사회적 체계 이론의 지식 네트워크 분석 연구 - Niklas Luhmann의 후속연구를 중심으로 - (A Study on Knowledge Network Analysis of Social System Theory: Focused on Follow-up Studies on Niklas Luhmann)

  • Niklas Luhmann은 다른 학문 분야에도 막강한 영향력을 끼치고 있는 사회학자이다. 따라서 Luhmann의 이론이 후속 연구자들에게 어떤 영향력을 끼쳤는지를 검토할 필요가 있다. 이 연구는 Niklas Luhmann의 이론을 연구하는 후속연구자들의 지식 네트워크를 분석하였고, 분석 방법은 서지결합과 동시인용을 사용하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 서지결합분석을 통해서는 남미·스페인어권, 서유럽·영미권, 동·북유럽 및 기타 어권으로 클러스터가 나뉘었다. 둘째, 서지결합 노드 단위 분석에서는 주로 Luhmann의 핵심 저작을 인용한 경우, Luhmann의 주변 저작들을 인용한 경우로 나뉘었다. 셋째, 동시인용분석을 통해서는 Luhmann의 저작 중 반복적으로 인용되는 핵심 저작군이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 동시인용 네트워크의 노드 단위 분석에서는 12개의 핵심 저작이 도출되었고, 핵심 저작들은 주제에 따라 4개의 저작군으로 나타났다.

Autism Spectrum Disorder Detection in Children using the Efficacy of Machine Learning Approaches

  • For the future prosperity of any society, the sound growth of children is essential. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurobehavioral disorder which has an impact on social interaction of autistic child and has an undesirable effect on his learning, speaking, and responding skills. These children have over or under sensitivity issues of touching, smelling, and hearing. Its symptoms usually appear in the child of 4- to 11-year-old but parents did not pay attention to it and could not detect it at early stages. The process to diagnose in recent time is clinical sessions that are very time consuming and expensive. To complement the conventional method, machine learning techniques are being used. In this way, it improves the required time and precision for diagnosis. We have applied TFLite model on image based dataset to predict the autism based on facial features of child. Afterwards, various machine learning techniques were trained that includes Logistic Regression, KNN, Gaussian Naïve Bayes, Random Forest and Multi-Layer Perceptron using Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ) dataset to improve the accuracy of the ASD detection. On image based dataset, TFLite model shows 80% accuracy and based on AQ dataset, we have achieved 100% accuracy from Logistic Regression and MLP models.

A Repository for Publications on Basic Occupational Health Services and Similar Health Care Innovations

  • Background: Occupational health services are not available for more than 80% of the global workforce. This pertains especially to informal workers, workers in agriculture and in small enterprises, and self-employed. Many are working in hazardous conditions. The World Health Organization, the International Labor Organization, the International Commission on Occupational Health, and the World Organization of Family Doctors promote as part of a solution, basic occupational health services (BOHS) integrated in primary or community health care. Quality information on this topic is difficult to find. The objective of this study is to develop an open access bibliography, a repository, referring to publications on BOHS and similar innovations, to support progress and research. Methods: The database design and sustaining literature searches (PubMed, Google Scholar, SciELO) are described. For each publication selected, basic bibliographic data, a brief content description considering copyright restrictions, and a hyperlink are included. Results: Searches resulted in a database containing 189 references to publications on BOHS such as articles in scientific journals, reports, policy documents, and abstracts of lectures. A global perspective is applied in 43 publications, a national or regional perspective is applied in 146 publications. Operational and evaluative research material is still scarce. Examples of references to publications are shown. Conclusion: The repository can inspire pioneers by showing practices in different countries and can be used for reviews and in-depth analyses. Missing publications such as from China, Russia, Japan, Republic of Korea, and Spanish/Portuguese speaking countries, can be added in the future, and translated. Search functions can be developed. International collaboration for the promotion of occupational health coverage for all workers must be intensified.

James Joyce and Ethno-sexual Boundary Crossings

  • In the history of colonization, how and to what extent the colonizer interacted with the local population differed according to race relations in specific periods. Generally speaking, social or sexual contact between two communities was tolerated when race relations were relatively relaxed. When the racial relationship became aggravated, however, such contact between the colonizer and the colonized was discouraged in order to forge and maintain ethnic solidarity. In Ireland, the colonizer's interaction with the colonized was not different from that of colonized countries in the Third World. Unlike those colonies, however, the settlers, that is, Protestants, simply could not be treated as the colonizer because they had lived in Ireland long enough to assert their Irishness. Joyce is keenly interested in intergender ethnic boundary crossings. In his works, two kinds of ethno-sexual interactions are presented from two totally different perspectives. As shown in the cases of the young lady in the street stall, Polly, Milkwoman, Sheila, and Cissy, Joyce describes the interaction of Irish women with Englishmen from a skeptical viewpoint. All of those cases demonstrate typical relationships epitomizing power relations in a colonial society. They reflect the turbulent time at the beginning of the century when Ireland had to fight with England to gain its independence. At such a transitional time, the ethnic relationship became aggravated and boundary crossings were discouraged. On the other hand, through the relationship between Stephen and Eileen, Girty and Reggy Wylie, Browne and Irish ladies, and Mr. & Mrs. Kernan, Joyce presents the interaction between Protestants and Catholics in terms of romantic or human relationships rather than power relations. From his description of those interactions, we can assume that Joyce, in the time of nation building, provided a blueprint for the future Irish nation, where Protestants and Catholics could build a nation and live harmoniously.

영어 교실의 문학 텍스트 -영어교육의 통합적 접근 (Literary Texts in the English Classroom: An Integrated Approach to English Instruction)

  • Literature had been at center-stage in the traditional grammar-translation-focused English classrooms up to the mid-twentieth century. As the Audiolingual Method and the Communicative Language Teaching have gained popularity in the English classrooms, however, literature has receded into the background of English education. The main reasons for using literary texts in the English classrooms for communication-focused English instruction need to be examined. First of all, students can come in touch with the subtle and varied uses of language through literature-based teaching. They also feel close to certain characters in the literary work and share the emotional reponses with them. They get personally involved in the plot of the story. Universal human experience and cultural enrichment are two other merits which can be conferred on students by literary texts. Such linguistic and literary experiences can be significantly integrated into the literature-based instruction. More significantly, the four language skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) can be combined with one another and integrated into a literature-focused curriculum for English education. The value of literary texts in the English classrooms can be clearly demonstrated by effective ways of using such texts as Charlotte's Web for integrated instruction. The full array of benefits that literature can bring to English instruction, however, has yet to be fully realized. These potentials need to be materialized into classroom practice.

Henry James's The Turn of the Screw: The Subject and the Ontological Status of the Real Gaze

  • In The Turn of the Screw, the go'erness encounters with the apparitions that harrow her throughout the story: she sees a frightening male ghost that Mrs. Grose identifies as Peter Quint, deceased former 'alet of the children's uncle, who had pre'iously shared the charge of the children with the pre'ious go'erness, Miss Jessel. The appearance of the ghosts hails the go'erness and thereby forces her to be jarred out of the comfortable habits of indi'iduality and plunged into a negati'ity de'oid of the socio-normati'e directi'es and guarantees. Such an encounter shows the idea that consciousness is a plenum of existence e'ocati'e of human mind as a decentered pandemonium. For the go'erness in The Turn of the Screw, the foundation to force her to experience the uncanny, as an inconsistency in the symbolic order, is particular. Its particularity is absolute in the same way e'ery one of us dreams his or her world. It resists mediation and cannot be made part of a symbolic medium. Just as Lacan's conceptions of desire, feminine sexuality, 'Object a,' not-whole, sla'ery, mastery, self-deception, authenticity, and act of psychoanalysis help us understand our contradictory social reality, so does The Turn of the Screw help us make sense of the way the go'erness, as the being who is capable of raising the question of being, questions the idea of being. In conclusion, the particular way the go'erness dreams her world is e'ocati'e of an excessi'e being, an anatomical complement, and a particular experience, such as the go'erness's encounter with the ghosts testifies to a knowledge that escapes the knowledge of the speaking being.

학업스트레스와 문화진입스트레스가 한국인 해외유학생의 심리적 적응에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of academic stress and acculturative stress of Republic of Korean studying abroad on psychological adjustment)

  • 본 연구에서는 재외 한국인 유학생들이 경험하는 학업스트레스와 문화진입스트레스가 심리적 적응에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 영어권 국가의 대학과 대학원에 재학 중인 대한민국 남녀 유학생 152명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 상관분석 결과, 학업스트레스와 문화진입스트레스는 주관적 안녕감, 삶의 만족과는 부적상관을 가지고 우울, 불안과는 정적상관을 가짐을 확인하였다. 위계적 회귀분석 결과, 인구통계학적 변인은 심리적 안녕감과 삶의 만족, 우울에는 유의미한 설명력을 가졌으나, 불안에는 유의미한 설명력을 가지지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 인구통계학적 변인의 효과를 통제한 상태에서 학업스트레스와 문화진입 스트레스는 심리적 안녕감, 삶의 만족, 우울, 불안에 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점, 의의, 후속연구의 방향에 대해 논의하였다.

Trends and Issues in the Research of Chinese Educational Technology

  • The purpose of this study lies in touching the study trend of Chinese education technology through the analysis on present situation of the study in Chinese education technology, and is to suggest the direction for the its further study and development. In order to achieve these kinds of study purpose, the frames have been set to grasp the features and trend of Chinese educational technology in such as 4 aspects of educational technology definition, curriculum and the cultivation of genuine individuals, study zone aspect and the method, and in order to grasp, in the comparison with the countries of advanced educational technology such as Korea, America etc., the progressive features and the trend of development of Chinese educational technology have been analyzed. As a result of the analysis, it has been found that Chinese educational technology has the different features in the study and development of educational technology of Korea and America in the abovementioned 4aspects. First, in the education technology comprehension, it differs from Korea, Japan and America, and understands the technology as a skill. Consequently, in either study or actuality, it seems puts more emphasis on skills (moreover, the aspect of hardware). Second, in the aspect of curriculum and the cultivation of the genuine individuals, gives preponderance to science aspect, and the unclear distinction between the education technology and the computer science makes that the true character of educational technology is not clear. Third, when speaking of study fields and study methods, those of china is a little behind of the advanced nations of the educational engineering, Korea, America and so on. And in the range of study, China is following the international tendency but when it comes to the depth of study and quality is very far from perfect. In the aspect of study method, the theoretical study, design study and development study are occupying mostly, and it is hardly to see the existence about actual proof study, and in this aspect, it is quite different than that of Korea and America. And it is judged that it is related with the traditional educational ideology and the academic study tradition, the cultural air and the features of economical development of China.

상급종합병원 전문간호사의 리더십 경험: 포커스 그룹 면담 (The Leadership Experience of Advanced Practice Nurses in a Tertiary Hospital Setting: Focus Group Interview )

  • Purpose : This study aimed to identify and describe the leadership experience of advanced practice nurses (APN). Methods : Data were collected through five focus group interviews in 2022 with a total of 24 APNs in groups of 4-6 participants. All interviews were recorded, transcribed, and data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Results : Nine categories emerged from three main themes. First, "Roles of APN leadership" comprised a trusted clinical expert, a moderator for the entire team, a resource person for nurturing the next generation, and a change agent for improving clinical practice. Second, "Facilitators and barriers to APN leadership" included ambiguity of APN role, support system, and institutional backing. Third, "Strategies for strengthening APN leadership competencies" comprised systematic leadership education and speaking up for APNs. Conclusion : APNs are passionate about their expertise and practice, but lack the legal and organizational authority and support to provide successive leadership. Systematic education including leadership and organizational advocacy will enable APN to provide leadership that benefits patients, institutions, and the wider healthcare system.

철자 기반과 음절 기반 속도가 한국인 영어 학습자의 발음 평가에 미치는 영향 비교 (Comparing the effects of letter-based and syllable-based speaking rates on the pronunciation assessment of Korean speakers of English)

  • 본 연구에서는 AI Hub에 구축된 '교육용 한국인의 영어 음성 데이터'에 있는 발음 평가 데이터를 활용하여 철자 기반 발화 속도 및 조음 속도와 음절 기반 발화 속도 및 조음 속도 중 발음 정확성 및 운율 유창성, 합산 점수를 예측하는 모델에 어떤 요소가 더 유의미한 영향을 미치는지 분석하였다. 이를 위해 13세, 19세, 26세 연령별, 성별, 수준별로 이 코퍼스의 훈련 데이터에서 총 900개 발화를 추출하여 데이터에 포함된 다양한 요소를 활용해 평가 점수를 예측하는 선형효과분석을 실행하였다. 선형효과분석에서 최적의 세 개 모델을 통해 예측된 평가 점수를 검증 데이터에서 추출한 총 180개 발화의 평가 점수와 얼마나 상관관계가 있는지도 분석하였다. 분석 결과 발음의 정확성과 운율의 유창성, 합산 점수 예측 모델 모두 철자 기반 발화 속도와 조음 속도보다 음절 기반 발화 속도와 조음 속도가 평가 점수를 예측하는데 더 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 모델에서 예측한 점수와 검정 데이터의 실제 점수와의 상관계수는 .65에서 .68 사이로 각 모델의 평가 점수 예측력이 나쁘지 않았다. 발화 속도와 조음 속도 간에 어떤 요소가 더 큰 영향을 미치는지는 본 연구를 통해 밝혀내지 못하였다.
