  • The purpose of the work is to improve comfort of a car seat, especially dynamic comfort which affects driver's discomfort during the long time driving. Definition of dynamic comfort was made before the investigation of which parameter affects seat comfort. In order to optimize design parameters so as to maximize seat comfort as well as to know the cause of discomfort, benchmarking on a target vehicle and competitive vehicles was performed, which showed both the vibration transmission characteristics and the compression set due to dynamic loading should be reduced. As a solution ball rebounds was increased by about 10% of the original foam, which showed reduction of S.E.A.T. value by 10% and of compression set by 60%.

  • In this paper, we introduce a hybrid iterative method for finding a common element of the set of solutions of a mixed equilibrium problem, the set of common mixed points of finitely many nonexpansive mappings and the set of solutions of the variational inequality for an inverse strongly monotone mapping in a Hilbert space. We show that the iterative sequences converge strongly to a common element of the three sets. The results extended and improved the corresponding results of L.-C.Ceng and J.-C.Yao.

  • A new class of nonlinear set-valued mixed variational inclusions involving (A, ${\eta}$)-accretive mappings in Banach spaces is introduced and studied, which includes many kind of variational inclusion (inequality) and complementarity problems as special cases. By using the resolvent operator associated with (A, ${\eta}$)-accretive operator due to Lan-Cho-Verma, the existence of solution for this kind of variational inclusion is proved, and a new hybrid proximal point algorithm is established and suggested, the convergence and stability theorems of iterative sequences generated by new iterative algorithms are also given in q-uniformly smooth Banach spaces.

  • This paper presents a novel region-based snake method for vessel segmentation. According to geometric shape analysis of the vessel structure with different scale, an efficient statistical estimation of vessel branches is introduced into the energy objective function, which applies not only the vessel intensity information, but also geometric information of line-like structure in the image. The defined energy function is minimized using the gradient descent method and a new region-based speed function is obtained, which is more accurate to the vessel structure and not sensitive to the initial condition. The narrow band algorithm in the level set framework implements the proposed method, the solution of which is steady. The segmentation experiments are shown on several images. Compared with other geometric active contour models, the proposed method is more efficient and robust.

  • The problem (P) of optimizing a linear function $d^Tx$ over the set of efficient points for a multiple objective linear program (M) is difficult because the efficient set is nonconvex. There are some interesting properties between the objective linear vector d and the matrix of multiple objectives C and those properties lead us to establish criteria to solve (P) with a linear program. In this paper we investigate a system of the linear equations $C^T{\alpha}$ = d and construct two linearly independent positive vectors u, v such that ${\alpha}$ = u - v. From those vectors u, v, solving an weighted sum linear program for finding an efficient extreme point for the (M) is a way of getting an optimal solution of the problem (P). Therefore the theorems presented in this paper provided us an easy way of solving nonconvex program (P) with a weighted sum linear program.

  • In this research, we presented the type 2 fuzzy transportation problem with additional constraints and solved by our proposed genetic algorithm model, and the results are verified using the softwares, genetic algorithm tool in Matlab and Lingo. The goal of our approach is to minimize the cost in solving a transportation problem with an additional constraint (TPAC) using the genetic algorithm (GA) based type 2 fuzzy parameter. We reduced the type 2 fuzzy set (T2FS) into a type 1 fuzzy set (T1FS) using a critical value-based reduction method (CVRM). Also, we use the centroid method (CM) to obtain the corresponding crisp value for this reduced fuzzy set. To achieve the best solution, GA is applied to TPAC in type 2 fuzzy parameters. A real-life situation is considered to illustrate the method.

  • Engineering structures usually suffer from cracks. The crack geometry has an influence on the structural mechanical properties and subsequent crack propagations. However, as an extensively utilized method in fracture analysis, the extended finite element method provided by Abaqus fails to output the specific location and dimensions of fractures. In this study, a technique to capture the crack geometry is proposed. The technique is based on the invariant level set method (I-LSM), which can avoid updating the level set function during crack development. The solution is achieved by an open-source plug-in programmed by Python. Three examples were performed to verify the effectiveness and robustness of the program. The result shows that the developed program can accurately output the crack geometry in both the 2D and 3D models. The open-source plug-in codes are included as supplementary material.

  • The healthy products dedicated for young people are qualified as a solution to protect the future generation, especially that most commercial deals do not consider the consumer's health and environment. Therefore, it is crucial to define the antecedent of healthy purchases and to examine their impact on teenagers. This research aims to explore the antecedents and the consequences of the consumption of Saudis teenagers. Therefore, we develop a research model in the conceptual framework and the hypotheses to test. The empirical analysis required two samples from Saudis youth consumers. The first sample was utilized in the exploratory study with SPSS software. Then, the second was employed to the confirmatory part with the Amos software, as well as the validation of the hypotheses, and model with Fuzzy Set approach. The findings of this study have significant insights into the Saudi consumption and implications for both practitioners and researchers. Then, we have particularly strenuous on intention purchase antecedents of organic foods, and their consume habit moderation.

  • In this paper, by using the concept of the resolvent operator, we study the behavior and sensitivity analysis of the solution set for a new class of parametric generalized nonlinear implicit quasi-variational inclusion problem in $L_p(p{\geq}2)$ spaces. The results presented in this paper are new and generalize many known results in this field.
