The purposes of this research are to identify the source and to analyze the pathway of nitrate contamination in "cultural village", Jeungpyeong. In order to examine recharge processes and flow pattern that closely related to the influent of nitrate contaminant, the flow field was simulated and the oxygen and hydrogen stable isotopes were analyzed. The nitrogen isotope was used to delineate contaminant sources. The shallow groundwater was mainly composed of precipitation, but leakage of domestic water and sewage contributed to the recharge. Nitrate contaminants were possibly from the leakage of sewage and animal waste. The nitrate concentration decreased due to dilution by low concentration water.ion water.

We consider a rental company that dynamically manages Its capacity level through capacity addition and return While serving customer with its own capacity, the company expands its capacity by renting items from an outside source so that it can avoid lost opportunities of rental which occur when stock is not sufficient. If stock becomes sufficiently large enough to cope with demands, the company returns expanded capacity to the outside source. Formulating the model into a Markov decision problem, we identify an optimal capacity management Policy which states when the company should expand its capacity and when it should return expanded capacity after capacity addition. Since it is intractable to analytically find the optimal capacity management policy and the optimal size of capacity expansion, we present a numerical procedure that finds these optimal values based on the value iteration method. Numerical analysis is implemented and we observe monotonic properties of the optimal performance measures by system parameters, which are meaningful in developing effective heuristic policies.

This study investigated the key role of sketches in creative fashion design by observing the cognitive process of idea development through a professional's design problem solving using the medium of hand sketching. The three-part semi-constrained design experiment with a professional designer, in which the participant designer was provided a source of inspiration image and asked to design a small collection of outfits, identified a fashion designer's idea development process as involving two phases of sketch processes: lateral and vertical transformation. Analysis of the video/audio recording and corresponding interviews validated lateral transformation in the designer's use of sketches to represent interpretation of the provided inspiration source. Through sketching, the designer transferred fuzzy ideas onto paper. Vertical transformation was observed through the designer's modification of previous ideas after reflecting on earlier sketches, with various ideas divided, manipulated, discarded, regrouped, and combined through sketching activities. The designer's sketching process is valuable design knowledge that facilitates the idea development process and ultimately triggers generation of creative ideas. Understanding it may benefit practitioners and educators.

We fabricated OTFT-OLED display panel by using Ag-paste for source and drains electrode of OTFTs. The OTFTs were fabricated by solution processes such as spin-coating for PVP gate dielectric and screen printing for S/D electrodes with Ag-paste, except pentacene active layer which was deposited by evaporation. The mobility was 0.024 cm2/V.sec , off state current ${\sim}10-11A$, threshold voltage 7.6 V and on/off current ratio ${\sim}105$. The panel consisted of 16 x 16 pixels and each pixel consisted of 2 OTFTs, 1 Capacitor and 1 OLED. The pixels successfully worked in terms of current magnitude supplied to OLED and the control ability of driving and switching OTFTs.

This paper describes a fuzzy PI control method to control the output voltage of three-phase Z-source PWM rectifier. The proposed fuzzy PI controller is a single input fuzzy with its fuzzification, inferences and de-fuzzification processes. The proposed method adjusts the Kp and Ki in real time in order to find the most suitable Kp and Ki for PI controller and to simplify the controller design. The PI portion of DC voltage controller is controlled by fuzzy method. The simulation is performed with PSIM and MATLAB/SIMULINK and is verified the validity of the proposed approach.

We discuss two possible optical noise sources in an electro-optic camera loaded on a low earth orbit satellite. The first noise source was a reflection at the window for signal rays incident upon the window which is placed before the FPA plane. The second noise source came from a reflection at the surface of the FPA cell when the signal flux is not entirely absorbed. We investigate the noise generation processes for two optical noise sources, and a parametric solution is used to estimate the optical noise effects.

Unit processes for the fabrication of HEMT(high electron mobility transistor)was studied and the optimum conditions of them were applied to the fabrifcation of a discrete HEMT device. The HEMT with a nominal gate-source spacing of 3.6\ulcorner and a gate length of 2.8\ulcorner showed a transconductance of 46.1mS/mm and a threshold voltage of -0.29V. A source-drain voltage of 2.0V for a saturation current of 35mA/mm was achieved.

It was well recognized that the damages associated mainly with the aging of civil infrastructures were one of very serious problems for assurance of safety and reliability. Recently carbon fiber sheet(CFS) has been widely used for reinforcement and rehabilitation of damaged concrete beam. However, the fundamental mechanism of load transfer and its load-resistant for carbon fiber sheet reinforced concrete are not fully understood. In this study, three point bending test has been carried out to understand the damage progress and the micro-failure mechanism of CFS reinforced mortars. For this purpose, four different types of specimens are used, that is, mortar, steel bar reinforced mortar, CFS reinforced mortar, and steel bar and CFS reinforced morter. Acoustic Emission(AE) technique was used to evaluate the characteristics of damage progress and the failure mechanism of specimens. in addition, two-dimensional AE source location was also performed to monitor crack initiation and propagation processes for these specimens.

This paper proposes a new harmonic elimination PWM (HEPWM) scheme for voltage source inverters (VSI) based on the curve fittings of certain polynomials functions. The resulting equations to calculate the switching angle of the HEPWM require only the addition and multiplication processes; therefore any number of harmonics to be eliminated and the fundamental amplitude of the pole switching waveform (NP1) can be controlled on-line. An extensive angle error analysis is carried out to determine the accuracy of the algorithm in comparison to the exact solution. To verify the workability of the technique, an experimental single phase VSI is constructed. The algorithm is implemented on a VSI using a 16-bit microprocessor. The results obtained from the test rig are compared to the theoretical prediction and the results of the MATLAB simulations.

This paper focused on problems of design, construction, and maintenance caused by construction implementation processes. They were analyzed through case study of structure safety diagnosis projects. From the case study, it is expected that the introduction of Construction Management from the first stage of procurement will improve construction cost increase or burden on small design company. It strengthens coherent management from design and source contractor selection to build review of responsibility. The coherency will prevent changes in designing or infirm unreliable construction. It is desirable that expert opinions are considered when structure changes and establishment occur and that, if necessary, actions such as source selection, periodic audits, and diagnosis arc checked and fed back to maintenance.
