초임계 반용매법을 이용한 폴리비닐피롤리돈 미세입자의 제조 (Preparation of Poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone) Microparticles Using Supercritical Anti-solvent)

  • 화장품, 의약품, 전자소재 분야에서 생체적합, 생분해성 고분자로 널리 사용되는 폴리비닐피롤리돈(PVP)을 에어로젤 용매추출 방법에 의해 미세입자를 제조하였다. 용매로는 이 염화메탄올, 반용매로는 초임계 이산화탄소가 사용되었다. 온도, 압력, 이산화탄소 유량, 용액유량의 작업조건에 따라 0.184 - $0.249\;{\mu}m$입자크기를 얻었고, 그 입자크기에 영향을 미치는 초기구형 입자크기와의 상관관계를 규명하였다.

  • Microfiltration membranes were prepared from aromatic polyethersulfone (PES) polymer, using aprotic solvent (N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, NMP) and non-solvent additive (2-methoxy ethanol, 2-ME) by the phase inversion co-process of the vapor-induced phase inversion (VIPI) and the nonsolvent-induced phase inversion (NIPI). According to the change of the additive amount, the solvent amount and the relative humidity, membrane characterization was studied. The non-solvent additive in casting solution played an important role in membrane morphology. During the vapor-induced phase inversion, the relative humidity led to water sorption on the surface of casting dope at which pore formation was generated. The prepared membranes were characterized by scanning electron microscope observations, measurements of capillary flow porometer and pure water flux (PWP). Also the thermodynamic and kinetic properties of membrane-forming system were studied through coagulation value, light transmittance and viscosity.

Fermi Resonance and Solvent Dependence of the νC=O Frequency shifts of Raman Spectra: Cyclohecanone and 2-Cyclohexen-1-one

  • The carbonyl stretching vibration, νC=O of 2-cyclohexene-1-one, is in Fermi resonance with a combination tone. The amount of Fermi resonance interaction between these two modes is dependent upon the amount of solute/solvent interaction due to hyd rogen bonding between the carbonyl oxygen and the solvent proton. The corrected νC=O frequency of 2-cyclohexene-1-one occurs at a lower frequency than the observed νC=O mode of cyclohexanone, possibly caused by expanded conjugation effects. The carbonyl stretching modes of cyclic ketones were also affected by interaction with the ROH/CCl4 mixed solvent system.

The Effect of Solvent on the $\alpha$-Effect(3): Nucleophilic Substitution Reactions of Aryl Acetates in $MeCN-H_2O$ Mixtures of Varying Compositions

  • Second-order rate constants have been measured spectrophotometrically for the reactions of substituted phenyl acetates with butane-2,3-dione monoximate and p-chlorophenoxide anions in MeCN-H$_2$O mixtures of varying compositions. The reaction rate, unexpectedly, decreased remarkably upon initial additions of MeCN to H$_2$O up to 30-40 mole ${\%}$ MeCN, and followed by a gradual increase upon further additions of MeCN. The change in solvent composition also influenced the magnitude of the ${\alpha}$-effect, i.e., the ${\alpha}$-effect increased as the mole ${\%}$ MeCN increased. The solvent dependent ${\alpha}$-effect for the present system appears to indicate that the differential solvation between the ${\alpha}$-effect nucleophile and the corresponding normal nucleophile is not solely responsible but the difference in the transition-state stabilization is also responsible for the ${\alpha}$ -effect in organic solvent-rich region.

Selective Oxidation of Cyclohexane at Low Temperature by Fe-Pd Bicatalytic Systems: $FeCl_2$-Pd/alumina System and Pd/$Fe_2O_3$ System

  • The system which employs iron, palladium, molecular oxygen and hydrogen as a model mono-oxygenase, has been investigated to develop a new method for selective cyclohexane oxidation uner mild conditions. This system provides much higher yield and selectivity for the formation of cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone compared to that of the existing industrial method. When the catalytic system, FeCl2-Pd/alumina, was employed, the oxidation system required acetone as a solvent to be efficient and acidifying the solvent by a little addition of acetic acid or HCl made the system more efficient. The Pd catalyst was recyclable without a significant deactivation but the recycling of ferrous chloride showed the decrease in the activity. On the other hand, the heterogeneous catalytic system, Pd/Fe2O3 could be recovered easily and reused after drying treatment.

잉크젯 프린팅 공정을 이용한 3D Integration 집적 기술의 무소결 고충진 유전체막 제조 (Inkjet Printing Process to Fabricate Non-sintered Low Loss Density for 3D Integration Technology)

  • We have successfully demonstrated the inkjet printing process to fabricate $Al_2O_3$ thick films without a high temperature sintering process. A single solvent system had a coffee ring pattern after printing of $Al_2O_3$ dot, line and area. In order to fabricate the smooth surface of $Al_2O_3$ thick film, we have introduced a co-solvent system which has nano-sized $Al_2O_3$ powders in the mixture of Ethylene glycol monomethyl ester and Di propylene glycol methyl ether. This co-solvent system approached a uniform and dense deposition of $Al_2O_3$ powders on the substrate. The packing density of inkjet-printed $Al_2O_3$ films is more than 70% which is very high compared to the value obtained from the films synthesized by other conventional methods such as casting processes. The characterization of the inkjet-printed $Al_2O_3$ films has been implemented to investigate its thickness and roughness. Also the dielectric loss of the films has been measured to understand the feasibility of its application to 3D integration package substrate.

신너사용 작업장의 유기용제 노출 및 $TiO_2$ 광촉매를 이용한 BTX처리에 관한 연구 (Organic Solvent Exposure of Thinner-Using Occupation and Its Treatment by Means of $TiO_2$ Photocatalyst)

  • Ultimate objective of industrial hygiene is the prevention of health impairment that may result from exposure to chemicals at workplace. Workers in solvent thinner-using occupation environment may be highly exposed to VOCs (volatile organic compounds) because solvent thinner has been used extensively such as painting, spraying, degreasing, coating and so on in Korea. The purpose of this study was to recognize, evaluate, and propose the control methods of VOCs from solvent thinner-using workplace. Five target volatile organic compounds (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, o-xylene, and m-xylene) were monitored in H company of Shiwa Industrial Complex and analyzed in perosnal, occupational indoor and outdoor during working hours simultaneously. Engineering control such as local ventilation should be made in considering the long-term exposure, though measured VOCs concentration did not exceed the workplace exposure standards. In addition, air cleaning device should be installed in local ventilation because Shiwa Industrial Complex has had the serious ambient air pollution. Currently, environmental purification using $TiO_2$ photocatalyst have attracted a great deal of attention with increasing number of recent environmental problems. In this study, $TiO_2$ sol coated on the ceramic bead was prepared by sol-gel method and the photodegradation of target compounds was investigated in gas phase by the exposure to UV-A lamp(365nm) in a batch system.

유기용매 내에서의 유지의 리파제 촉매반응 (Lipase-Catalyzed Reactions for Fats and Oils in Non-Polar Solvent)

  • 리파제는 모노, 디, 트리글리세리드 분자 내의 에스테르 결합을 가수분해 시키는 효소로 잘 알려져 있다. 그런데, 이 효소의 기질인 유지는 물에 용해되지 않아 그 반응이 불균일계에서 일어남으로 리파제 반응의 반응속도론적 해석이 곤란하였다. 이러한 성질은 유지공업에서 리파제를 산업적 촉매로 사용하는데 커다란 장해 요인이 되었었다. 그러나, 최근에 이상계, 역미셀계, 미수계와 같이 반응매질로 유기용매를 도입한 효소반응계가 개발됨에 따라 리파제를 이용한 유지의 전환에 대한 관심이 집중하는 추세에 있다. 리파제를 사용하여 유지를 가수분해시킴으로써 지방간을 생산하고자 할 때 효소반응계로 재래식의 에멀젼보다 이상계 또는 역미셀계를 사용하면 생산성, 굳기름의 가수분해 속도, 생성물 분리등의 측면에서 전체 공정의 효율이 향상될 수 있었다. 한편, 미수계에서 리파제는 에멀젼에서는 불가능한 에스테르 교환반응, 글리세리드 합성, aminolysis, thiotransesterification 및 oximolysis 같은 반응을 촉매 할 수 있는 획기적인 특성을 나타냈다. 공업적 측면에서 이 반응계는 물리적 또는 화학적 특성 (특히 융점)이 변형된 유지를 생산하고자 하는 에스테르 교환반응의 효소반응계로 널리 이용되고 있다. 앞으로 유기용매 내에서 효소의 안정성을 확보할 수 있는 수단 및 연속조작이 가능한 효소반응기의 개발에 관한 연구가 계속된다면 이러한 효소공정이 공업적 제조기술로 발전될 수 있을 것이다.

Effect of Marangoni flow on Surface Roughness and Packing Density of Inkjet-printed Alumina Film by Modulating Ink Solvent Composition

  • Two different micro-flows during the evaporation of ink droplets were achieved by engineering both surface tension gradient and compositional gradient across the ink droplet: (1) Coffee-ring generating flow resulting from the outward flow inside the ink droplet & (2) Marangoni flow leading to the circulation flow inside the ink droplet. The surface tension gradient and the compositional gradient in the ink droplets were tailored by mixing two different solvents with difference surface tension and boiling point. In order to create the coffee-ring generating flow (outward flow), a single-solvent system using N,N-dimethylformamide with nano-sized spherical alumina particles was formulated, Marangoni flow (circulation flow) was created in the ink droplets by combining N,N-dimethylformamide and fotmamide with the spherical alumina powders as a co-solvent ink system. We have investigated the effect of these two different flows on the formation of ceramic films by inkjet printing method, The packing density of the ceramic films printed with two different ink systems (single- and co-solvent systems) and their surface roughness were characterized. The dielectric properties of these inkjet-printed ceramic films such as dielectric constant and dissipation factor were also studied in order to evaluate the feasibility of their application to the electronic ceramic package substrate.

  • 본 연구에서는 Metallophthalocyanine Macrocyclic Compounds인 Zinc phthalocyanine(ZnPc)를 이용하여 박막 films를 만들어 solvent sensor의 특성에 대한 연구을 수행하였다. 측정에 사용한 유기용제의 종류는 Acetic acid, Ethyl alcohol, Methyl alcohol, Ammonia 및 1,1,1-trichloroethane이였으며, solvent sensing 특성으로는 전기저항 변화를 측정 분석하였다. 또한 Zinc phthalocyanines과 $N,N'-diphenyl-N,N'-bis(1-naphthyl)-1,\;1-biphenyl-4,4'-diamine\;and/or\; Poly[2-methoxy-5-(2'-ethylhexyloxy)-1,4-phenylene-vinylene]$를 blend하여 spin-coating, evaporation박막을 만들어 유기용제 농도에 따라서 전기 저항 변화를 측정 분석하였다.
