  • The purpose of this study was to identify kitchen space needs in regard to the architectural elements and facilities of rural houses. Three rural villages, Kum-Sung Ri, Young-San 1 Ri, and Yu-Bang 2.5 Ri were selected for this study. The present and past condition of the kitchen space was investigated by the field survey method. The major findings were that: 1) The interior floor materials of the kitchen had been changed from mostly mudplastered floor to linoleum, and the former low level of the kitchen floor had been lifted to the same level of the house plane. This change was made possible by the separation of the cooking from the heating system. 2) Western style kitchen, work centers and kitchen cabinets had been installed in the most of the rural houses. 3) On the basis of this study, the rural Korean kitchen space was classified into six types.

  • Within a short period of time of evangelical activities in Korea, the Korean Christianity has been explosively grown since 1884. Now Korea became one of the top countries exporting many missionaries to other countries. We call the 1970s and after as the time of diversity in Korean churches and those buildings. In this period, Korean churches have grown larger and bigger, so called mega-churches. Including Yoido Full Gospel Church, Seoul with 10,000 seats, there are 22 mega-churches in Korea out of the world top 50 mega-churches. Having the necessity of knowing the composition of worship space of mega- or super-mega-churches, we analyzed and classified the information of mega-churches which were built after 1970s. We collected resources through blueprints, visitations of buildings, and interviews by phone, For this study and research, we selected total 66 churches. Based upon the existing theories, we categorized the plane of worship space, its axis, the arrangement of attendant seats, the location of the choir, and the pattern of a cross section of buildings. We also brought the conclusion of specific characteristics given through the analysis according to the time period, the style, and the denomination of megachurches.

  • The objective of this research is to address the issue of frozen orbits in charged satellites by incorporating geopotential zonal harmonics up to J6 and the initial tesseral harmonics. The employed model starts from the first normalized Hamiltonian to calculate specific sets of long-term frozen orbits for charged satellites. To explore the frozen orbits acquired, a MATHEMATICA CODE is developed. The investigation encompasses extensive variations in orbit altitudes by employing the orbital inclination and argument of periapsis as freezing parameters. The determined ranges ensuring frozen orbits are derived from the generated figures. Three-dimensional presentations illustrating the freezing inclination in relation to eccentricity, argument of periapsis, and semi-major axis parameters are presented. Additional three-dimensional representations of the phase space for the eccentricity vector and its projection onto the nonsingular plane are examined. In all investigated scenarios, the impacts of electromagnetic (EM) field perturbations on the freezing parameters of a charged satellite are demonstrated.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a creative perspective technique in fashion illustration through analyzing perspective in visual art experienced a great variety. This study was analyzed by examining the general theories based on the discovery of perspective and investigating the modern perspective in fashion illustration related to the method of spatial expression in visual art. A complex perspective of existing perspective gives the effect of reapperance of actual space and three-dimentional form in a plane. Because of being used as not only one perspective technique but also some perspectives technique, its expression can be more realistic. An amplified perspective gives the effect of visual illusion just like being suck in space inside and come out from screen outside by distorting the human body. A confused perspective of space gives the visual illusional effect of collapsing actual space and misunderstanding three-dimensional form by distorting the form of the space and changing the nature as an object of fashion. A reiterated or duplicated perspective gives effect of interpreting invisible space as imaginary space by overlapping and eliminating the object of fashion. An irrational perspective of spatial illusion gives the effect of disorganization experienced thinking by strange shapes and new recognition of irrational space by extraordinary visual connection. It has a tendency to surrealism. In conclusion, the modern perspective in fashion illustration has made the best use of not only new perspective since 1980, but general perspective before 1980. By the modern perspective expression. the viewer has made a chance to experience imaginary spaces indirectly, and the author has been able to express emotions by his or her new attempt in the screen.

  • We present a multi-dimensional reduction method of the surveyed cube database obtained using a single- dish radio telescope in Taeduk Radio Astronomy Observatory (TRAO). The multibeam receiver system installed at the 14 m telescope in TRAO was not optimized at the initial stage, though it became more stabilized in the following season. We conducted a Galactic Plane survey using the multibeam receiver system. We show that the noise level of the first part of the survey was higher than expected, and a special reduction process seemed to be definitely required. Along with a brief review of classical methods, a multi-dimensional method of reduction is introduced; It is found that the 'background' task within IRAF (Image Reduction and Analysis Facility) can be applied to all three directions of the cube database. Various statistics of reduction results is tested using several IRAF tasks. The rms value of raw survey data is 0.241 K, and after primitive baseline subtraction and elimination of bad channel sections, the rms value turned out to be 0.210 K. After the one-dimensional reduction using 'background' task, the rms value is estimated to be 0.176 K. The average rms of the final reduced image is 0.137 K. Thus, the image quality is found to be improved about 43% using the new reduction method.

  • Variations in the brightness of asteroids are caused by their spins, irregular shapes and companions. Thus, in principle, the spin state and shape model of a single object or, a combined model of spins, shapes and mutual orbit of a multiple components can be constructed from the analysis of light curves obtained from the time-series photometry. Using ground- and space-based facilities, a number of time-series photometric observations of asteroids have been conducted to find the possible causes of their light variations. Nonetheless, only about 2% of the known asteroids have been confirmed for their rotation periods. Therefore, a follow-on systematic photometric survey of asteroids is essential. We started an asteroid light curve survey for this purpose using Korea Microlensing Telescope Network (KMTNet) during 199 nights between the second half of 2019 and the first half of 2020. We monitored within a 2° × 14° region of the sky per each night with 25 min cadences. In order to observe as many asteroids as possible with a single exposure, we mostly focus on the ecliptic plane. In our survey, 25,925 asteroids were observed and about 8,000 of them were confirmed for their rotation periods. In addition, using KMTNet's 24-hour continuous monitoring, we collected many composite light curves of slow rotating asteroids that were rarely obtained with previous observations. In this presentation, we will introduce the typical light curves of asteroids obtained from our survey and present a statistical analysis of spin states and shapes of the asteroids from this study.

  • We reformulate an interpolation-based unique decoding algorithm of AG codes, using the theory of Gr$\ddot{o}$bner bases of modules on the coordinate ring of the base curve. The conceptual description of the reformulated algorithm lets us better understand the majority voting procedure, which is central in the interpolation-based unique decoding. Moreover the smaller Gr$\ddot{o}$bner bases imply smaller space and time complexity of the algorithm.

  • We introduce Lipschitz algebras of differentiable functions of a perfect compact plane set X and extend the definition to Lipschitz algebras of infinitely differentiable functions of X. Then we define the subalgebras generated by polynomials, rational functions, and analytic functions in some neighbourhood of X, and determine the maximal ideal spaces of some of these algebras. We investigate the polynomial and rational approximation problems on certain compact sets X.

  • In this paper, we study on a classification of hypersurfaces given by tansnormal functions on $R^{n+1}_1$. If M is a level set of a transnormal function on $R^{n+1}_1$, then it is one of a hyperplane, a cylinder around k-plane, a pseudo-sphere and a pseudo-hyperbolic space.
