집단지성 플랫폼으로서의 소셜미디어 : 커뮤니케이션 유형별 실험 분석 (Social Media as a Platform of Collective Intelligence : An Exploratory Analysis Based on Communication Types)

  • Is the social web environment in which production, distribution and consumption of information occurs from users an environment where manifestation of collective intelligence is easily made? Or is the social web environment a condition that incites people to depend on the groupthink due to biased information? It is important to conduct empirical studies on the possibility of social media as a tool of collective intelligence under the situation where conflicting opinions prevail. However, most of the existing studies related to this were limited to an exploratory research rather than an empirical research. In this regard, this study attempted to examine if the social media can perform a part as a platform of the collective intelligence empirically. Based on the experimental results, it can be safely said that the communication methods of social media showed its usefulness in both 'intellectual capacity of the group' and 'problem-solving skill of the group.'

소셜 커머스 고객 만족에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (On the Factors that Affect Customers' Satisfaction in Social Commerce)

  • Social commerce is regarded as a kind of e-commerce that utilizes social media. Considering increasing complaints around social commerce market, it is important to see customers' satisfaction level and intentions to repurchase. In this study, we examine antecedents that affect customers' satisfaction and relationship between satisfaction and intention to repurchase in social commerce market. We also use social media characteristics as moderators between antecedents and customers' satisfaction. The main results are as follows. First, except site design, most of the intrinsic factors of service quality, such as information, transaction, communication and perceived security had positive effects on customers' satisfaction. Second, all the extrinsic factors of service quality, such as discount rate, constraints, and discrimination had significant impacts on customers' satisfaction. Third, the social media characteristics could not moderate the relationship between service qualities and customers' satisfaction. Fourth, customers' satisfaction had positive effect on the intention to spread through social media. Fifth, customers' satisfaction had positive effect on the intention to repurchase. Social commerce companies need to set up strategies considering the antecedents of customers' satisfaction using these research results. They also need to secure customers that have sustainable purchasing intentions.

Social media impact in the Match: A survey of current trends in the United States

  • Background Applicants to integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery (PRS) residency in the United States spend exorbitant amounts of time and money throughout the interview process. Outside of first-hand experience through a visiting rotation, applicants utilize various resources in learning about a program. Today's applicants are "Millennials," the demographic cohort raised during the information age and proficient with digital technology. The authors evaluated whether programs have a presence on social media, and whether applicants are following these accounts. Methods An online survey was sent to applicants to a single integrated plastic surgery program evaluating basic demographics, social media utilization, and sources of information accessed throughout the residency application process. A manual search of popular social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter) was performed in October 2019. Accounts affiliated with integrated PRS programs were identified and analyzed. Results Eighty-four of 222 applicants (37.8%) completed the survey. Ninety-six percent of applicants were within the Millennial demographic. Ninety-six percent of applicants had some form of social media presence, with Facebook (90%) and Instagram (87%) being the most popular platforms. Seventy-three percent of applicants reported following a PRS residency social media account. As of October 2019, 59 integrated residency programs (73%) have active Instagram accounts. Conclusions Applicants still rely on the program website when researching potential residencies, but social media is being rapidly adopted by programs. Program social media accounts should be used as a dynamic form of communication to better inform applicants of program strengths and weaknesses.

Social Media Advertising Effectiveness: A Conceptual Framework and Empirical Validation

  • In the era of Web 2.0, social media advertising can simultaneously stimulate consumers' brand purchase intention and brand information sharing intention. Product sales and brand information diffusion are equally important for a company that conducts advertising. This study investigates how features of brand content influence social media advertising effectiveness by integrating the stimulus-organism-response model and classic advertising effectiveness models. An analysis of 267 survey questionnaires shows that brand content-related cues, including perceived uniqueness, perceived vividness, and perceived interactivity have significant effects on consumers' affective and cognitive involvement, which then affect their attitude toward brand content. As a result, the consumers' attitude toward the brand and their brand purchase intention, as well as their brand content sharing intention, are positively affected by attitude toward brand content. This study contributes to a better understanding of how social advertising works, which suggests that managers should effectively use social media to conduct advertising.

한국 소셜 미디어 인플루언서 연구의 내용분석 (Content Analysis of Social Media Influencer Research in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 전세계적으로 주목받고 있는 소셜 미디어 인플루언서의 국내연구 동향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국학술인용색인에 등재된 학술논문 가운데, 2009년부터 2021년까지 소셜 인플루언서를 주제로 한 논문 총 178편을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 패션 및 뷰티, 커뮤니케이션 등 특정분야에 국한되어 있던 초기 소셜 미디어 인플루언서 연구는 시간이 흐를수록 다양한 학문분야로 확장되며 양적 성장을 이루고 있었다. 실증연구의 비중은 최근 들어 높아지는 추세이며, 질적 연구방법론을 적용한 연구들은 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 소셜 미디어 플랫폼의 특성은 매우 다양하고 각 플랫폼에서 활동하는 인플루언서의 유형과 속성 역시 이질적임에도 불구하고, 특정 미디어 플랫폼 및 인플루언서 유형에 대한 연구 비중은 오히려 더 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 국내 소셜 미디어 인플루언서 연구의 현주소를 조망하는 첫 실증연구라는 점에서 학문적 의의를 지닌다.

어학원의 소셜 미디어 마케팅이 브랜드 자산과 소비자 구매 의도에 미치는 영향 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Social Media Marketing of Language Schools on Brand Equity and Consumer Purchase Intent)

  • 기업들이 온라인 마케팅 채널로 SNS를 이용하고 있으며 나아가 소셜을 통한 고객관계관리(소셜CRM)의 영역으로 발전시키고 있는 추세이다. 이처럼 사회 전반적으로 소셜 미디어를 통한 기업들의 마케팅이 활발한 상황이지만 국내 어학 브랜드들의 소셜 미디어 마케팅 활동은 브랜드 특성에 따라 상이한 상태이다. 본 연구는 소셜 미디어 마케팅 활동의 구성 요소 중 정보성, 콘텐츠 적합성, 최신성이 브랜드 자산과 구매의도에 미치는 영향을 분석 하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 소셜 미디어 마케팅 활동의 구성 요소들은 브랜드 자산에 유의한 영향을 미치며 그 영향력은 최신성, 콘텐츠 적합성, 정보성 순이었다. 둘째, 브랜드 자산과 소비자 구매의도에서도 유의한 영향관계가 있으며, 자녀유무에 따라 구매의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 어학원 소셜 미디어 마케팅에 관한 기초 연구 자료로 활용 될 수 있을 것이며 어학원 소셜 미디어 마케팅에 관한 학술적인 자료가 충분하지 않은 현 상황에서 향후 후속 연구에 이론적인 방향성을 제시할 수 있을 것이다.

소셜 미디어의 지속적 이용의도에 미치는 영향변수에 관한 연구 (Understanding factors affecting users' social media continuance)

  • 소셜 미디어에 대한 지속적 이용의도에 미치는 영향변수와 그 관계에 대한 보다 체계적이고 종합적인 설명이 필요하다. 이를 위해 소셜 미디어 지속적 이용 의도에 미치는 영향변수(소셜 미디어 활동참여, 개인정보 노출위험, 지각된 향유, 몰입, 그리고 집단 동일시)와 소셜 미디어 이용에 대한 태도를 중심으로 모형을 설정하고 가설을 설정하였다. 수립된 가설을 실증적으로 검증하기 위하여 설문조사를 실시하고 AMOS를 이용하여 구조방정식으로 분석하였다. 신뢰성과 타당성이 확보된 연구결과를 토대로 분석한 결과 소셜 미디어 활동참여, 지각된 향유, 그리고 몰입이 소셜 미디어 지속성에 직, 간접적으로 영향을 미치고 있음을 밝혀냈다. 또한 소셜 미디어에 대한 태도가 소셜 미디어 지속이용의도에 정의 영향을 미쳤다. 마지막으로 연구결과의 실무적 시사점 및 연구의 한계점을 제시하였다.

소셜미디어 위험도기반 재난이슈 탐지모델 (The Detection Model of Disaster Issues based on the Risk Degree of Social Media Contents)

  • Social Media transformed the mass media based information traffic, and it has become a key resource for finding value in enterprises and public institutions. Particularly, in regards to disaster management, the necessity for public participation policy development through the use of social media is emphasized. National Disaster Management Research Institute developed the Social Big Board, which is a system that monitors social Big Data in real time for purposes of implementing social media disaster management. Social Big Board collects a daily average of 36 million tweets in Korean in real time and automatically filters disaster safety related tweets. The filtered tweets are then automatically categorized into 71 disaster safety types. This real time tweet monitoring system provides various information and insights based on the tweets, such as disaster issues, tweet frequency by region, original tweets, etc. The purpose of using this system is to take advantage of the potential benefits of social media in relations to disaster management. It is a first step towards disaster management that communicates with the people that allows us to hear the voice of the people concerning disaster issues and also understand their emotions at the same time. In this paper, Korean language text mining based Social Big Board will be briefly introduced, and disaster issue detection model, which is key algorithms, will be described. Disaster issues are divided into two categories: potential issues, which refers to abnormal signs prior to disaster events, and occurrence issues, which is a notification of disaster events. The detection models of these two categories are defined and the performance of the models are compared and evaluated.

Relevance between Marketing Route of Social Media and Consumer Age Group for Choosing Dental Clinics

  • Background: The purpose of the study was to evaluate the relationship and route of dental Social Media marketing by age group and support effective dental marketingy by age group. Methods: A study was conducted on 265 people, aged 20 to 64 years, who lived in Seoul, Gyeonggi area and regularly used one or more of the social media platforms, Naver Band, Facebook, Instagram, KakaoStory, Twitter, or YouTube more than once a day. A 27-question questionnaire survey of approximately 10 minutes was conducted, and the collected data was statistically analyzed using the PASW program, with the significane level set to 0.05. Results: "Introduction of acquaintances" was the most common route to visit the dentist. Regarding the use of social media platforms based on age group, 'Instagram' had the highest frequency among people belonging to the age groups of 20 to 29 years and 30 to 39 years; 'YouTube' had the highest frequency among those aged 40 to 49 years; and 'Naver Band' had the highest frequency among those aged 50 to 65 years. Conclusion: The most frequently used social media by consumers according to age included Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. However, social media was found to have no significant impact on the choice of dental institutions, as the number of people who visited the dentist through "Introduction of acquaintances" was the highest, and "Introduction of acquaintances" did not have experience accessing the dentist site after dental marketing. If this study could provide customized marketing information for each age group through social media, it is expected that the marketing effect of dental institutions through social media would be maximized in the future.

SNS를 통한 네일샵의 활용실태 및 SNS 정보 신뢰도가 네일샵 선택요인에 미치는 영향 (The effect of reliability of Social Media information on the selection factors of nail shops according to the use of nail shops through Social Media)

  • 본 연구에서는 20~50대 성인 여성을 대상으로 SNS를 통한 네일샵의 활용실태 및 SNS 정보 신뢰도와 네일샵 선택요인에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, SNS를 통한 효과적인 홍보를 통하여 고객 만족과 충성고객 확보 및 네일업계의 경영전략에 기여 하고자 연구를 진행하였다. 설문 조사는 SNS를 사용하며 네일샵을 이용해 본 20~50대 성인 여성을 대상으로 최종 403부를 분석하여 사용하였다. 연구 결과, 일반적 특성에 따른 SNS를 통한 네일샵의 이용실태에서는 각 요인에 따라 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, SNS를 통한 네일샵 이용실태에 따른 정보 신뢰도와 SNS 네일샵 선택요인, 네일샵 SNS 활용에 따른 SNS 정보 신뢰도, 네일샵 선택요인에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, SNS 정보 신뢰도가 SNS를 통한 네일샵 선택요인에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 네일샵 경영전략 수립을 위한 마케팅의 기초자료 및 네일샵을 이용하는 소비자들의 만족도를 높여 네일 미용 시장의 활성화에 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다.
