  • The purpose of this study is to obtain basic data on the properties of the development of lightweight mortar contained foam agent for various applications in the field. In the experiment, as a result of measurement the specific gravity by the change of the W/C and the foam agent into a variable and measuring the compressive strength of mortar, specific gravity checked that a compressive strength therefore increased. Mortar is using lightweight foam agent having the change of specific gravity, the water cement ratio $50\%,\;40\%,\;30\%$. This paper present extensive data on the characteristics of strength of the lightweight mortar and also presents the mechanical characteristics of the lightweight according to specific gravity.

  • In this paper, Based on Two-dimensional Flow Theory, adopting quasi-orthogonal method and point-by-point integration method to design the impeller of the low specific speed centrifugal pump by code, and using RANS (Reynolds Averaged N-S) Equation with a standard k-${\varepsilon}$ two-equation turbulence model and log-law wall function to solve 3D turbulent flow field in the impeller of the low specific speed pump. An analysis of the influences of the blade profile on velocity distributions, pressure distributions and pump performance and the investigation of the flow regulation pattern in the impeller of the centrifugal pump are presented. And the result shows that this method can be used as a new way in low speed centrifugal pump impeller design.

  • Due to the introduction of CR and DR, it has been neglected the use of the X-ray beam collimator and field size. This study examines nationwide survey of the proper use of collimator and field size by area in a specific field of plain radiography and the current status. Authors emphasized the need for the field size criteria, and propose a standard reference field size in each specific radiologic examination. Total 333 medical institutions (included in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Jeolla, Chungcheong, Gangwon-do, Busan area), were investigated in relation to the status of the X-ray beam collimation field size, type specific inspection areas, medical facilities, and image analyses by type to figure out whether they use the adjustment of image field to the specific examination. To assess the awareness and the impact of radiation exposure to the collimation adjustable, 168 radiographers who was working in 10 general hospitals, 10 hospitals, and 10 clinics, were surveyed how they haver adjusted the actual field size. We examine that 61.3% of medical institutions used the "Proper collimation" and only 49.9% of them employed proper one in lumbar spine densely crowded by major organs. 69% among general hospitals, and 65% among hospitals using DR system were using proper collimation. Radiographers recognized that proper adjustment of collimation could reduce the harmful radiation dose on patients. In the survey, 97.6% of respondents were aware of this fact, but only 83.3% of respondents did the adjustment of the size of the collimation field. The using of proper collimation field was low in the nationwide survey, so the effort to reduce the radiation dose on the patients is urgently needed. A unified standard for the field accompanied by thorough education should be needed.

  • Recent developments in MS-based glycomics and glycoproteomics have rapidly advanced the field and pushed the boundaries of glyco-analysis into new territories. This review will lay out current workflows and strategies for characterization of the glycoproteome, including (in order of increasing complexity and information content) preliminary site mapping, compositional glycan profiling, isomer-specific glycan profiling, glycosite-specific glycopeptide profiling, and finally, glycoproteomic profiling.

  • Among certain animals, gut microbiomes demonstrate species-specific patterns of beta diversity. This host-specificity is a potent driver of exogenous microbial exclusion. To overcome persistent translational limitations, translational microbiome research and therapeutic development must account for host-specific patterns of microbial engraftment. This commentary seeks to highlight the important implications of host-specificity for microbial ecology, Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT), next-generation probiotics, and translational microbiota research.

  • Surface plasmons (SPs) are charge density oscillations that propagate along an interface between a dielectric and metal. In this paper, the electric field of SPs and the intereference of two SPs are observed by using Near-field Scanning Optical Microscope (NSOM). The excitation condition of SPs is changed as the optical tip approaches the metal surface, because the excitation condition of SPs is very sensitive to surface structures. To measure the microscope field of SPs, the distance between metal surface and optical tip must contain a specific interval.

  • In the present paper, we theoretically analyze the flow of magnetic fluids in a circular pipe with a vertical magnetic field and investigate the magnetic response by the external magnetic field. Theoretical study through the governing equation derived by Siliomis is carried out with numerical analysis by the Gauss Elimination Method. Using polar and magnetic effect parameters, theoretical equations and distributions for the velocity, vorticity, internal angular momentum and induced magnetization as the magnetic response are shown. Especially, in the region of strong magnetic field the specific property is appeared by finding a critical magnetic effect parameter for a polar effect parameter.

  • We used recording device(EDR-3) to monitor the packages and the vehicle during shipment. Provided we did this enough times, we began to gain statistically valid information which could be used to describe the particular channel of distribution. The event was obviously changed from trip to trip, but in general we could have an idea of what to expect. Considerable amount of time and money were invested to record field data. Although not ideal, it was the best suited approach to gain information regarding a specific distribution channel. Based on the recorded field data, we could make our own packaging vibration testing specification through MIL-STD-810D(Guidance for development of laboratory dynamic test specification). This test specification was proved several times through field tests. As a result, we gained confidence in this revised vibration specification and come to know the development procedures of a laboratory dynamic test specification.

  • Because soil compaction is a concern in crop production and environmental pollution, quantification and management of spatial and vertical variability in soil compaction for soil strength) would be a useful aspect of site -specific field management. In this paper, a soil strength profile sensor (SSPS) that could take measurements continuously while traveling across the field was developed and the performance was evaluated through laboratory and field tests. The SSPS obtained data simultaneously at 5 evenly spaced depths up to 50 em using an array of load cells, each of which was interfaced with a soil-cutting tip. Means of soil strength measurements collected in adjacent, parallel transects were not significantly different, confirming the repeatability of soil strength sensing with the SSPS. Maps created with sensor data showed spatial and vertical variability in soil strength. Depth to the restrictive layer was different for different field locations, and only 5 to 16% of the tested field areas were highly compacted.

  • The model test and field test for an infiltration trench were carried out to estimate the infiltration quantity in a granular ground with high permeability like Jeju's ground. The specific infiltration equation was suggested on the basis of the model test result. It shows that the infiltration quantity by the proposed equation is larger than about two times of that by the existed equation. Meanwhile, the infiltration quantity from field test is similar to that from the proposed equation as the result of comparison between infiltration quantity of the filed test and that of the proposed equation and the existed equation. Therefore, it may be right that the proposed equation is applied to estimate the infiltration quantity of the infiltration trench in a granular ground with high permeability.
