Hybrid rocket combustion experiments using liquefying diaphragm made by blended liquefying fuel with 10 wt% of LDPE were performed. Results of experiments were compared to the those of pure paraffin. In case of using liquefying diaphragm, regression rate of rear fuel grain, characteristic velocity and specific impulse highly increased due to the induced turbulent intensity and heat transfer. The serious combustion instability was not observed in analysis of combustion instability. These results can imply that the liquefying diaphragm is efficient to improve low combustion efficiency in hybrid rocket using liquefying fuel.

This study aimed at preparing the solid propellants featuring high pressure exponent available for throttleable rocket system development. The combustion properties of solid propellant based on PCP as a prepolymer were investigated with the different nitramine oxidizer, HMX and HNIW. As a main oxidizer, HNIW could deliver higher burning rate, specific impulse and flame temperature than HMX. In addition, the introduction of AP as a co-oxidizer in PCP/Nitramine propellants could enhance burning rate, specific impulse and flame temperature, showing the lower pressure exponent with increasing the content of fine-sized AP, total solids and plasticizer. Moreover, we examined the temperature sensitivity on burning rate of propellants between 150 psia and 2,500 psia.
Impulse waves generated by landslides near water bodies can lead to fatal damage to human life and surrounding infrastructure. These impulse waves are generally called landslide-impulsed waves and occur without being limited to a specific area. Recently, localized torrential rains have frequently occurred due to the influence of abnormal weather, both the frequency and scale of landslides occurring in Korea are increasing. Therefore, in this study, the experiments were conducted according to the mass ratio of the landslide models, and among the characteristics of the generated landslide-impulse waves. And the wave amplitude was observed and analyzed. In this study, a total of 75 experiments were conducted by repeating the experiment 5 times for 15 cases with mass ratios of 5 landslide models and 3 types of slope angles. As a result of experiments with different mass ratios of landslide models, if the landslides have the same initial energy, the size of the landslide-impulse waves generated by mixing granular and block forms is higher than the size of the landslide-impulse waves generated by pure granular and block landslides. It is analyzed that the size may be larger.

There are various methods to join mechanical structures together. They typically include welding, mechanical joints by bolts and other processes depending on specific needs. Analyses of joints in the mechanical structures are essential in understanding the dynamic characteristics of the structures. In this research an impulse technique is applies to investigate the dynamic behavior of joints produced by bolts. The length overlap in the joints was varied as the number of the bolts in the joins was changed. Also, the torque applied to the bolts were adjusted. Resonance frequencies were determined for the joints to evaluate the relationship between the increase in the applied torque and the increase in the number of bolts used in the joints. The results have demonstrated that the resonance frequencies of the joints increase with the increasing torque.
This paper describes an engineering model development of a pulsed plasma thruster, which is capable of an impulse bit of 20uNs and a specific impulse of 800s. The solid fuel which is Teflon allows for a self-contained, inert and stable propellant system. And, the PPT technology makes it possible to consider a revolutionary attitude control system (ACS) concept providing stabilization and pointing accuracies previously obtainable only with reaction wheels, with reduced mass and power requirements.
A new parameter W/R for the class I test have been introduced in the IEC 61643-1 published in 2005. One of the possible test impulses which meets the parameters for class I test is the 10/350 [${\mu}s$] waveshape proposed in IEC61312-1. 10/350 [${\mu}s$] waveshape meets parameters for class I test in the IEC 61643-1. The impulse generator for making the 10/350 [${\mu}s$] waveshape is consist of IVG, ICG, crowbar coil and crowbar switch. The electric change Q and the specific energy W/R were measured and calculated using the exclusive use measuring software according to the formula of IEC 611643-1. We verified the correspondence between measured results using impulse generator and recommended parameters by IEC 61643-1.
Consumers can share their diverse opinions about products due to the increased popularity of smartphones and the internet that enables increased access to the websites and encourages the use of 'SNS' (Social Network Services). Social commerce has expanded rapidly as a mainstream online shopping channel over the past year, compelling consumers to spend more money vis-$\grave{a}$-vis social commerce websites. This allows individuals to see different lists of prices for specific products; however, it is also likely to lead to serious compulsive buying. Despite these changing trends, earlier studies have been limited to factors that affect impulse purchases vis-$\grave{a}$-vis Internet shopping malls; therefore, in is salient to conduct research on consumer spending habits related to social commerce websites. This study describes the characteristics of consumers and utilizes social commerce websites as parameters for the impact of impulsive shopping based on a survey of 300 women in their 20's who have experienced impulse buying vis-$\grave{a}$-vis social commerce websites. This study shows that: First, discounts, product scarcity and social commerce site's reputation affect impulse buying when consumers buy products from the social commerce websites. Second, variables on the characteristics of the personal experiences, interests, and self-control also stimulate impulsive purchases.

Since most clothing research has still centered around buying behavior, the importance of consumer behavior which exists outside the purchase context has been neglected. This orientation focusing solely on purchase-related processes is deficient as it cannot account for consumer behavior that is recreational or that occurs without a recognized consumption need. In this vein, clothing browsing behavior can be a significant variable that has effects on clothing purchase-related variables. So to speak, browsers do make purchases at times; delayed-action purchases, impulse purchases and browsers may provide other less informed people with product information. In this study, we used definition proposed by Bloch and Richins(1983), which defines non purchase shopping(browsing) as 1,he examination of merchandises of a store for recreational or informational purposes without a current intention to buy. The specific objectives of the study were to identify the dimensions of clothing non -purchase shopping and to determine the causal relationship among clothing involvement, non-purchase shopping, impulse buying, purchase quantity, opinion leadership. The questionnaire method was used and 366 questionnaires were analyzed. Results can be summarized as follows. First, the non-purchase shopping was divided into two dimensions such as recreational non-purchase shopping and informational non-purchase shopping Of the two dimensions, recreational dimension explained the greater part than informational one. Second, it was revealed that clothing involvement was strongly positively related to non-purchase shopping, which influenced considerably on impulse buying, purchase quantity, and opinion leadership. In other words, clothing non-purchase shopping behaivor is very significant concept of clothing product category and has considerable effects on clothing buying though it occurs independently of purchase, so it seems that much more concern will be needed on this concept.
Design of velocity-compounded turbine for 75ton class LRE turbopump application and pressure compounded turbine for 30ton class LRE turbopump has been performed. 1D calculation and CFD analysis were conducted in determining blade and flow passage shape of velocity compounded turbine iteratively. Finally, 23.1% improved specific power and 5% reduced weight turbine to the original design was developed. In case of pressure-compounded supersonic turbine design, rotational speed was increased by 50% and the effect of carryover ratio, 2nd nozzle installation angle, leakage flow of 2nd nozzle, and work sharing factor was studied. Final 1D design resulted 36% increased specific power and 51% reduced weight comparing to the original single-row impulse turbine. It is anticipated that nozzle flow path design will be very important for the accomplishment of expected performance of pressure-compounded turbine and nozzle shape optimization will be conducted through the CFD analysis.
