이 논문은 싱가포르가 저출산 해결을 위해 '결혼장려정책'을 도입하고 실행주체인 'Social Development Network'(사회개발네트워크)를 어떻게 활용하여 저출산 문제에 대처해왔는지에 초점을 맞춘다. Social Development Network는 결혼에 대한 싱가포르의 국가 책임주의를 잘 드러내는 조직으로서 출범부터 고학력 여성의 독신 증가와 출산력 저하라는 사회현상과 맞물려 발전해왔다. Social Development Network의 전신은'Social Development Unit'(SDU)이며 이후에 발족한 'Social Development Service'(SDS)를 흡수하여 2009년 Social Development Network로 재탄생했다. 출범 시 Social Development Network는 상업적 결혼대행기관들의 도움 없이 자체적으로 회원을 모집하고 조직적인 활동을 추진해오다가 2006년부터는 민간업체들에게 데이트와 중매 서비스 활동을 위임하고 프로젝트를 지원하는데 집중해왔다. 이 논문은 문헌분석을 활용하여 싱가포르 결혼장려정책의 지원주체로서 결혼에 관한 책임주의 이론적 관점에서 출범 이후 현재에 이르는 Social Development Network의 위상과 역할을 분석하고 동일한 사회적 경험을 하고 있는 한국에 의미 있는 시사점을 제시하는데 목적을 둔다.

전세계 수백만 명의 이용자가 대규모 멀티 플레이어 온라인 롤 플레잉 게임(MMORPG: Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games)을 즐긴다. MMORPG 내에서 롤 플레이어(역할 참여자)는 다양한 정보사용과 정보행동에 가담하면서 게임을 탐색하고, 미스터리를 해결하거나, 게임 속 아이템을 만들거나, 괴물이나 보스와의 전투에 참여하며 다른 플레이어와 경쟁하거나 협력한다. 또한, 롤 플레이어는 자신의 캐릭터 정체성을 개발하고 다른 롤 플레이어와 함께 대화형 스토리텔링에 참여한다. 이 연구는 정보세계이론을 통해 롤 플레이어의 사회적 정보 행동을 탐구하고 기술하기 위해, 광범위한 참여자 관찰 데이터, 반구조화 면담 데이터, 위키페이지나 토론게시판의 글과 같은 참여자의 커뮤니티 활동을 보여주는 사회적 데이터를 결합한 민족지학적 접근법을 사용했다. 과학 판타지를 주제로 한 MMORPG인 와일드스타(WildStar)의 롤플레잉 커뮤니티에서 두드러지는 사회적 역할 유형은 게임 속에서 허용되는 캐릭터, 이야기, 캐릭터의 행동 등을 지시하는 사회적 규범과 정보가치와 밀접하게 연관되고 차별화되는 동시에, 그 안에서 게임 속 캐릭터로서와 게임 밖 이용자로서의 정보세계 사이의 경계를 위반하지 않고 롤플레잉을 지속하는 방법들과 관련이 깊었다. 롤 플레이어는 특정한 정보 행동에 가담하며 게임 속 캐릭터와 게임 밖 이용자의 정보세계를 분리해서 유지함으로써, 롤 플레잉 게임을 더욱 참여적이고 몰입적으로 만들었다. 정보세계이론을 활용한 분석의 의미와 롤 플레잉 및 MMORPG을 적용한 디지털 리터러시 교육에 대한 가능성도 논의된다.

기계테크놀로지의 발달로 수작업을 중심하는 공예산업이 사양화 되고잇다. 산업혁명에 대한 당시의 사회문제를 비판했던 러스킨과 모리스의 사상은 오늘날가지 영향을 미치고 있다. 본연구는 공예활동의 발전과 위상정립을 위하여 그들의 사상을 중심으로 공예 본질적 개념을 정리하고 공예 사회적 역할을 논하고자 하였다. 기게생산에 의한 반발로 소비자의 취향이 개성화를 요구하고 생산라인의 소량다품종화의 문제를 공예적 생산방법으로 해결할 수 있다는 것은 공예생산의 존제 필요성을 입증하며 더욱이 대주으이 정신적생활이 중시되는 현시점에서 공예의 사회적 역할로써 기계적생활에 대한 감성적생활의 교육적 역할이 중요함을 논했다.

This study investigates the differences in the purchasing behavior of infant & children's wear with the features of children and consumers. This study conducted a survey on female buyers of infant & children's wear. 558 questionnaires were analyzed by using SPSS 18.0 statistic program with factor analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, cluster analysis, ANOVA, and paired t-test. The results are as follows: 1. The buyer's value was identified with 3 factors: mental achievement value, social achievement value, and pleasure value. Three types of group by values were identified: group seeking mental social achievement, group seeking social achievement, and group seeking pleasure. 2. Fashion and conformity, pleasure pursuit, and reasonable price pursuit orientations showed significant differences among the value groups. 3. A significant difference was found in the imitation of wearing role models according to sibling relationships.

This study examined the effects of gender role attitudes and recognition of social support on parenting stress in double-income couples. Participants included 102 double-income couples who had children enrolled in employersupported childcare centers. The findings showed that those husbands or wives who had recognized a higher level of spousal cooperation reported to have felt lower levels of parenting stress. Further, husbands and wives who had held traditional attitudes about gender roles reported to experience higher levels of parenting stress. However, when the significance in predictability was compared, the recognition of spousal cooperation was found to be the only variable explaining the variance husbands' and wives' parenting stress levels.

This paper reviewed the relationship between job demands/resources and safety participation, and the moderating effect of safety self-efficacy. Based on the responses from 247 employees, the results of multiple regression analysis appeared as follow; 1) job demands factors(role conflict, role ambiguity and role overload) effect negatively on safety participation. 2) job resources factors(autonomy and social support) effect positively on safety participation. 3) safety self-efficacy moderates positively 3 relationships-between role conflict and safety participation, between role ambiguity and safety participation, between social support and safety participation.

Today in modern Korea, the preferred modern social role for many modern women is that of modern housewife. This move to the role of housewife is a change in more than just a role; it also reflects a deep and fundamental change that has taken place in the social and economic roles of married women. This shift in economic activities and the gender roles they help produce speaks of a deep and profound process of transformation for all of Korea. Traditionally, a woman was a member of a family premised upon group production as well as group consumption. The role of jubu is derived almost exclusively from market forces and bases her identity and actions upon those forces. This distinction is crucial because it means Korean women are finding that they are no longer as central to the existence of the family. Modern life situations have altered a womans role by making consumption, not production by the woman herself, the keystone of modern families.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relational between elderly women＇s sex-role attitude and their marital satisfaction. For this purpose, a questionnaire was surveyed 186 elderly women living in Kwangiu and Chonnam. The collected data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, ANOVA and stepwise regression analysis. The results of this research were as follows ; First The total points of the elderly women＇s sex-role attitude score was 16.4, which was represented mixed trends of traditional and modem. And the total points of the elderly women＇s marital satisfaction score was 31.6, which was higher than the median 30. Second, Elderly women＇s sex-role attitude score was meaningfully different according to education level, health state, economic state. And elderly women＇s marital satisfaction score was meaningfully different according to social activity, economic state, health state, education level, age. Third, As the results of regression analysis, it was shown that the highest influencing variable on their marital satisfaction was the social activity, economic state, education level. All of them explained 19% of their marital satisfaction. (Korean J Human Ecology 1(2):48-60, 1998)

본 연구는 담론분석을 통해 '지혜의숲'에 대한 '도서관' 명칭 논란을 중심으로 언론 및 소셜 미디어, 인터뷰, 관계자의 일기책 등에 나타난 도서관에 대한 사회적 담론을 분석하였다. 하나의 사회적 '담론적 사건'으로 등장하게 한 언론보도, 그리고 그를 둘러싼 소셜 미디어, 도서관계와 출판계 인사들의 담론에 대한 인터뷰를 텍스트 분석, 담론적 실천, 사회적 담론 등 세 차원에서 분석하였다. 본 연구는 지혜의숲이 오히려 전통적인 도서관에 대한 담론과 변화를 요구하는 시대적 흐름을 재접합 되는 결과를 낳아 '도서관의 역할'에 대한 사회적 담론을 다시 이끌어냈고, 도서관과 출판이 다시 본연의 가치를 추구해야 할 자율적 담론을 위한 길을 촉발시킨 계기를 마련했다는 데 의의가 있다.

본 연구는 노인의 자살생각에 중요한 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀진 지각된 짐스러움과 절망감을 감소시킬 변인으로 사회적 지지를 제안하고, 사회적 지지가 지각된 짐스러움과 절망감을 매개로 노인의 자살생각에 미치는 부적 영향을 확인하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구결과, 사회적 지지의 하위차원 중 가족지지는 노인의 지각된 짐스러움을 줄여줌으로써 자살생각을 감소시킬 뿐 아니라, 감소된 짐스러움이 절망감을 감소시켜 노인의 자살생각을 줄여주는 것으로 나타났다. 친구지지는 노인의 지각된 짐스러움 및 절망감을 줄여줌으로써 자살생각을 줄여줄 뿐 아니라, 감소된 짐스러움이 절망감을 낮춤으로써 노인의 자살생각을 줄여주고 있었다. 지역사회지지는 노인의 지각된 짐스러움에 영향을 미치지는 못했으나 노인이 느끼는 절망감을 줄여줌으로써 자살생각을 줄여주는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 사회적 지지의 하위요인들(가족, 친구, 지역사회)은 자살생각에 대해 직접적인 효과를 보여주기보다, 다른 부정적인 요인을 감소시킴으로써 자살생각에 대한 간접적인 효과를 보여주었다. 이상의 결과에 근거하여, 고령화 사회와 핵가족화 사회에서 자칫 소원해 질 수 있는 가족관계를 개선하기 위한 노력의 필요성과 노인의 대인관계 및 사회적 네트워크 형성에 대한 지원, 그리고 지역사회 지원정책의 이용을 장려하는 적극적인 홍보 노력이 병행될 필요가 있음을 제안하였다.
