  • 본 연구의 목적은 MS/OR 과목을 가르치는 교수들이 계량 소프트웨어 패키지들에 대해 가지고 있는 인식을 조사하기 위한 것이다. 본 연구는 미국 대학에 근무하고 있는 MS/OR 담당교수들에 대한 설문을 중심으로 이루어졌다. 연구결과, 현재 MS/OR 과목을 담당하고 있는 교수들은 기존의 소프트웨어 패키지들이 계산속도, 제공되는 모형의 종류, 다룰 수 있는 문제의 크기 그리고 알고리즘의 정확성 등에 만족하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나, 이들 교수들은 기존 패키지들의 'what-if'분석 능력, 그래픽 기능, 모형 및 해(Solution)에 대한 설명기능, 출력물의 해독 용이성 그리고 사용의 용이성에 대해서는 불만을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Purpose This study explores the development direction of the artificial intelligence curriculum as a universal education that enhances the ability of college students to flexibly use artificial intelligence these days, where artificial intelligence education is spreading, and the educational components based on this are subdivided according to the characteristics of each major. Design/methodology/approach In order to develop the educational purpose of the subject and the detailed educational curriculum suitable for the subject of education, we first analyzed domestic and foreign prior research related to artificial intelligence liberal arts education. As the main components derived by experts, the basic concept of artificial intelligence converges to literacy to read and write for everyday problem solving, as well as problem-solving ability to manipulate real data and software. Findings The results showed that In the artificial intelligence literacy module, trends and prospects of artificial intelligence and necessary competencies were checked, and cases applied to major fields were examined. In the AI utilization and application part, basic data analysis items and content composition were composed through creative thinking, logical thinking, and intelligence. In order to design the curriculum, a software development language suitable for each major area was first selected, and AI education content areas, elements, and packages were defined and designed for each major area to meet the objectives of the subject.

초등 수학 수업에서의 소프트웨어(Graphers) 활용 (Using an educational software Graphers in elementary school mathematics)

  • The graph unit(chapter) is a good example of a topic in elementary school mathematics for which computer use can be incorporated as part of the instruction. Teaching graph can be facilitated by using the graphing utilities of computers, which make it possible to observe the property of many types of graphs. This study was concerned with utilizing an educational software Graphers as an instructional tool in teaching to help young students gain a better understanding of graph concepts. For this purpose, three types of instructional activities using Graphers were shown in the paper. Graphers is a data-gathering tool for creating pictorial data chosen from several data sets. They can represent their data on a table or with six types of graphs such as Pictograph, Bar Graph, Line Graph, Circle Graph, Grid Plot and Loops. They help students to select the graph(s) which are the most appropriate for the purpose of analyzing data while comparing various types of graphs. They also let them modify or change graphs, such as adding grid lines, changing the axis scale, or adding title and labels. Eventually, students have a chance to interpret graphs meaningfully and in their own way.

  • The experimental software such as Cabri II, The Geometer's Sketchpad, etc. provides dynamic environment which construct and explore geometric objects interactively and inductively. It has the effects on mathematics itself differently from other technologies that are used in instruction. What is its characteristics\ulcorner What are the educational implication of it for the learning of geometry\ulcorner How is mental reasoning of geometric problems changed by transformation of the means of representation and the environment to manipulate them\ulcorner In this study, we answer these questions through the review of the related literatures and the analysis of textbooks, teaching materials using it and curricular materials. Also, we identify implications about how the criteria for choosing geometic content and the ways of constructing context, for orchestrating the students' exploration with the secondary geometry curriculum, can be changed.

Effects of Training Contents on the Work Effectiveness of Learning Workers in the Software field

  • In this paper, the effects of educational contents on job behavior, the effects of job behavior on job effectiveness and the effects of educational contents on job effectiveness were studied when working in the Software field. For this purpose, a questionnaire survey was conducted on the learning workers who conducted the training in the IT field, and 302 valid questionnaires were used for the analysis. The research model was set up to test exploratory factor and confirmatory factor analysis and hypothesis, and the research hypothesis was tested by applying structural equation. The effects of job behavior on job effectiveness were positively related to job satisfaction, customer orientation, and organizational commitment.

Evaluation of Predictive Models for Early Identification of Dropout Students

  • Educational data analysis is attracting increasing attention with the rise of the big data industry. The amounts and types of learning data available are increasing steadily, and the information technology required to analyze these data continues to develop. The early identification of potential dropout students is very important; education is important in terms of social movement and social achievement. Here, we analyze educational data and generate predictive models for student dropout using logistic regression, a decision tree, a naïve Bayes method, and a multilayer perceptron. The multilayer perceptron model using independent variables selected via the variance analysis showed better performance than the other models. In addition, we experimentally found that not only grades but also extracurricular activities were important in terms of preventing student dropout.

  • 대학에서는 4차 산업혁명에 맞추어 디지털 융합시대를 이끌어갈 창의·융합 인재를 육성하기 위하여 프로그래밍 언어적 사고를 기반으로 SW교육을 비전공자 대상으로 운영하고 있다. 하지만 학습자들은 프로그래밍 언어의 문법과 생소한 프로그래밍 언어를 습득하는 과정에 난점을 겪고 있다. 본 연구에서는 SW 비전공자들에게 학습과정에서 고충을 해소하기 위해서 소프트웨어 교육 모형을 제안하는 데 목적을 두었다. 프로그래밍 언어사고를 기반으로 EZMKER kit 교구 교육모델 중심을 알고리즘 기술과 다이어그램 기술을 도입하여 프로그래밍 언어와 문법에 대한 학습부족을 극복하고 구조적 소프트웨어 교육모델을 Top-Down시스템 학습모델로 설계하여 구현하게 되었다.

Three Dimensional(3D) Education Game Development for Treatment Assistance with High-Functioning Autism

  • Due to rapid socio-economic development and environmental changes, particularly autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in the context of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and high-functioning autism, has become a significant social issue. This issue is increasingly recognized from a societal perspective rather than just an individual or family problem. But there remains a lack of information in frontline education. Traditionally, treatment for ASD has been conducted in specialized institutions, or by professional doctors, therapists, and counselors. There are still several challenges such as 1) accessibility to hospitals and transportation for children with ASD, 2) the maturity and competence of therapists, and 3) the lack of appropriate educational content. To solve these problems, we propose a supplementary 3D educational game process for children with high-functioning autism that utilize speech recognition technology and games designed for continuous and repetitive learning. Our proposed game content can be used at home, which incorporates Speech-To-Text (STT) technology and mini-games to help children indirectly experience and learn to handle unexpected real-life situations. With this approach, we will expect that the children can develop social skills and enhance the efficiency of their treatment.

Development of Software Education Program Using Robot for Students with Developmental Disorder

  • 소프트웨어 교육이 가지는 교육적 효과와 사회적 변화로 미루어 볼 때 일반 학생, 장애 학생 구분 없이 소프트웨어 교육에 대한 평등한 기회가 필요하다. 그러나 현재 일반 학생을 대상으로 한 소프트웨어 교육 관련 연구는 활발하게 이뤄지고 있으나, 장애 학생을 대상으로 한 소프트웨어 교육 관련 연구는 미비하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 발달 장애 학생을 대상으로 한 로봇 활용 소프트웨어 교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 발달 장애 학생을 대상으로 한 로봇 활용 소프트웨어 교육 프로그램 개발은 모두를 위한 소프트웨어 교육 기회 확대라는 측면에서 의미가 있다. 또한 과제 집중력이 낮고 단기 기억력이 부족하며 사회성이 다소 떨어지는 특성을 가진 발달 장애 학생들에게 로봇을 활용한 소프트웨어 교육 프로그램은 교구를 활용한다는 점에서 동기 유발이 용이하며, 발달 장애 학생들의 학업 성취도 개선 및 자기 관리 능력 신장 뿐 아니라 자아 효능감, 자신감 등 정의적인 부분에서도 유의미한 변화가 있을 것이다.

  • Educational software tends to be monotonous without the interaction between instructors and students. An unidirectional teaching system can't overcome these barriers because the learning process is monotonous without the bidirectional communication. The advanced network system can solve these problems. In this study, a bidirectional microprocessor simulator is developed and a new teaching model is proposed using the simulator. It was named JMPS (Java Microprocessor Simulator), which is a software to teach the microprocessor principles and applications. It has two advantages. First, it can teach the principles and applications of microprocessor effectively. Second, it runs on Internet and provides easy communication between a teacher and students.
