In line with the social changes due to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, foreign countries are strengthening information education for the future of education. This study analyzed the current status of software (SW) and artificial intelligence (AI) education among different types of information education programs in elementary schools of major foreign countries, and compared them with the education provided in Korea. Compared to major foreign countries, Korea allocated very little time for software education in elementary schools, making it difficult to sufficiently cover all areas of the curriculum achievement standards. In addition, other countries recognized the importance of artificial intelligence, an important technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and were providing artificial intelligence education on the basis of software education at the national level. The Korean government is also planning on providing the education at national level, but it was identified that the information education of elementary schools have many problematic issues. This study emphasized the need to establish an information curriculum for elementary schools as a way to address these issues.
Researches on the Artificial Intelligence has been explosively activated in various fields since the advent of AlphaGo. Particularly, researchers on the application of multi-layer neural network such as deep learning, and various machine learning algorithms are being focused actively. In this paper, we described a development of an artificial intelligence Janggi game based on reinforcement learning algorithm and MCTS (Monte Carlo Tree Search) algorithm with accumulated game data. The previous artificial intelligence games are mostly developed based on mini-max algorithm, which depends only on the results of the tree search algorithms. They cannot use of the real data from the games experts, nor cannot enhance the performance by learning. In this paper, we suggest our approach to overcome those limitations as follows. First, we collects Janggi expert's game data, which can reflect abundant real game results. Second, we create a graph structure by using the game data, which can remove redundant movement. And third, we apply the reinforcement learning algorithm and MCTS algorithm to select the best next move. In addition, the learned graph is stored by object serialization method to provide continuity of the game. The experiment of this study is done with two different types as follows. First, our system is confronted with other AI based system that is currently being served on the internet. Second, our system confronted with some Janggi experts who have winning records of more than 50%. Experimental results show that the rate of our system is significantly higher.

Recently, the importance and necessity of artificial intelligence (AI), especially machine learning, has been emphasized. In fact, studies are actively underway to solve complex and challenging problems through the use of AI systems, such as intelligent CCTVs, intelligent AI security systems, and AI surgical robots. Information security that involves analysis and response to security vulnerabilities of software is no exception to this and is recognized as one of the fields wherein significant results are expected when AI is applied. This is because the frequency of malware incidents is gradually increasing, and the available security technologies are limited with regard to the use of software security experts or source code analysis tools. We conducted a study on MalDC, a technique that converts malware into images using machine learning, MalDC showed good performance and was able to analyze and classify different types of malware. MalDC applies a preprocessing step to minimize the noise generated in the image conversion process and employs an image augmentation technique to reinforce the insufficient dataset, thus improving the accuracy of the malware classification. To verify the feasibility of our method, we tested the malware classification technique used by MalDC on a dataset provided by Microsoft and malware data collected by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA). Consequently, an accuracy of 97% was achieved.
A hyper-connected intelligence information society is emerging that creates new value by converging IoT, AI, and Bigdata, which are new technologies of the fourth industrial revolution, in all industrial fields. Everything is connected to the network and data is exploding, and artificial intelligence can learn on its own and even intellectual judgment functions are possible. In particular, the Internet of Things provides a new communication environment that can be connected to anything, anytime, anywhere, enabling super-connections where everything is connected. Artificial intelligence technology is implemented so that computers can execute human perceptions, learning, reasoning, and natural language processing. Artificial intelligence is developing advanced technologies such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, voice recognition, and visual recognition, and includes software, machine learning, and cloud technologies specialized in various applications such as safety, medical, defense, finance, and welfare. Through this, it is utilized in various fields throughout the industry to provide human convenience and new values. However, on the contrary, it is time to respond as intelligent and sophisticated cyber threats are increasing and accompanied by potential adverse functions such as securing the technical safety of new technologies. In this paper, we propose a new data modeling method to enable IoT integrated security control by utilizing artificial intelligence technology as a way to solve these adverse functions.

This paper proposes an action plan for local governments to safely utilize artificial intelligence technology in various local government policies. The proposed method analyzes cases of application of artificial intelligence-related laws and policies in Gyeonggi Province, Seoul City, and New York City, and then presents matters that local governments should consider when utilizing AI technology in their policies. This paper applies the AILocalism-Korea analysis methodology, which is a modified version of the AILocalsm analysis methodology[1] presented by TheGovLab at New York University. AILocalism-Korea is an analysis methodology created to analyze the current activities of each local government in the fields of legal system, public procurement, mutual cooperation, and citizen participation, and to suggest practical alternatives in each area. In this paper, we use this analysis methodology to present 9 action plans that local governments should take based on safe and reliable use of artificial intelligence. By utilizing various AI technologies through the proposed plan in local government policies, it will be possible to realize reliable public services.

The emergence of new IT technologies and convergence industries, such as artificial intelligence, bigdata and the Internet of Things, is another chance for South Korea, which has established itself as one of the world's top IT powerhouses. On the other hand, however, privacy concerns that may arise in the process of using such technologies raise the task of harmonizing the development of new industries and the protection of personal information at the same time. In response, the government clearly presented the criteria for deidentifiable measures of personal information and the scope of use of deidentifiable information needed to ensure that bigdata can be safely utilized within the framework of the current Personal Information Protection Act. It strives to promote corporate investment and industrial development by removing them and to ensure that the protection of the people's personal information and human rights is not neglected. This study discusses the strategy of deidentifying personal information protection based on the analysis of fake news. Using the strategies derived from this study, it is assumed that deidentification information that is appropriate for deidentification measures is not personal information and can therefore be used for analysis of big data. By doing so, deidentification information can be safely utilized and managed through administrative and technical safeguards to prevent re-identification, considering the possibility of re-identification due to technology development and data growth.

This work demonstrates the design and evaluation of Aqua-Aware, a lightweight miniaturized light emitting diode (LED) based underwater compact sensor node which is used to obtain different characteristics of the underwater environment. Two optical sensor nodes have been designed, developed, and evaluated for a short and medium link range called as Aqua-Aware short range (AASR) and Aqua-Aware medium range (AAMR), respectively. The hardware and software implementation of proposed sensor node, algorithms, and trade-offs have been discussed in this paper. The underwater environment is emulated by introducing different turbulence effects such as air bubbles, waves and turbidity in a 4-m water tank. In clear water, the Aqua-Aware achieved a data rate of 0.2 Mbps at communication link up to 2-m. The Aqua-Aware was able to achieve 0.2 Mbps in a turbid water of 64 NTU in the presence of moderate water waves and air bubbles within the communication link range of 1.7-m. We have evaluated the luminous intensity, packet success rate and bit error rate performance of the proposed system obtained by varying the various medium characteristics.

Mammography is the primary imaging modality for breast cancer detection; however, a high level of expertise is needed for its interpretation. To overcome this difficulty, artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms for breast cancer detection have recently been investigated. In this review, we describe the characteristics of AI algorithms compared to conventional computer-aided diagnosis software and share our thoughts on the best methods to develop and validate the algorithms. Additionally, several AI algorithms have introduced for triaging screening mammograms, breast density assessment, and prediction of breast cancer risk have been introduced. Finally, we emphasize the need for interest and guidance from radiologists regarding AI research in mammography, considering the possibility that AI will be introduced shortly into clinical practice.
