Lipomatosis is a condition containing multiple lipomatous masses.Lipoma is a benign neoplasm composed of adult adipose tissue, and occur most often in the fifth or sixth decade and rarely in the pleura. Pleural lipomas are usually asymptomatic and revealed as an incidental roentgenographic findings. The patient was 59 year-old male and admitted because of dyspnea-on-exertion for 30 years. Chest CT revealed right pleural mass abutting on the chest wall, measuring minus 80 hounsfield units. The mass was resected with calcified pleural plaque and confirmed to be lipomatosis with collagenous fibrosis arising from viserai pleura.

This is an interview with Professor Kwang-Hyung Lee, founding Dean of KAIST Moon Soul Graduates School of Future Strategy and founder of the Department of Bio and Brain Engineering of the same university casting two questions about academics. The first question is what pattern is desirable in the evolution of research topics of an academics. While traditional researchers in science and engineering tend to focus on one subject in ever greater depth over time, Professor Lee's research agenda has spanned several new topics by gradually changing the content of the study: from artificial intelligence to bio and brain research, and to creativity development method, further to future study. The second question is about researchers' social responsibility. He has devoted to contributes to industry fields and the nation through academic activities as well as educating several successful business people, founding a new academic department and graduate school of future studies.

In this paper, we present a new approach for automatic detection and tracking for multiple targets. We combine a highest probability data association(HPDA) algorithm for target detection with a particle filter for multiple target tracking. The proposed approach evaluates the probabilities of one-to-one assignments of measurement-to-track and the measurement with the highest probability is selected to be target- originated, and the measurement is used for probabilistic weight update of particle filtering. The performance of the proposed algorithm for target tracking in clutter is compared with the existing clustering algorithm and the sequential monte carlo method for probability hypothesis density(SMC PHD) algorithm for multi-target detection and tracking. Computer simulation studies demonstrate that the HPDA algorithm is robust in performing automatic detection and tracking for multiple targets even though the environment is hostile in terms of high clutter density and low target detection probability.

Folk Remedies symbolize the medical art of the common people, and contain their special emotion and colloquial expressions. They are medical treatments in which the medical history and the tradition and the soul of a people are incorporated. They are handed down in various ways. This study introduces some of folk remedies. For example, powder of tigers' bones heals neuralgia. Rice wine brewing up with ginger is effective in a cold. Water boiling with safflower does good in neuralgia. Pasting herba houttuyniae takes effect in skin disease. To Decoct and drink old hardy orange is effective in urticaria. Water boiling with fructus corni alleviates a fever. Camellia oil or rhizoma cnidii or iris is used for the extermination of vermin and the antiseptic. In the end, the practical application of these remedies to the resources of industry and education will be discussed.

Extraskeletal Ewing`s sarcoma was first reported by L. Angervall and F.M. Enzinger in 1975. Clinically the tumor affects mainly young adults and children The extraskeletal Ewing`s sarcoma are mainly involved the soft tissues of the trunk and lower extremity. Microscopically. extraskeletal Ewing`s sarcoma is indistinguishable from the Ewing`s sarcoma of bone. We recently experienced a case of extraskeletal Ewing`s sarcoma of the anterior chest wall in a 13-year old female. The patient underwent local wide excision and postoperative radiation and combind chemotherapy were done. This group of tumors has been rarely reported in Korea. We presented a case of extraskeletal Ewing`s Sarcoma in the anterior chest wall with reviw of world literature.

We experienced 17 skeletal muscle transpositions in chest surgery during the past 8 years. There were 3 female and 14 male patients with ranging from 5 to 71 years of age [ average 47.3 Seventeen patients underwent 27 musele flaps : 11 latissimus dorsi, 6 pectoralis major, 6 serratus anterior and 4 other muscles. An average of 2.0 previous operations was performed. Hospitalization averaged 24 days.Follow up ranged from 7 days to 45 months;There were two postoperative deaths; one, 20 days after from operation due to pneumonia and the other, 130 days after from operation due to cor pulmonale.Fifteen patients who were alive after operation had good results at the time of last follow up.

This paper according to the sleep theory of Yeonggi(營氣) and Wigi(衛氣)'s circulation in "Naegyeong(內經)", explains that Yeonggi and Wigi's circulation is the internal basic for human's sleep-wake rhythm, and it's relationship with other sleep theories, such as mental activity sleep theory, soul sleep theory, Jangbu(臟腑) organs sleep theory etc. It can be seen that the circulation law of Yeonggi and Wigi for day and night is the key of sleep activities, and Yeonggi and Wigi's circulation disorder is the key of insomnia, so we should use coordination of Yeonggi and Wigi as basic method for treating insomnia, based on treatment after differentiation of syndromes.

The purpose of this paper was the analysis of Buddhistic views of fertilization, abortion and birth referred to in the Code of Buddhism. The findings of my analysis of the allusions of the Code are as follows. 1. Modern science holds the view that in fertilization the spermatozoom and the ovum are the essential factors, while the Buddhistic view is that here must be the entry of a reincarnated soul ( 中有 ; jung-yu) into fertilization. 2. In Buddhism, fertilization is regarded as the giving of a new life and the receiving a life which consists of the sufferings, both physical and mental in nature, of the individual to be born. 3. Artificial abortion in any case is stictly prohibited because it is regarded as taking life. 4. Birth perse is assumed to consist of suffering for both the mother and the child itself. Therefore, these are analogous to the perinatoloty of modern science.

Environmental concerns arising from synthetic herbicides in plant management systems have led to an interest in plant-derived compounds as natural herbicides. Inhibitory effects of compounds extracted with 50% methanol from corn (Zea mays L.) and pine (Pinus densiflora L.) were evaluated on large crabgrass (Digitaria sanguinalis (L.) Scop.), annual bluegrass Poa annua L.), radish (Raphanus sativus L.), and perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) The aqueous extracts inhibited seed germination and had postemergence activity on the four species. The stability of biological activity of corn grain, stover, and root extracts was not affected by heating to $135^{\circ}C$ or freezing/thawing treatments when applied at levels above 0.25kg m(sup)-2 based on dry weights of powders before extraction. Heating reduced the activity of pine litter and bark extracts at all levels except the highest application level but had little effect on pine needle extracts.
