function, and tool offset function. In the qualification test shape processing, a shape with a degree of 1/100 mm was processed to obtain position accuracy that satisfied the tolerance.

  • In conventional RBF network, the activation functions of hidden layers generally are symmetric functions like gaussian function. This has been considered to be one of the limiting factors for the network to speed up learning of actuately describing a given function. To avoid this criticism, we propose a pseudo gaussian function (PGF) whose deviation is changed according to the direction of incoming pattern. This property helps to estimate the given function more effectively with a minimal number of centers because of its flexibility of functional representation. FINITE ELEMENT SOLUTIONS OF PARTIAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION WITH MULTIPLE CONCAVE CORNERS

  • In [8] they introduced a new finite element method for accurate numerical solutions of Poisson equations with corner singularities. They consider the Poisson equations with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition with one corner singularity at the origin, and compute the finite element solution using standard FEM and use the extraction formula to compute the stress intensity factor, then pose a PDE with a regular solution by imposing the nonhomogeneous boundary condition using the computed stress intensity factor, which converges with optimal speed. From the solution they could get an accurate solution just by adding the singular part. This approach uses the polar coordinate and the cut-off function to control the singularity and the boundary condition. In this paper we consider Poisson equations with multiple singular points, which involves different cut-off functions which might overlaps together and shows the way of cording in FreeFEM++ to control the singular functions and cut-off functions with numerical experiments.

Efficient Slice Allocation Method using Cluster Technology in Fifth-Generation Core Networks

  • The explosive growth of data traffic and services has created cost challenges for networks. Studies have attempted to effectively apply network slicing in fifth generation networks to provide high speed, low latency, and various compatible services. However, in network slicing using mixed-integer linear programming, the operation count increases exponentially with the number of physical servers and virtual network functions (VNFs) to be allocated. Therefore, we propose an efficient slice allocation method based on cluster technology, comprising the following three steps: i) clustering physical servers; ii) selecting an appropriate cluster to allocate a VNF; iii) selecting an appropriate physical server for VNF allocation. Solver runtimes of the existing and proposed methods are compared, under similar settings, with respect to intra-slice isolation. The results show that solver runtime decreases, by approximately 30% on average, with an increase in the number of physical servers within the cluster in the presence of intra-slice isolation.

거리함수와 속력함수에서, 거리와 속력의 관계에 대한 학생들의 인식과 표현의 변화과정에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Change Process of Students' Perception and Expression About Distance and Speed in Distance Function and Speed Function)

  • 본 연구는 '시간, 거리, 속력'의 관계에 대한 학생들의 인식과 표현을 교수실험을 통하여 세밀하게 관찰한 연구이다. 이 과정에서 학생들의 '시간, 거리, 속력'의 관계에 대한 인식의 변화가 드러났으며, 학생들은 평균속력에 대하여 거리함수에서 구간의 양 끝점을 잇는 선분의 기울기라는 관점으로 인식하는 것 외에도 속력함수에서 사각형의 높이로 인식하여 '시간, 거리, 속력'을 이해하고 있음을 보여주었다. 이 과정에서 '거리=시간${\times}$속력'의 관계를 '거리=시간${\times}$평균속력'으로 확장하는 장면을 드러내었다. 본 연구는 제한된 소수 학생을 대상으로 교수실험을 진행하였지만, 학생들의 '시간, 거리, 속력'의 관계에 대한 인식과 표현의 변화 과정에 대한 관찰을 통하여 여러 시사점을 제시하였다. 이러한 연구 결과가 추후 미적분 학습 모델 구성을 위한 다양한 연구의 시발점이 되기를 기대해본다.

고배속 CD-RW Drive를 위한 중점 서보 및 편심 보상 제어 (Center Compensation Servo and Eccentric Compensation Control for High Speed CD-RW Drive System)

  • This paper presents a design methodology of a Digital Servo Signal Processor for high speed CD-RW drive systems. The proposed Digital Servo Signal Processor enables us to develop CD-related systems for the very high speed applications and is one of the key components of the CD-RW systems. The proposed center compensation servo control is newly built for an actuator shaking due to the fast response of a step motor when it jumps to a long distance. A control method compensating for eccentricity of a disc is implemented for operating robustly at a higher rotational speed. This servo mechanism is more size efficient and less power consumed because it is implemented using a ARM7 embedded processor and hardware digital filters. Furthermore, it is convenient to upgrade firmware for the future required functions. From experimental results, we can see that the performance of the control system is improved greatly. The proposed servo algorithm shows a shorter setting time including a pull-in time and a faster access time. It can be applied easily to the DVD-ROM and the DVD-RAM which have the same optical structure.

고속철도 교량상 장대레일의 하절기 온도응력 계측 (Field Test to Investigate the Thermal Stress of Continuous Welded Rail on High Speed Railway Bridges in Summer Period)

  • Most modern railways, especially the high speed railway tracks, use continuous welded rail(CWR) for the less maintenance. For the CWR track has very few expansion joints, track buckling has always been an unpredictable event and it happens mainly by high compressive stress in rail in summer period. Therefore, it is important to understand the variation of rail stress induced by thermal loads which has direct influence on the rail buckling and stability of railway track. This paper describes the experimental investigation of the variation of rail temperature and stress in a high speed railway track on bridge structure. Field measurement was performed to examine the correlation between the rail temperature and rail stress on the Korean High Speed Railway line. Regression functions were derived from measured data to determine the rail stress f3r an arbitrary rail temperature varies from 20 to 50 degree Celsius.

  • Recently, as the feasibility study shows that trans-Korea railway and trans-continental railway are advantageous, interest in high speed railway system is increasing. Because railway vehicle is environment-friendly and safe compared with airplane and ship, its market-sharing increases gradually. Korean High Speed Train has been developed by KRRI for last 7 years to satisfy the need. Korean High Speed Train (350km/h), composed of 2 power cars, 2 motorized car and 3 trailer cars, has been developed and is under trial test. To verify the design requirements for the functions and traction performances of the train, KRRI (Korea Railroad Research Institute) decided to evaluate traction performances of the train during trial test. For this purpose, torque, velocity, voltage and current must be measured. KRRI has developed a measurement system that can measure vast and various signals effectively. In this paper, we introduce traction performances of Korean High Speed Train. The traction measurement items are focused on the verification of motor block performances. 철도급전시스템의 고조파 평가를 위한 확률론적 방법 (Probabilistic Method for The Harmonic Analysis of Railroad Feeding System)

  • The harmonic currents generated along with the operating speed of electrical railroad traction are very difficult to analyze because of its nonlinear characteristics. This paper therefore presents probabilistic approach for the evaluation of harmonic currents about the operating speed of the arbitrary single traction. To use probabilistic method for railroad system, PDF(Probability Density Function) using measuring data based on the realistic h 따 monic currents per operating speed is calculated. Measuring data of harmonic current per operating speed is obtained using the result data of PSCAD/EMTDC dynamic simulation based on an IAT(Intra Airport Transit) in Incheon International Airport. The means(expected values) and variances of harmonic currents of single traction also are obtained by the PDF of the operating traction speed and harmonic currents. The uncertainty of harmonic currents can be calculated through the mean and variance of PDF. The probability of harmonic currents generated with the operating of arbitrary many tractions is calculated by the convolution of functions. The harmonics of different number of tractions are systematically investigated to assess the TDD(Total Demand Distortion) for the railroad system. The calculation of TDD was carried out using Monte-Carlo Simulations(MSCs) and the results of TDD evaluation of the power quality in the IAT power feeding system.
