  • Brand is a useful tool for modem people living under the age of the brand, to explain the information of their products by differentiating themselves from others. It also represents the value of company and plays a major role convincing customers. Even living space brands are no exception. According to the development of marketing management ability, living space brands require the new sales strategy to dominate the market over the business competition, and plan differently for a changing market environment. On such account, companies are commercializing the living space via establishing its brands. Thus the study will cover the living space differentiation strategies for promoting the brand images of respective construction companies and will strive to compare and analyze the differentiation strategy factors that construction firms are pursuing through case analysis framework. Moreover, it's objective focuses on materializing the strategies of living space in accordance to the brand application elements.

  • Community facilities in apartment complex was developed through combination with residents' needs about housing environmental amenity, marketing competition among construction companies and social trend 'Well-being' . But community facilities and fitness center which are situated in the beginning are alienated by residents because the designers plan community facilities without considering about residents' life-style and preference. In this paper, the study includes present status of fitness center and residents' preference for proper fitness center design. The result presents that fitness center users in apartment complex want a resting space which is already located in fitness center of mixed-use residential building. A resting space provides conditions that users can make up with the community each other as well as they can rest after exercise. And the fitness center users prefer wood as interior finish material of floor and wall in exercising space and resting space because they have a feeling comfortable and splendid.

Analysis of Interior Design Elements in Food and Beverage Applying the Psychological Process of Purchasing(AIDMA) Model (구매심리과정(AIDMA)모델을 적용한 식음공간의 실내디자인요소 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide fundamental data that can improve added value of commercial space strategically using the identification of relationship between the process of consumers' purchasing psychology (AIDMA : Attention, Interest, Desire, Memory, Action) and elements of interior design. For this purpose, case study and survey were carried out on food and beverage spaces, where they were doing business for more than two years, were selected from the ones appeared in the interior journal "A." Based on the study, basic details including a ground plan, design summary and representative image were identified through preliminary research, and a researcher visited the target spaces and carried out a research and analysis on interior design elements. Three spaces among targets of the case study were selected to identify the relation between design elements and AIDMA items which consumers feel, and the survey was conducted on the customers of the selected food and beverage spaces. Results of the case study on the 18 food and beverage spaces showed that features of the each of AIDMA items in material and color elements were most well expressed. As a result of survey conducted on visitors of each food and beverage space, features of each item were expressed in overall design elements. In particular, space elements and color elements in "Space 1," space elements and lighting elements in "Space 2" and space elements, furniture & objet elements in "Space 3" were most well expressed in each space. There were slight differences depending on individual characteristics such as design concept, location and business operation of target food and beverage spaces but attributes of AIDMA items were remarkably recognized in common in the space elements.

  • Retail space itself could be one of the marketing strategies, through creating space, and communicating brand identity. Especially for innovative products, such as mobile technology products, store is not just to sell products but to provide experiences so that users can fudge usefulness of products and reduce uncertainties to adopt the products. The purpose of this study is to investigate how environmental features and physical artifacts contribute to promote experiences of innovative products in stores and how physical environment help to establish brand identity. For this study, site visits, observation, and literature review were conducted. For case studies, three retail spaces (Apple, Iriver, Sony) and one service space(TTL) were selected. Compared to the service space, three retail spaces have more transparent and open store front design characteristics. For the experiences of shoppers, products displayed in a radial shape, round shape, column shape, and around peripherals of the stores. A service oriented space, TTL zone is differentiated from three retail spaces in terms of layout, store front design, and experience areas. Compared to the traditional stores selling innovative products, the case stores showed more warm atmosphere using various shape, wood materials, lighting fixtures and furniture.

  • This study places a great emphasis on the approaches to the space environment we inhabit, which I hope will contribute to generating a number of creative possibilities. Looking into 'site-specificity' which is characteristic by public art in public space method based on Daniel Buren's works 'in situ', this study analyze the relationship between the public space and works of art as a perspective of public art. The characteristics of his 'in situ' works that intervened works exist as space consisting of serial factors not simply art-object, and they suggest 'site Is a work'. The case study of Daniel Buren's public art project represented the results, the site marketing and serves as a guideline for the future of true Art/Space experiments. This study verifies the need for the arts and the space to work together in order to develop more creative and conceptual approaches to innovation and presentation. This cooperation is the continuation of space design by other means.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze about the extension of user experience in the digital space. Through the digital technology and virtual space, the city's new environment is being changed. it makes people activate their aesthetic experience. Simultaneously, it elevates satisfaction levels regarding people's aesthetic experience. Research methods and settings of the range to study on the Extension of User Experience are as follows: First, establish digital space's characteristics comparing digital space at the structural change-points in modern society. Second, experience's approch way through the digital media in the contemporary space. And understand the concept about a variety of User Experience. Third. to classify the elements of access control for the user experience. Experience is being expanded through the generation process. Fourth, investigate analysis of the case studies, focused on the architecture and space design_Media installations that appear in the city park, the city's landmark buildings facade, the building facade by offering commercially applied for brand marketing_ announced through the media recently. Also, it is to look at the physical elements through digital media and to analyze the applicability of the public space. Therefore, the new approach to digital implementation shall be determined by looking in the direction of the user approaches.

  • Recently, as emotional elements have been applied to many fields including marketing, architecture, and design, new understanding on and interest in sensibility are emerging. The sensibility, as opposite meaning to the reason, has been excluded from academic object, and researches in sensibility have been diversified for the meaning, scope, application methods and even application target of sensibility without consistency. This study aims to redefine meaning of sensibility by examining documents related to sensibility, and to examine the features of sensibility in design, especially in space design. Consequently, sensibility was defined to function as a filter which deals with numerous stimulative informations intuitively and uniformly while human gives significance to a stimulus. According to the examination on apparent features of sensibility and studies of sensibility engineering, the sensibility occurs not only by visual and physical stimulus but also by meaningful stimulus, and both are known to have mutual influence on each other. In space design, spaces of many purposes can be categorized into the spaces of routine and out of routine following the empirical time, and physical stimulus and interesting factor pursued by these spaces are inversely proportional. This study is meaningful insofar as it enabled to explain interaction between physical stimulus, meaning, and other factors within sensibility as a comprehensive concept by redefining its concept.

  • Purpose: The importance of creativity has been emphasized in the transition from industrial society to knowledge-based society. Recently, design thinking has attracted great attention as one of the ways to increase the creativity of the organization. From the perspective of solving urban problems through collaboration between technology and citizens, the active participation of citizens is indispensable for realizing smart cities. Research design, data and methodology: From the perspective of solving urban problems through collaboration between technology and citizens, the active participation of citizens is indispensable for realizing smart cities. Results: Therefore, the purpose of this research was to design a citizen-participation type system and contents using a specific space to realize a smart city. This system utilizes the concept of space as a tool to promote innovation activities with the participation of citizens and makes it easy for users of space to participate based on urban problems derived from living labs and the internal structure and user flow line have been designed. Conclusions: It was been also used voice recognition, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and big data as important technologies for experiencing smart cities. The system and content were designed with an emphasis on allowing citizens to directly recognize and experience smart city technology, especially through space-based information visualization and multi-faceted stimulus elements.

  • 'The Third space,' which is the concept that embraces sociological, spatial, and marketing concepts, refers to the place which is other than the home and the workplace and which is a comfortable frequented place where meditation, psychological relaxation, and social needs can be satisfied. 'The Third space' has the characteristics of comfort, openness, interactivity, playfulness, and diversity. In modern times, most of consumption spaces play the role of 'the Third space,' and the typical example is $Caf{\acute{e}}$. $Caf{\acute{e}}$ began from its origin with the characteristics of 'the Third space,' and recently it has become the complex cultural space of urban dwellers. $Caf{\acute{e}}$ as 'the Third space' has the characteristics of a healing space, communication space, personalized space, value-expressive space, culture and consumption space, nomad space. Such characteristics of $Caf{\acute{e}}$ are well represented in the cafes around the regions where 'street culture' has recently been formed. As examined through the examples, $Caf{\acute{e}}$ as 'the Third space' can be more strategically produced by establishing themes through storytelling, giving spatial identity through style creation, diversifying the sequence through complex space organization, and establishing interaction devices through experience elements.

  • New paradigm of modern society today - environmentally sound and sustainable development - led to the attempt on the introduction of natural elements in various spaces by people's interest in the quality of life. As one of the distinguished space marketing in designing the outer space of resort, this plan attempts to limit artificial boundary within open scenery, thus creating nature within nature - interior theme garden. In addition, this plan is aimed to obtain location property of inner garden through limited boundary, to promote the identity of resort by endowing it with new values in space and to form emotion care garden and culture garden for users. The plan has proceeded under the following concepts. 1) Differentiation from outer space has been made by creating a theme garden with unique theme garden - landscape elements and an attempt have been made to increase the values of interior garden through the introduction of new species of plants and the state-of-the-art facilities. 2) Emotion care garden - The garden has been created to get emotion purified systematically within nature and let people take a rest and enjoy their spare time. 3) Culture garden - The garden has been planned where culture could be created through various experience activities as a space with education and entertainment by providing a variety of interesting elements.
