심박변이도(Heart Rate Variability) 측정을 통한 다한증(多汗症)환자의 자율신경계(自律神經系)기능 평가 (Evaluation of Autonomic Function in Patients with Hyperhidrosis by Power Spectral Analysis of Heart Rate Variability)

  • Objectives : Essential hyperhidrosis is a socially and occupationally disabling disorder. There are many suggestions that hyperhidrosis is associated with the autonomic nervous system. This study was designed to investigate the autonomic nerve system the patients with hyperhidrosis. Methods : 348 palmar and plantar hyperhidrosis patients and 20 systemic hyperhidrosis patients in the ambulatory care were investigated. All patients were inspected at the first medical examination, using the PSA of HRV. HRV was measured for 5 minutes after 5 minutes' bed rest. We checked the frequency domain analysis of HRV (i.e. TP, VLF, LF, HF and LF/HF) which were transformed into natural logarithm of patients against the standard measures of the HRV components. Then, we compared the means of patients with means and highest values of in the normal range of Koreans 1) between the patients with palmar and plantar hyperhidrosis and the healthy controls and 2) between the patients with the systemic hyperhidrosis and healthy controls, by the frequency domain analysis of heart rate variability (HRV), respectively. We then compared the results between 1) and 2). Results : The values of natural logarithmic measures of LF/HF ratio in the patients with palmar and plantar hyperhidrosis we examined were significantly higher than the values of healthy controls, but those in the patients with systemic hyperhidrosis were not higher. Conclusion : This study suggests that the autonomic nervous function did not simply increase but that the balance between sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous function did matter in patients with palmar and plantar hyperhidrosis. This balance included that the sympathetic nervous function aggravated comparatively with parasympathetic nervous function. On the other hand, we couldn't find any significance of the patients with the systemic hyperhidrosis as for the autonomic nervous function.

VLBI상관서브시스템의 검증을 위한 소프트웨어 시뮬레이터의 개발 및 성능시험 (DEVELOPMENT AND PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF SOFTWARE SIMULATOR FOR APPROVING OF VLBI CORRELATION SUBSYSTEM)

  • A software simulator is developed for verifying the VLBI Correlation Subsystem (VCS) trial product hardware. This software simulator includes the delay tracking, fringe rotation, bit-jump, FFT analysis, re-quantization, and auto/cross-correlation functions so as to confirm the function of the VCS trial product hardware. To verify the effectiveness of the developed software simulator, we carried out experiments using the simulation data which is a mixed signal with white noise and tone signal generated by software. We confirmed that the performance of this software simulator is similar as that of the hardware system. In case of spectral analysis and re-quantization experiment, a serious problem of the VCS hardware, which is not enough for expressing the data stream of FFT results specified in VCS hardware specification, was found by this software simulator. Through the experiments, the performance of software simulator was verified to be efficient. In future, we will improve and modify the function of software simulator to be used as a software correlator of Korea-Japan Joint VLBI Correlator (KJJVC).

  • Heaps(1972)가 사용한 천해균질류에 대한 선형 기본방정식을 수심평균류속과 해수면변리를 계산하는 External mode와 수심변이 유속을 계산하는 Internal mode로 분리시킨 다음, Internal mode식에 Galerkin Method를 적용하였다. Internal mode유속을 수평좌표, 시간에 따라 변하는 계수와 대직좌표에 따라 변하는 Basis function들의 곱의 형태로 선형전개하며, 난류확산계수를 포함하는 2차미분항으로부터 해수면에 Homogeneous boundary condition과 해저면에 Sheared boundary condition이 가해지는 Sturm-Liouville system을 구성, Eigenfunctions 해를 구하여 Basis function으로 사용하였다. 모델의 성능을 검토하기 위하여 수립된 모델을 정상균일풍이 가해지는 1차원 수노에 적용하여 Cooper and Pearce(1977)가 제시한 해저면 비활동조건하의 무한 및 유한수노 연직류원분포에 대한 해석각와 비교하였으며, North Sea 규모의 등수심 장방형 Basin(Heaps' Basin)에 적용하여 정상균일풍에 대한 Heaps(1972)의 계산결과와 비교하였다.

마이크로폰 어레이 신호의 잡음 제거를 위한 강인한 다채널 위너 필터 (Robust Multi-channel Wiener Filter for Suppressing Noise in Microphone Array Signal)

  • 본 논문에서는 다채널 위너 필터를 이용하여 마이크로폰 어레이에서 취득된 신호의 잡음을 제거하는 방법을 다룬다. 다채널 위너 필터는 음성 신호의 방향에 대한 정보를 필요로 하지 않는 필터로서 단일 음성 음원의 경우, 음성 왜곡을 발생시키지 않는 MVDR (Minimum Variance Distortionless Response) 공간 필터와 단일 채널 스펙트럼 필터로 분리될 수 있다. MVDR의 방향벡터에 해당하는 단일 음성 음원과 마이크로폰 어레이 간의 음향 전달 함수는 다채널 위너 필터의 부공간 분해 (subspace decomposition)를 이용하여 추정할 수 있다. 이 때 상관 행렬 추정 과정에서 발생하는 오차로 인해 추정되는 음향 전달 함수에도 오차가 발생하게 되며 이에 따라 다채널 위너 필터를 구성하는 MVDR은 음성 왜곡을 발생시키게 된다. 이러한 음성 왜곡을 완화시키기 위해 diagonal loading을 적용하고 실험을 통해 그 효과를 검증한다. 실험에서는 7개의 선형 마이크로폰으로 수집된 데이터를 이용하였으며 잡음을 섞기 전 신호와 잡음을 섞은 후 필터를 통과시킨 신호 간의 MFCC 오차를 측정한다. 실험 결과, diagonal loading을 통해 MFCC 오차를 줄일 수 있음을 확인하였다.

Auto-guiding Performance from IGRINS Test Observations (Immersion GRating INfrared Spectrograph)

  • In astronomical spectroscopy, stable auto-guiding and accurate target centering capabilities are critical to increase the achievement of high observation efficiency and sensitivity. We developed an instrument control software for the Immersion GRating INfrared Spectrograph (IGRINS), a high spectral resolution near-infrared slit spectrograph with (R=40,000). IGRINS is currently installed on the McDonald 2.7 m telescope in Texas, USA. We had successful commissioning observations in March, May, and July of 2014. The role of the IGRINS slit-viewing camera (SVC) is to move the target onto the slit, and to provide feedback about the tracking offsets for the auto-guiding. For a point source, we guide the telescope with the target on the slit. While for an extended source, we use another a guide star in the field offset from the slit. Since the slit blocks the center of the point spread function, it is challenging to fit the Gaussian function to guide and center the target on slit. We developed several center finding algorithms, e.g., 2D-Gaussian Fitting, 1D-Gaussian Fitting, and Center Balancing methods. In this presentation, we show the results of auto-guiding performances with these algorithms.

톤버스트 응답 신호의 스펙트럼 추정에 의한 배터리의 SoC 측정에 관한 연구 (A Study on SoC Measurement of Battery by Spectrum Estimation of Tone Burst Response Signal)

  • 배터리의 열화는 SoC 및 SoH의 변화에 따라 결정된다. 배터리의 열화를 판정하기 위해 전달 함수에 의한 배터리 SoC를 측정 하는 방법을 연구 하였다. 배터리의 SoC는 DC 저항이 검출되는 1Hz 대역에서 가장 크게 변화 한다. 하지만 관측하기 협소한 대역이기 때문에 톤버스트 신호를 입력신호로 사용하여 배터리의 주파수 응답대역을 대역을 1kHz로 이동 시켰다. 신호의 주파수 영역 특성을 관측을 위해 Welch스펙트럼 추정 방법을 사용하였다. 스펙트럼 추정 결과 배터리의 응답 신호는 SoC가 40%, 60%, 80% 일 때 각각 1dB의 차이를 갖는 것을 확인 하였으며, 이를 통해 새로운 배터리 SoC의 측정 방식을 제안 하였다.

지각 특성 및 라우드니스를 이용한 입체음향의 성능 개선 (Enhancement of the 3D Sound's Performance using Perceptual Characteristics and Loudness)

  • 인간의 청각기관은 소리의 방향과 거리인지에 있어서 양 귀에 들어오는 소리세기의 차이, 위상의 차이, 그리고 주파수 스펙트럼의 차이 등의 정보들을 복합적으로 이용한다. 이런 정보를 종합적으로 포함하고 있는 것을 머리전달함수라 하며, 이를 이용하여 실질적으로 존재하지 않는 음원을 근사적으로 생성할 수 있는 입체음향 시스템을 구현할 수 있다. 그러나 비개인화 된 머리전달함수는 음상정위 성능을 떨어뜨리는 주된 원인이 된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이 머리전달함수를 이용한 3차원 음상정위를 위해 사람의 청각 특성을 이용한 알고리즘을 제안한다. 청자가 정확한 방향을 인지하기 위해 1차로 측정된 머리전달함수의 청각 자극 에너지를, 2차로 전역 마스킹 임계치와 라우드니스를 이용하여 방향감을 강조하였다. 제안된 알고리즘의 성능 평가를 위해 청감 테스트를 수행하였으며 실험결과 기존의 알고리즘에 비해 입체음향의 전체적인 인지도가 50% 이상 증가하였음을 확인할 수 있었다.

Different Types of Active Region EUV Bright Points by Hinode/EIS

  • We have investigated seven Extreme-Ultraviolet (EUV) bright points in the active region (AR 10926) on 2006 December 2 by the EUV imaging spectrometer (EIS) onboard Hinode spacecraft. We determined their Doppler velocities and non-thermal velocities from 15 EUV spectral lines (log T=4.7-7.2) by fitting each line profile to a Gaussian function. We present the Doppler velocity map as a function of temperature which corresponds to a different height. As a result, these active region bright points show two different types of characteristics. Type 1 bright point shows a systematic increase of Doppler velocity from -68 km/s (blue shift) at log T=4.7 to 27 km/s (red shift) at log T=6.7, while type 2 bright points have Doppler velocities in the range of -20 km/s and 20 km/s. Using MDI magnetograms, we found that only type 1 bright point was associated with the canceling magnetic feature at the rate of $2.4{\times}10^{18}$ Mx/hour. When assuming that these bright points are caused by magnetic reconnection and the Doppler shift indicates reconnection out flow, the pattern of the Doppler shift implies that type 1 bright point should be related to low atmosphere magnetic reconnection. We also determined electron densities from line ratio as well as temperatures from emission measure loci using CHIANTI atomic database. The electron densities of all bright points are comparable to typical values of active regions (log Ne=9.9-10.4). For the temperature analysis, the emission loci plots indicate that these bright points should not be isothermal though background is isothermal. The DEM analysis also show that while the background has a single peak distribution (isothermal), the EUV bright points, double peak distributions.

HMM을 기반으로 한 자율이동로봇의 음성명령 인식시스템의 개발 (Development of Autonomous Mobile Robot with Speech Teaching Command Recognition System Based on Hidden Markov Model)

  • Generally, a mobile robot is moved by original input programs. However, it is very hard for a non-expert to change the program generating the moving path of a mobile robot, because he doesn't know almost the teaching command and operating method for driving the robot. Therefore, the teaching method with speech command for a handicapped person without hands or a non-expert without an expert knowledge to generate the path is required gradually. In this study, for easily teaching the moving path of the autonomous mobile robot, the autonomous mobile robot with the function of speech recognition is developed. The use of human voice as the teaching method provides more convenient user-interface for mobile robot. To implement the teaching function, the designed robot system is composed of three separated control modules, which are speech preprocessing module, DC servo motor control module, and main control module. In this study, we design and implement a speaker dependent isolated word recognition system for creating moving path of an autonomous mobile robot in the unknown environment. The system uses word-level Hidden Markov Models(HMM) for designated command vocabularies to control a mobile robot, and it has postprocessing by neural network according to the condition based on confidence score. As the spectral analysis method, we use a filter-bank analysis model to extract of features of the voice. The proposed word recognition system is tested using 33 Korean words for control of the mobile robot navigation, and we also evaluate the performance of navigation of a mobile robot using only voice command.

단순 지적과업 중 인간과오 관련 심리생리학적 특성의 변화 (Variation of Psychophysiological Characteristics Related with Human Errors during a Simple Pointing Task)

  • During a learning process, a human being is assumed to experience knowledge-based behaviors, rule-based behaviors, and skill-based behaviors sequentially if Rasmussen was right. If any psycho-physiological symptom to those different levels can be obtained, it can be useful as a measure whether a human being is fully trained and has gotten a skill in his work. Therefore, this study aimed to draw relationships between human performance measures and psycho-physiological measures while committing a computer-simulated pointing task by utilizing the power spectrum technique of EEG data, especially with the ratio of relative beta-to-alpha band power. The result showed that, during correct responses, the ratio came to stabilize as all the performance data went stable. However, response time was not a simple linear function of task difficulty level only, but a joint function of task characteristics as well as behavior levels. Comparing relative band power ratios from errors and correct responses, activated states of one's brain could be explained, and characteristics of the task could understood. To tell that of pointing task, correlations around C3, C4, P3, P4 and 01, 02 area were significant and high in correct response cases whereas most correlation coefficients went down in error cases standing for imbalance of psycho-motor functions. Though task difficulty was the only one factor that could influence on relative band power ratio with statistical significance, it should be comprehended to mean a different way of expression indicating task characteristics since at least error-some situation could be explained with the help of relative band power ratio that absolute band power failed.
