  • The purpose of this study was to spatial organization feature and area composition of the over 500beds general hospital that will be expected construct in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do area after 2000year. From this study, we can suggest architectural planning for the efficiency operating of emergency medical facilities that can be used as preliminary data. The Spatial organization of emergency medical facilities are categorize into 4 session as medical examination and treatment, diagonosticradiology, staff, public and the others. We can find spatial organization system and area composition that compare area composition of 6 hospital the subject of research in a emergency medical facilities. The result of this study were as follows : spatial distribution of its field, grasping of spatial organization factor and recognize its merits and demerits should be researched in advance. Through this kind of recognizing emergency system, realistic medical local and condition architectural planning for spatial organization will be operate.

  • This research is a study on the spatial organization of Korean houses designed by architects. It is focused on the characteristics and transformation of spatial organization of house designed since 1970. The variety and regularity of organization existed at the back of spatial structure of Korean houses were analyzed through typological and topographical theory. The general subject of this study is to find out the characteristics and tendency of transformation of spatial organization of houses designed by Korean architects. As a result of this study it was clarified that the spatial organization of architect's house turned its derection from the concept of 'unification and connection' to that of 'separation and segregation' It also was found that the degree of depth of room has been increased and the degree of concentration to a certain room has been decreased through the passing of time. It is because of the trend of spatial separation of rooms appeared in the architect's houses.

  • This study plans to classify the art museums in accordance with their spatial organization, analyzing their peculiarities each by its type in order to present the reference required for designing an art museums. With confidence, the analyzation as well as the results of the study contents will make worthy contribution for the future art museums. For this purpose, total of 95 art museums have been selected as the objects of analyzation. First of all, their types have been categorized in accordance with the standard of scale and architectural planning. Out of them, 33 museums have been further selected in order to see how the peculiarities of their patterns are outstanding, and then a quantitative analyzation has been made on each of them to see its space structure by utilizing 'Space Syntax'. Finally, a correlation analyzation of space structure peculiarities has been conducted and the spatial organization peculiarities per type is comprehensively arranged in accordance with the architectural planning and Space Syntax in order to present a new spatial organization per space to be used for the basic planning of the art museum. The contents of this analytical study are summarized as follows: A correlation analyzation on the typological features in terms of architectural planning and on the spatial organization features in terms of the Space Syntax has presented four new types of museum spaces: (1) Radial type, (2) Arachnoid-radial type, (3) Linear type, and (4) Grid type, in the light of which the selected 95 art museums have further been analyzed in order for their features to be reclassified.

  • The final purpose of this study is to develop the synthetic and logical analytical tool for analyzing spatial organization of housing. For this purpose, this study made the starting-point by proposing some alternatives to improve one of the quantitative analytical tools of spatial organizations, Space Syntax. These propositions were intended to consider human behavior as well as physical structure in analyzing spatial organization. The propositions were as follow; 1) Classify the private outdoor space in detail, 2) Consider that the spatial organization which visitors cognize can differ from which residents do, and 3) Use distinctive spatial depth according to the states of connection.

  • This study aims to discussion the characteristics of location and spatial organization of the Byeong San confucian academy. To do this, we studied in two ways; analysis of the present conditions and photographing, research materials about the form of physical structure and review of historical documents. The result of analysis in the sight of the location and spatial structure was good matched. The spatial organization of the Byeong San confucian academy was divided into lecturing space and sacrificial space. In the Mandaeru on Byeong San confucian academy was imported borrowed scenery of surrounding landscape and while placed arranging various constituent elements of the small-scale pond and visual perception in trying to formalize the landscape. The result of this study, analysis of axis and terrace shows backgrounds of these locations shows that the political and social, economical phenomena were influenced to the locations and spatial organization of the Byeong San Confucian Academy.

The result of analysis in the sight of the location and spatial organization was good matched. The spatial organization of the Donam SeoWon(confucian academy) was divided into entry space, lecturing space, management space and sacrificial space. Jonhakhumyo constructs axis of “Sanangru - Ipdeokmun - Yangseongdang - Naesammun - Sungryesa” and Eungdodang that not removed hall with 1880 shows characteristics a right angle in the left side of axis remove to location of present 1971. • This study is about the spatial organization of Korean houses designed by architects. It is focused on the characteristics and transformation of spatial organization of houses designed since 1970. The variety and regularity of organization existed at the spatial structure of Korean houses are analysed through typological theory. In this study, the connecting methods between rooms appeared in the plans of 190 detached houses are analysed and classified chronologically. The connecting methods of space between L-D-K, between living room and master bedroom are analysed. And the methods of spatial division inside of master bedroom are also analysed. As a result of the analyses, it is clear that the spatial organization of architects' houses turns its direction from the concept of 'unifying and clustering' to that of 'dividing and segregating' . In contrast to the 70s, there shows a strong diversity in the connecting methods after the 80s with adaptation of the 'language of linear plan' using many forms of intermediary elements between spaces. This result would be relative to the changing trend of design philosophy and the changing tendency in the relationship between the inside and outside space of house.

  • In this paper the key drivers change for cadastral organizations have been presented according to the following aspects; Geo-ICT development including positioning technology, government's public organization innovation policy, cadastral market opening pressure and decreasing of cadastral survey work. It was confirmed that the role of cadastral organization has to be changed from the conducting cadastral survey organization to the spatial information provision organization. Eventually it should take a role to realize Spatially Enabled Society(SES) which is fundamental for national development and upgrading quality of life in the society. From the case study of international cadastral organization, cadastral organization should take core responsibility for the Nation Spatial Data Infrastructure(NSDI) and meeting the future costumers requirements through technical developments and organization's innovation efforts.

  • This study discusses "mechanisms" in a research facility, specifically focusing on the question of how we can understand what happens in the physical environment and the communication between researchers. This study attempts to address this question by examining two physical settings, before and after the move of one research-educational facility, the Institute of Paper Science and Technology. The objective of the study is to suggest conceptual models to comprehend the relationships between spatial layouts and communication. The study examines the underlying mechanism of how the levels of communication meet the layers of spatial structure. The paper has four parts. First, the preceding studies will be reviewed evoking some issues of communication and physical setting in research facilities. Second a conceptual typology in office plan will be developed providing a theoretical framework to review the spatial organization of the subject research facility, the Institute of Paper Science and Technology (IPST). Third, the spatial organization of the former building (before the move) and the present building (after the move) of IPST will be analyzed. Finally, conceptual models of the mechanism between the communication and the spatial organization will be drawn up.

  • We propose a semantics filter aimed at filtering unnecessary data for a user. In the Geographic Information Systems (GIS), transfer of spatial data for each user is one of the important problems. We design a system that filters spatial data by using user's information adaptively. Our system derives the degree of geographical knowledge and the priority of buildings by using fuzzy reasoning. Furthermore, this system computes the priority of roads by deriving the contiguity relation between a building and a road. This paper describes a method for filtering of spatial data.
