In order to foster talents equipped with practical knowledge and skills geared to the requirements of the jobs, education at college level also need to be improved by reforming the current curricula. This paper aims to develop better ways for college education based on the scrutiny of the pros and cons of the current curricula of colleges. To this end, it reviews preceeding studies on this subject and examines the applicability of the model of competency-based education. We analyse whether this model can be applied to college education or not. By indicating specific ways to apply the standards of the basic-level job competency developed by Human Resources Development Service of Korea to job training courses, the study also aims to contribute to the improvement of education at college.

The global health competency was measured using the Global Health Competencies for Nurses in the America, which consists of 30 competencies in 6 domains. Each competency was measured by a 4-point Likert Scale, with at least 80% of 3 or 4 point scores indicating consensus that competency was considered essential for undergraduate nursing students. Results: Nursing educators most strongly agreed the competencies of the Social and Environmental Determinants of Health domain as essential global health competencies for nursing students. A total of 21 items in 5 out of 6 competency domains were initially identified with at least 80% agreement. Finally, the experts decided on 24 global health competencies through the revision and integration of several competencies. Conclusion: The findings indicate that nursing educators perceived that nursing students need to be prepared for responding to emerging global health needs. The proposed list of global health competencies can provide guidance to develop a framework for integrating global health into undergraduate nursing curriculums.

As the rapid development of ICT is becoming an essential element of social culture, the ICT operation of bureaucratic government also is becoming important. The central government has invested substantially new ICT for improving the quality of nationwide service and to promote administrative efficiency. However, various departments of government occur frequently duplication investments of ICT, and budget conflicts between organizations caused difficulties in maximizing ICT competency. I will confirm the ICT operational performance by ICT investment behavior and organizational work competency as well as the significance of ICT policy consistency. The method of study used a structural equation. The research model set ICT investment behavior as independent variables, organizational work competencies and policy consistency as mediations, and operational performance as dependencies. As a result of the research, New ICT interests show negative effects that caused work change between government organizations and government-funded body. But, New ICT convergence shows positive effects on increasing the two competency variables. The two competency variables show negative effects that caused changes in ICT policy consistency and show no impact on the ICT operational performance. The ICT policy consistency shows a positive effect on enhancing ICT operational performance. The study contribution explain updated the contingency theory and because the ICT policy consistency is essential, negotiation between government organizations will be important. Future research will require a qualitative study through interviews in government organizations about consistency enhance of ICT policy.

  • In this paper, the effect of daily creativity of engineering students on problem-solving ability is addressed through the dual mediating effect of teamwork competency and self-directed learning ability. To this end, a regression-based statistical mediation analysis has been performed on the dual mediation model in which daily creativity and problem solving ability were treated as independent and dependent variables respectively, and teamwork competence and self-directed learning ability were included as mediation variables. The analysis result confirmed that the daily creativity has direct effect on the problem-solving ability, as well as indirect effects through teamwork competence and self-directed learning ability. In particular, the serial mediating effect of teamwork competency and self-directed learning ability was also confirmed to be statistically significant in the relationship between daily creativity and problem-solving ability. This verifies that problem-solving ability can be improved not only directly by improving daily creativity but also indirectly by improving teamwork competence and self-directed learning ability. In addition, teamwork competency showed greater indirect effect on problem-solving ability than self-directed learning ability, so increasing teamwork competency has a more significant effect on improving problem-solving ability than increasing self-directed learning ability. Therefore, in order to develop better problem-solving ability, it is necessary to identify and improve the learners' teamwork competency first and to strive to create an environment where learners can solve problems based on mutual trust with their teammates.

There are many studies about relation between consultant's competence and company's accomplishment, but there are lack of research about how consultant's competence effected CEO's Value. The data source used in this study is a questionnaire survey involving 177 CEOs of SME who have experience in consulting. Based on this collected data, we conducted factor analysis, reliability and validity analysis, and hypotheses were verified through correlation analysis and regression analysis. This study shows that consultant's competence affected CEO's values in some ways, and also contributes to both academic and practical implications about corporate management that related sustainable growth between consultant and client.

  • The aim of this study is to provide basic data for college life adaptation support measures at the college level by identifying college life adaptation status, the relevance of university life adaptation and the core competencies. In order to ahieve this aim there are three objectives. This study is a research study to understand the relationship between college life adaptation and core competencies of college students before and after the coronavirus. The subject of this study was 171 university students from Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Honam. Data was collected through an untact questionnaire, and data analysis was performed using the SPSSWIN 25.0 program for mean, descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, T-test, correlation, and regression analysis. As a result, first, the difficulty of "emotional adaptation" before the coronavirus was high, and the difficulty of "academic adaptation" was high after the coronavirus. Second, the core competencies of college students were highest in the order of 'interpersonal relationship competency', 'problem solving competency', and 'information communication competency'. Third, as a result of analysis of the relationship between core competency factors and adaptation to university life, difficulties in social adaptation were found both before and after the coronavirus. After the corona, difficulties in adapting to school and learning new skills appeared. In conclusion, in order for university students to adapt to university life in the post-corona era, university-level support is needed to reinforce interpersonal relations competencies in unrect situations, reinforce information and communication competencies to promote academic adaptation, and reinforce new skills acquisition competencies.

  • This study was a descriptive survey study for nursing college students to identify disaster awareness, attitude, disaster preparation, nursing professionals, social support, and disaster nursing capabilities, and to prepare measures to improve disaster nursing capabilities by identifying predictors of disaster nursing capabilities. Data collection was collected from 160 nursing students in G-do from March 27 to April 7, 2023, and a total of 158 copies were finally analyzed. Using the SPSS Win. 25.0 program, technical statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression were analyzed. The result show that fourth grade(β=.20, p=.027), disaster nursing education is 'existent'(β=.15, p=.041), disaster readiness(β=.27, p<.001) nursing professional(β=.21, p=.012) was found to be a significant predictor of disaster nursing competency. Disaster preparation was found to be the best predictor of disaster nursing competency, followed by "nursing professionals," "fourth grade," and "disaster nursing education" with 26.3% of explanatory power. According to the findings of this study, it is necessary to develop an integrated education program for disaster nursing practice that can enhance awareness of disasters, attitudes toward disasters, disaster preparation, nursing professionals, and social support.
