A non-hepatotoxic dose of dichloromethane (DCM) was examined for potential effects on the hepatotoxicity of carbon tetrachloride (CT) in adult male rats. A concomitant treatment of DCM (0.45ml/kg, po) significantly potentiated the hepatotoxicity of CT at varing doses (0.06 to 0.63 ml/kg, po) as determined by increase in SGOT and SGPT activities 24 hn following the treatments. The carboxyhemoglobin (COHb) saturation induced by DCM was significantly decreased by CT treatments. The potentiation of CT hepatotoxicity by DCM does not appear to be associated with increased metabolism of CT.

The U.S. Congress has been known to effectively control the bureaucracy. On one hand, Congress adjusts the degree of discretion provided to the bureaucracy when making agencies or legislation: ex ante control. On the other hand, it also performs the oversight activities to punish or correct undesirable behaviors of bureaucrats: ex post control. While the dynamics of each control mechanism is widely examined theoretically, few have attempted to empirically investigate this with a special attention to partisan politics in Congress. I attempt to fill this gap by measuring the two types of control mechanisms, testing theoretical assertions, and analyzing the dynamics under the two control mechanisms.

The objective of the study was to design a Battle Dress Uniform(BDU with improved motional flexibility, body fit, and protectiveness to cope with the special operational environment of the subjects. For this purpose, the researcher conducted a questionnaire survey on 92 male members of Special Weapon Attack Team(SWAT units in a former study, and based on the results of the survey, made the two-piece and one- piece BDU samples to overcome the identified problems and inconveniences. The sample uniforms were designed ergonomically from five aspects. Subsequentlv, the new BDU was compared with the current operational uniform in terms of outward appearance(design and fit), motional flexibility, and suitability for field activities. The samples were evaluated by 5 SWAT members as subjects and 8 graduate school students majoring in clothing and textiles as experts. According to the results, the two-piece and one-piece samples gained higher scores than the existing operational uniform in terms of outward appearance(design and fitness) and motional flexibility, and the one-piece sample was preferred with regard to fit when worn by the subjects with their full kit for field operations. That is, the one-piece sample appeared to be more suited to the special work environment of SWAT and to be more functional in terms of ease of putting on and taking off, motional flexibility, body fit and protectiveness than the current operational uniform(two-piece type).

The purpose of this study is to clarify the daily living activities of the elderly with dementia and user oriented spatial needs of the staff in the common space of nursing home in Japan. Data was taken from six units of the 2 skilled facilities. The results revealed as follows; 4 types of elderly activities were founded, and physical environmental characteristics affected residents' space usage. And it was perceived like as living oriented space, social interaction space, facility space, staff oriented space. Conclusively it was suggested to plan dining space as semi-private space, day corner as semi-public space.

소프트웨어 개발환경이 대형화, 복잡화됨에 따라 개발 생명주기의 각 단계에서 발생하는 요구사항은 기술적, 관리적 측면에서 많은 영향을 받게 되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 요구공학과 CMM에서 제시하는 활동을 기반으로 완전성과 일치성을 가진 안정적인 요구사항의 생성 및 관리 등을 포함하는 총체적인 프로세스와 활동에 대한 공학적 접근을 제시하여 전체 소프트웨어 개발비용과 위험부담을 경감시키며 품질향상을 이룰 수 있도록 한다.

Chitosan is widely used in cosmetics and medical fields. Special emphasis has been put on the chemical modification of chitosan to explore its full potential. We have described the synthesis and biological activity of novel peptide amino acid derivatives. The polyamino acid derivatives were synthesized by introducing alkylamine functional group on chitosan at C-6. The poor aqueous solubility of chitosan derivatives hinder both pharmacological studies and pharmaceutical development. To make amino acid coupled chitosan derivatives with improved biological effect and solubility, some attempts have been taken to consist of amino peptide group like aspartic acid and phenylalanine-aspartic acid derivatives onto chitosan C-6. The resultingly substituted chitosan was characterized by solubility in various solvents. We measured chitosan derivatives with $^1H$-NMR and $^{13}C$-NMR. Also, We were investigated on the physical properties and biological activities of these products.

제주특별자치도는 관광산업에 대하여 적극적으로 투자활동과 함께 관광객 유치를 위한 홍보활동을 지속하였다. 그러나, 대부분의 연구가 하드웨어 중심으로 진행되었기 때문에 제주도 관광객들의 특성을 파악하고, 관광목적지 선택속성에 따른 관광만족과 관광후 행동간의 관계를 규명한 연구들은 부족한 실정이다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 제주 관광객 특성, 관광만족, 그리고, 관광후 행동의 영향관계를 구명하여 제주 관광 정책을 수립하는 데 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다.

The size and location of spaces need to be changed for teaching & learning activities in open education. This study is aimed to investigate how school facilities should be rearranged when the open education is implemented in elementary school. Some considerations such as enlargement of classroom, establishment of open space, and provision of various self-learning spaces are proposed for the rearrangement. It is also recommended that (1) a space for research and conference for teachers, (2) a multi-learning space to be utilized by connecting general and special classrooms, and (3) an open space for exclusive use of one grade or two grades be established.

The purpose of this survey was to find out the actual conditions of living and housing needs of three generation family in the sharing apartment houses in Sang-Gye area. 1. General family type was one which is living with single parent (female), middle-aged couple and their children togeter. 2. Their main mobility to move in this houses was because of the special design of sharing apartment houses. 3. Most of actual dwelling activities of old parents and middle aged couple were performed in condition of space-integration except a few activities. 4. The "Space-compromise type" was proved as the most ideal type of three generation sharing house in our country. In which, private spaces (such as bed rooms and bath rooms) are planned to be used seperately, public spaces (such as living room and dining room) together. 5. It would be better if massionette type was taken in the case of more than 30 pyung (net area).net area).

This paper examines how costume, as a means of communication, acts on an individual a society, and a nation by analyzing especially the costume-wearing activities of Gandhi, an Indian national leader, in the nineteenth-century India colonized by Britain. The results are as follows. 1. Change of costume in Gandhi's case corresponds with mental change. 2. Gandhi's costume-wearing activities show his social status. 3. Gandhi's costume acts as a means of communication ; it manipulates and rules social events, transforming social -political identities. Thus, costume has a close relation to man's life. And it is an important means of communication influencing man and man's environments.
