흙 입자 표면의 소수성 조건과 함수비가 분광정보에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Hydrophobic Condition and Water Content on the Spectral Information of Soil Particle Surface)

  • 본 연구에서는 다양한 소수성 조건으로 코팅된 흙 입자 표면이 함수비 조건에 따라 분광정보에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. 이를 위해 소수성으로 코팅된 표준사의 습윤성 실험 및 분광정보 평가 실험을 수행하였다. 습윤성 평가 결과, 1%, 3% 및 5%로 소수성 코팅된 표준사의 건조시간에 따른 표준사-물 경계면의 접촉각은 각각 약 130°~143°, 약 129°~144°와 약 131°~144°의 범위를 보였다. 이는 동일한 건조시간에서 소수성 코팅 정도가 증가할수록 접촉각은 증가하였지만, 접촉각의 범위는 동일한 범주의 습윤성을 갖는 것을 의미한다. 분광정보 평가 결과, 소수성 상태를 갖는 건조된 표준사는 친수성 상태의 표준사에 비하여 소수성 수준의 증가에 따라 최대분광반사율이 감소한 반면에, 동일한 함수비 조건에서는 소수성 정도가 증가할수록 최대분광반사율이 증가하는 것으로 평가되었다.

Multi-view Clustering by Spectral Structure Fusion and Novel Low-rank Approximation

  • In multi-view subspace clustering, how to integrate the complementary information between perspectives to construct a unified representation is a critical problem. In the existing works, the unified representation is usually constructed in the original data space. However, when the data representation in each view is very diverse, the unified representation derived directly in the original data domain may lead to a huge information loss. To address this issue, different to the existing works, inspired by the latest revelation that the data across all perspectives have a very similar or close spectral block structure, we try to construct the unified representation in the spectral embedding domain. In this way, the complementary information across all perspectives can be fused into a unified representation with little information loss, since the spectral block structure from all views shares high consistency. In addition, to capture the global structure of data on each view with high accuracy and robustness both, we propose a novel low-rank approximation via the tight lower bound on the rank function. Finally, experimental results prove that, the proposed method has the effectiveness and robustness at the same time, compared with the state-of-art approaches.

Radiometric Calibration Method with Compensation of Nonlinearity of Detector for Hyper-Spectral Camera

  • In this paper, we propose a novel radiometric calibration method which can effectively compensate the nonlinearity of the detector for hyper-spectral camera. In general, the detector of hyper-spectral camera can produce nonlinear output depending on radiance and integral time. The conventional radiometric calibration methods extract the imprecise radiance profile from the spectral profile of the target due to this nonlinearity. In our proposed method, we use a quadratic equation instead of a linear equation to describe the relation between output of detector and radiance. Then, we use a fractional function to compensate variation of integration time. Thus, our proposed method can extract more precise spectral profile of radiance than conventional radiometric calibration method.

The Classification of Music Styles on the Basis of Spectral Contrast Features

  • In this paper, we propose that the contrast features of octave spectrum can be used to show spectral contrast features of some music clips. It shows the relative spectral distribution rather than average spectrum. From the experiment, it can be seen the method of spectral contrast features has a good performance in classification of music styles. Another comparative experiment shows that the method of spectral contrast features can better distinguish different music styles than the method of MFCC features that commonly used previously in the classification system of music styles.

  • Because Image on the CRT change under different illuminants, human is difficult to see original color of object. If what is information of used illuminant on capturing object know, image can be transformed according to viewing condition using the linear matrix method. To know information of used illuminant at an image, the spectral radiance of illuminant can be estimated using the linear model of Maloney and Wandell form an image. And then image can be properly transformed it using color appearance model. In this paper, we predict the spectral radiance of illuminant using spectral power distribution of specular light and using surface spectral reflectance at maximum gray area. and then we perform visual experiments for the corresponding color reproduction according to viewing condition. In results, we ensure that the spectral radiance of illuminant at an image can be well estimated using above algorithms and that human visual system is 70% adapted to the monitor's white point and 30% to ambient light when viewing softcopy images.

  • Generation of a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) in remote sensing is an important application. The process of DEM generation often requires interpolation. This paper is aimed to introduce a class of interpolation algorithms using spectral information, which is widely used in geophysical applications, and to examine the applicability of the method to DEM interpolation. The interpolation process can be explained in two steps. The first step is for finding spectral information from the known data and the second step is finding missing data so as to follow the spectral trend found in the previous step. The interpolation algorithm has been tested for a real DEM data and problems in the DEM interpolation are discussed.

Relationship between Growth Factors and Spectral Characteristics of Satellite Imagery in Korea

  • This study attempts to analyze the relationship between forest volume and age based on 5th NFI data and spectral characteristics of satellite imagery using ASTER sensor in Korea. Forest stand volume and age had the negative correlation with the spectral reflectance in all of the band (Blue, Green, Red, SWIR). With increasing of stand volume and age, spectral reflectance decrease. The spectral reflectance of band1 showed the highest correlation between stand volume and spectral reflectance among the VNIR wavelength. The spectral reflectance band 1, 2 (visible wavelength) and stand age have high correlation compared to other bands. The correlation coefficients between forest volume and vegetation indices have low relationship. This result indicates that the reflectance of blue band may be important factor to improve the potential of optical remote sensing data to estimate forest volume and age.

A Max-Flow-Based Similarity Measure for Spectral Clustering

  • In most spectral clustering approaches, the Gaussian kernel-based similarity measure is used to construct the affinity matrix. However, such a similarity measure does not work well on a dataset with a nonlinear and elongated structure. In this paper, we present a new similarity measure to deal with the nonlinearity issue. The maximum flow between data points is computed as the new similarity, which can satisfy the requirement for similarity in the clustering method. Additionally, the new similarity carries the global and local relations between data. We apply it to spectral clustering and compare the proposed similarity measure with other state-of-the-art methods on both synthetic and real-world data. The experiment results show the superiority of the new similarity: 1) The max-flow-based similarity measure can significantly improve the performance of spectral clustering; 2) It is robust and not sensitive to the parameters.

KOMPSAT-2 전정색영상과 다중분광영상의 융합기법 비교평가 (Comparison of Image Fusion Methods to Merge KOMPSAT-2 Panchromatic and Multispectral Images)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 KOMPSAT-2 위성영상에 가장 일반적으로 적용 가능한 영상융합기법을 제시하는 것이다. 가장 널리 사용되는 영상융합기법인 HPF, modified IHS, pan-sharpened, wavelet을 지역적, 계절적 특성이 서로 다른 4장의 KOMPSAT-2 위성영상에 적용하였고, 각각의 융합결과를 공간적, 분광적으로 비교분석하였다. 영상융합기법의 품질평가는 시각적 분석과 정량적 분석을 병행하여 수행하였으며, 정량적 분석에는 spatial ERGAS, spectral ERGAS, SAM, Q4가 사용되었다. 종합적인 분석결과를 고려할 때, pan-sharpened가 색상정보와 공간정보의 균형적인 보존 측면에서 다른 융합기법들에 비해, 상대적으로 우수한 결과를 나타냈다. modified-IHS의 경우, 공간정보는 잘 보존하였지만 다소 큰 색상 왜곡이 발생되었고, HPF와 wavelet은 색상 왜곡은 적었지만, 공간정보의 왜곡이 발생하였다.

분광 상호정보를 이용한 하이퍼스펙트럴 영상분류 (Classification of Hyperspectral Images Using Spectral Mutual Information)

  • 하이퍼스펙트럴 영상자료는 객체에 대한 많은 정보를 함유하고 있어 객체의 보다 정확한 분류가 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 하이퍼스펙트럴 영상분류를 위하여 SMI(Spectral Mutual Information)이라는 새로운 스펙트럼 유사도 측정기법을 제안하였다. 본 방법은 정보이론 분야에서 대두된 상호정보량의 개념을 차용하여 고안되었으며 스펙트럼간의 통계적 의존성을 측정할 수 있다. SMI는 영상의 각 화소스펙트럼을 확률변수로 간주하고 두 스펙트럼간의 유사 상호정보량을 통하여 유사도를 측정함으로써 영상을 분류한다. 제안된 기법의 효율성을 평가하기 위해 기존에 개발된 SAM, SSV 분류기법을 이용하여 동일지역에 대해 분류를 수행하고 분류 정확도를 비교 평가하였다. 실험결과 제안한 SMI 기법은 하이퍼스펙트럴 영상분류에 유용하게 적용될 수 있으리라 판단된다.
