남성집단의 미디어정보이용도가 외모인식과 메트로섹슈얼 성향을 통해 외모관리행동에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Men's Media Information Utilization on Appearance Management Behavior: Mediated Effect of Appearance Awareness and Metrosexual Tendency)

  • Contemporary young men are consumption-oriented, pursue ideal male images displayed in commercials, and are highly interested in fashion, beauty, and appearance. This metrosexual tendency(which values appearance) is largely influenced by mass media. This study examines how men's media information utilization influences appearance awareness and metrosexual tendency as well as how these two variables influence cosmetics consumption and fashion product consumption behavior. The results are as follows. First, metrosexual tendency consists of four dimensions: fashion involvement, pursuit of individuality beyond sexuality, cognition of fashion taste, and preference of a high quality product. The sum of variance is 65.594%. Second, media information utilization influenced metrosexual tendency and metrosexual tendency influence cosmetic consumption, brand-sensitive consumption and commercial-sensitive consumption; however, it did not affect price-sensitive consumption. Third, media information utilization affected appearance awareness; however, appearance awareness did not affect metrosexual tendency. In conclusion, appearance management behavior for men in their 20s is clearly affected by media. This phenomenon is caused by the metrosexual desire to express identity through fashion. Men in their 20's do not take care of their looks because of the social perception of appearance (as related to showing off their competence or pursuit of social success); rather, they have a desire to express their individuality and personally enjoy grooming and maintaining their appearance. Therefore, we can expect increased beauty and fashion expenditures.

학교 내 청소년들의 권력관계 유형과 학교폭력 참여 역할 유형 (Relationships between Youth's Power Type and Participants' Roles in School Bullying Situations)

  • 본 연구는 학교 내 학생들 사이에는 권력관계에 바탕을 둔, 보이는 또는 보이지 않는 권력관계 유형이 존재하고, 이 유형들 간 역동이 학교폭력에 영향을 준다는 것을 전제로, 어떤 권력관계 유형의 청소년들이 학교폭력 상황에서 어떤 역할을 하는지를 규명해 보고자 시도되었다. 권력관계 유형화 작업을 위해 권력요소를 '권력장악가능성'과 '권력장악욕구'라는 두 차원으로 보고 이 두 개념을 직각으로 교차시켜 각 차원의 높고 낮음에 따라 학교폭력 상황에서의 권력관계 유형을 지배자, 실력자, 추종자, 은둔자의 네 가지 유형으로 분류했다. 학교폭력 상황에서 학생들이 취할 수 있는 여러 가지 역할은 Salmivalli 외(1996)가 제시한 여섯 가지 역할들을 활용했다. 분석을 위해 서울과 경기도에 소재한 초 중 고등학교 중 7개의 학교로부터 수집된 1822개의 사례가 사용되었다. 분석결과 지배자 유형의 학생은 가해자, 조력자, 강화자의 역할을, 추종자 유형의 학생은 피해자, 방관자의 역할을, 은둔자 유형의 학생은 피해자 역할을 주로 하는 것으로 나타났으며, 실력자 유형의 학생들의 경우 두드러진 역할이 발견되지는 않았다. 본 연구에서는 결과에 대한 함의와 함께 학교폭력 예방 및 대처를 위한 제안이 제시되었다.

Determinants of Accessibility to Fintech Lending: A Case Study of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) in Indonesia

  • Several studies have revealed that information on borrower characteristics plays an important factor in approving their credit requests. Though the extent to which such characteritics are also applicable to the case of fintech lending remain uncertain. The aim of this study is, thus, to investigate the determinant factors that influence MSEs in obtaining credit through fintech lending. Here, we emphasize virtual trust in fintech lending encompasing the dimension of social network, economic attributes, and risk perception based on several indicators that are used as proxies. Primary data used in the study was gathered from an online survey to the respondents of MSEs in Java. The result of the study indicates that determinants of MSEs in obtaining credit from lender through fintech lending are statistically influenced by internet usage activities, borrowing history, loan utilization, annuity payment system, completeness of credit requirement documents and compatibility of loan size with the business need. These factors have a significant effect on credit approval because they can generate virtual trust of fintech lender to MSEs as potential borrowers. It concludes that the probability of obtaining fintech loans in accordance with their expectations are influenced by the dimensions of social network, economic attributes and risk perception.

인공지능 스피커(AI 스피커)에 대한 사용자 인식과 이용 동기 요인 연구 (A Study on Consumers' Perception of and Use Motivation of Artificial Intelligence(AI) Speaker)

  • 본 연구에서는 미디어의 이용과 충족 이론을 토대로 소비자의 AI 스피커의 사용 행태를 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 AI 스피커 사용 경험이 있는 국내 소비자 330명을 대상으로 AI 스피커의 속성 인식과 이용의 동기적 요인을 도출하였다. 연구의 결과, 사용자의 AI 스피커 이용 동기 요인은 사회성 유지 및 현실 일탈, 정보습득 및 학습, 유희와 휴식, 유용성 추구의 4개 하위 차원으로 구성되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, AI 스피커 사용자의 연령대는 주로 30대이며, 혁신적 성향이 높은 사용자로 확인되었다. 아울러, AI 스피커 사용 동기요인 중 사회성 유지 및 현실 일탈 요인은 성별과 연령에 따라서, 그리고 정보 습득 및 학습, 유희와 휴식, 유용성 추구 요인은 연령과 혁신성 수준에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다. 본 연구는 AI 스피커의 특성을 반영한 사용자 이용 동기를 도출함으로써 향후 AI 스피커를 활용한 전략적 콘텐츠 운용 및 서비스 제공에 도움이 될 수 있다는 실무적 시사점을 갖는다.

노인장기요양보험제도와 돌봄 정의 (Korean Long-Term Care Insurance System and Caring Justice)

  • 본 연구에서는 노인 돌봄을 돌봄 논의와 지원정책에 통합해야 함을 전제로 노인장기요양보험제도를 돌봄정의의 관점에서 분석하였다. 돌봄 정의는 돌봄에 대한 책임과 권리를 모든 사회구성원이 동등하게 분담하는 이상을 의미하며, 돌봄 정의의 실현을 위해 탈상품화, 탈가족화, 탈젠더화, 노인의 참여와 권한의 네 가지 차원이 설정되었다. 노인장기요양보험제도를 네 가지 차원에서 분석한 결과 시장 위주의 상품화와 젠더화 된 돌봄 서비스를 통해 노인을 배제한 돌봄의 탈가족화를 추구함으로써 돌봄 정의가 실현되지 못하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 노인장기요양보험제도에서 나타난 노인 돌봄의 상품화, 가족화, 젠더화, 노인 배제를 극복하기 위한 방안으로 돌봄 서비스 비용의 적정화와 공공화를 통한 돌봄 노동의 사회적 위상 제고, 생애주기적 차원에서 아동, 성인, 노인을 통합적으로 포괄하는 돌봄 방식의 재조직화, 노인과 돌봄 관계 당사자들이 돌봄의 조직화와 결정 과정에 참여하고 결정권과 선택권을 행사할 수 있는 제도적 변화를 제시하였다.

친환경 의류지식과 의식이 친환경 의류소비에 미치는 영향 (Effect of eco-friendly clothing knowledge and consciousness on ecological clothing consumption behavior)

  • Consumers' interests in the environment have been growing; hence, their consciousness about the environment has changed and affected their clothing shopping behavior. Prior study indicated attitude-behavior inconsistency in eco-friendly consumer behavior. It was because consumers' consciousness or attitude was often measured at an abstract level, not at a product specific level. This study investigated eco-friendly clothing knowledge, eco-friendly clothing consciousness, and ecological clothing consumption behavior. The effects of consumers' level of clothing involvement and subjective norms in this process were also investigated. For the empirical research, a questionnaire was developed, and responses from 480 women in their 20s to 50s were statistically analyzed. Results indicated that interest and fashion consciousness dimensions of clothing involvement had a significant influence on eco-friendly clothing knowledge, which thereby significantly influenced the three factors of eco-friendly clothing consciousness: social responsibility, health orientation, and clothing resource-saving consciousness. Such factors had different roles in the clothing consumption process. Social responsibility had a significant influence on the entire process of clothing consumption: shopping, purchasing, using, and disposing behaviors. Health orientation consciousness had a significant influence on shopping and purchasing behaviors, whereas resource-saving consciousness had a significant impact only on shopping behavior. Subjective norms were significantly correlated with all aspects of the clothing consumption process. Influence on disposing behavior was relatively weaker than other aspects of clothing consumption behavior.

웰다잉을 어떻게 준비하고 있는가: 노인을 대상으로 (A Study on How Elderly People are Preparing for Dying Well)

  • 본 연구는 웰다잉을 어떻게 준비하고 있는가에 대한 질문을 통해 노인들이 생각하는 웰다잉을 위한 준비의 의미를 알아보기 위해 시도된 질적 연구이다. 경기도 B시의 노인복지관을 방문하는 65세 이상의 노인 10명을 대상으로 포커스그룹 인터뷰를 진행하였으며, 5명의 대상자를 한 그룹으로 하여 총 2그룹을 인터뷰 하였다. 연구결과 노인들은 신체적, 심리적, 사회적, 영적 준비 영역 4개 차원에서 웰다잉을 준비하고 있었고, 각 차원에서 총 8개의 주제가 도출되었다. 신체적 준비에서는 '건강 관리하기', '하고 싶은 것 하기'가 도출되었고, 심리적 준비에서는 '후회하지 않는 마음 갖기', '주변 사람에게 베풀기'가 도출되었다. 사회적 준비에서는 '재산 정리하기', '희망하는 죽음의 장소 정하기', '사전 연명의료 의향서 작성하기'가 도출되었으며, 영적인 준비에서는 '종교에 의지하기'가 도출되었다. 노인들은 웰다잉을 위해 하나의 측면이 아닌 신체적, 심리적, 사회적, 영적의 다양한 측면에서 웰다잉의 준비를 하고 있었다. 따라서 웰다잉을 위한 프로그램 개발 시 다양한 측면에서 실제적인 죽음 준비가 이루어지도록 프로그램이 기획되어야 할 것이다.

맞벌이 가구와 남성홀벌이 가구 부모의 양육스트레스 연구 : 부부관계와 아버지 양육참여의 상호작용 효과 분석 (Parenting Stress among Dual- and Single-Earner Families : The Interaction Effect of Marital Relationship and Father's Child-Rearing Involvement on the Parenting Stress)

  • Objectives: This study aims to investigate the effect of marital relationship on parenting stress among dual- and single-earner families. In particular, this study focuses on the interaction effect of marital relationship and father's child-rearing involvement on the parenting stress. To access factors associated with parenting stress, we included marital satisfaction and marital conflict as the dimensions of marital relationship in this study. Method: We employed data from the 5th wave of the Panel Study of Korean Children(PSKC) data. Our analysis sample consisted of 1,515 parents having at least one child aged under 4 years. Also, this study conducted descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. Results: First of all, marital satisfaction and marital conflict were significantly related to parenting stress for both mother and father in dual-earner families. While both indicators were significantly related to parenting stress for father, marital conflict only was a significant predictor for mother in single-earner families. Second, father involvement was a significant predictor for parenting stress for father in both dual- and single-earner families. Third, interaction effects were found between father involvement and marital conflict in the dual-earner families and between father involvement and marital satisfaction in the single-earner families. Conclusions: Based on the results, we recommended programs designed to enhance father's child-rearing involvement such as parenting education and community-based campaign. In addition, we recommended that policy and practice need to identify marital relationship dynamics to promote father's involvement and to reduce marital conflict in both dual- and single-earner families accordingly.

Research Trends of 'One Belt One Road' in Korean Academic Circles

  • This proposed work aims to understand the Korean Academic Circle (KAC)'s research trend on the "One Belt One Road" (OBOR) by employing a quantitative analysis of the recent research articles published by the KAC. To do so, this proposed research has used the well-known network analysis software, Ucinet 6, by which the papers on related topics are collected and filtered from Korea Citation Index. To perform the analytical selection, the proposed work has chosen 'keywords' as the core research object and performed analysis from transverse to longitudinal aspects, and from holistic to individual aspects, respectively; and from this, the KAC's research trend on OBOR is derived. The present work has established that the KAC's attention is continuously increasing on OBOR and has sustainability. Centered on the OBOR, Korean researchers have spread their studies in various dimensions ranging from the issues like China's political economy to Sino-Korea economic and trade exchanges, and so on. The KAC has even combined OBOR with Korea's international development initiatives, which can help Korea benefit from active and sustainable cooperation with China. Moreover, the proposed work has found that Korean researchers have also actively expressed their growing attention, highlighted Korea's interest, and showed concern about China hegemony and Sinocentrism in their recent documented research works.

Jumpstarting the Digital Revolution: Exploring Smart City Architecture and Themes

  • Over the last few decades, various innovative technologies have emerged that have significantly contributed to making life easier for humans. Various information and communication technologies (ITCs) have emerged as a result of the global technological revolution, including big data, IoT, 4G and 5G networks, cloud computing, mobile computing, and artificial intelligence. These technologies have been adopted in urban planning and development, which gave rise to the concept of smart cities in the 1990s. A smart city is a type of city that uses ITCs to exchange and share information to enhance the quality of services for its citizens. With the global population increasing at unprecedented levels, cities are overwhelmed with a myriad of challenges, such as the energy crisis, environmental pollution, sanitation and sewage challenges, and water quality issues, and therefore, have become a convergence point of economic, social, and environmental risks. The concept of a smart city is a multidisciplinary, unified approach that has been adopted by governments and municipalities worldwide to overcome these challenges. Though challenging, this transformation is essential for cities with differing technological and social features, which all have the potential to determine the success or failure of the digital transformation of cities into smart cities. In recent years, researchers, businesses, and the government have all turned their attention to the emerging field of smart cities. Accordingly, this paper aims to represent a thorough understanding of the movement toward smart cities. The key themes identified are smart city definitions and concepts, smart city dimensions, and smart city architecture of different layers. Furthermore, this article discusses the challenges and some examples of smart cities.
