  • Background: Hybrid learning is an educational approach that combines the teaching methods of online and lecture-style classes to compensate for each method's strengths and weaknesses. Compared to lecture-style classes, flipped learning improves overall class satisfaction and self-directed learning but is associated with lower learning motivation. It is necessary to determine whether hybrid flipped learning can solve the learning motivation problem of flipped learning by incorporating flipped learning into hybrid learning. The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of hybrid flipped learning and flipped learning on students' learning ability. Design: Cross-sectional study Methods: For students in the Department of Physical Therapy, classes were conducted using both flipped learning and hybrid flipped learning. In both learning methods, students took online classes first and participated in them every week. Flipped learning classes was conducted offline at school every week, while hybrid flipped learning alternated between live classes on YouTube and offline classes at school every other week. Results: Hybrid flipped learning resulted in significantly lower learning satisfaction and course evaluation than flipped learning, with no significant difference in grades. Conclusion: Hybrid flipped learning was able to cope with the situation well with the non-face-to-face teaching method caused by COVID-19, but it was difficult to improve learning ability because there were restrictions on activities that could interact with students. Flipped learning is a smooth offline activity that enables two-way activities between professors and students to improve learning ability, but the effect of improving test scores is still unclear.

  • It is a complex project to construct the standard system of sports events. Sports events standard system covers from the implementation plan to the evaluation work after the smooth implementation of sports events, involving many links. Large-scale sports events have extremely high media value. However, the successful organization and operation of large-scale sports events face many problems to be overcome, especially in terms of event safety. Although the organizers and organizers of large-scale events have invested many resources for the safe holding of sports events, violence similar to "football hooligans" in Europe is endless. At present, compared with Western countries, the standardization of sports events in China is low, and there is a problem of a late start and huge difference with Western developed countries. Knowing the construction of the standardization system's situation in China, we have summarized the data related to 15 sports events held in Chengdu is the last 5 years. By analyzing the problems in the process of holding these 15 events and the reflections of participants on the experience of sports events, the problems in the development of the standard system of sports events are discussed in depth. The final conclusion is that the system structure of China's sports events is not so good and athletes have a poor experience. China's sports event system still has many problems. Finally, we built a sports event standardization model using Internet of Things, and after a practical test we found that it has a good effect. Finally, we combined the current situation of sports event standardization system in China and put forward the following suggestions: laws and regulations related to the standard system of sports events must be formulated at the national level. The implementation level must strengthen the degree of integration of sports events and technology. To improve the quality of human resources in the management of sports events. The article puts forward targeted solutions, which play a great role in promoting the perfection and completeness of China's standard system for sports events. At the same time, it also promotes economic development and improves China's international status.

  • In this study, a survey on the coexistence of offshore wind farm and fishing activities in Gochang, Gunsan, and Buan's fishermen in the southwest sea of shore wind farm was carried out witn an aim of examining the factors that should be considered when coexisting. A questionnaire was composed after referring to domestic and foreign literature data on examples of coexistence. The questionnaire was issued through direct visits. Frequency analysis and cross-analysis were used for survey response results, and IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 26 was used for statistical processing. As a result of analyzing a total of 84 questionnaires, the perception of the coexistence of offshore wind and fishing activities was the same by 50.0% positive and negative, respectively. As a result of cross-analysis by region, significant differences were found (p <0.039). Gochang fishermen showed a high negative perception of the coexistence of offshore wind and fishing activities at 62.1%, with the main reason being that fishing resources are expected to decrease due to the influence of noise, vibration, and current generated from offshore wind farm facilities. In Gunsan, negative perception of coexistence was high at 57.7%. This was mainly attributed to the impossibility to operate in the offshore wind farm due to the nature of the fishery. On the contrary, in the case of Buan, 69.0% of the positive perception of coexistence was high 'because fishermen were dissatisfied with the current coexistence plan (policy)'. According to previous studies, 91.8% of domestic fishing methods show the possibility of fishing activities in offshore wind under caution, so it is concluded that research should be conducted to coexist with offshore wind and fishing activities as in foreign countries for smooth installation of offshore wind and continuous fishing activities.

  • This study presents a step-by-step analysis of the experiences and discussions of five elementary school teachers while developing the Augmented Reality (AR) science educational materials, using the Unity Physics Engine. In the preparation phase to develop the AR materials, the teachers explored the features of the AR technology and decided to create AR materials for experiments related to magnetic fields in the magnetism unit, based on discussions about the unit selection. In addition, they complained about difficulties arising out of the lack of background knowledge about the C# programming language in the preparation phase. During the material development stage, there were difficulties in operating the unfamiliar interface and other functions of the software. However, this was overcome through knowledge sharing and collaborative communication among the teachers. The final materials developed were marker-type AR materials to perform experimental activities by changing the position of the magnet and the compass markers. Based on the developed materials, the teachers discussed their smooth utilization during the classroom activities.

  • This study observes the difference in the actual regional ripple effect of the decrease in admission resources due to the decrease in school age population, which has been weak in empirical studies, and how much the decrease in competition rate by department nationwide provides a significant shock to the decrease in enrollment rate in the population unit. An empirical quantitative analysis was attempted. As a result of applying the panel-tobit regression model, a clear gap was confirmed in the decrease in the registration rate due to the decrease in the competition rate both nationally and in the provinces, and in particular, a highly significant relationship was derived with the decrease in the recruitment rate. In particular, the sensitivity of the risk of unrecruitment due to a decrease in competition rate was the highest in the Jeolla region (0.499), followed by the Gangwon region (0.475) and the Gyeongsang region (0.471), and the metropolitan region (0.158) was confirmed to be the most stable. This suggests that the gap in insufficient funding has gradually widened by region over the past 10 years, and that the shock wave becomes more pronounced in the provinces farther away from the metropolitan area. Based on this study, if we deviate from the standardized application of university development policies for the metropolitan area and regional universities, and present a customized higher education strategy for each region, it will be an opportunity to prevent local extinction due to a decrease in the school-age population and achieve coexistence with higher education institutions and regions at the same time.

  • Climate change has led to a significant increase in jellyfish populations globally, causing various problems. For power plants that use nearby seawater for cooling, the intrusion of jellyfish into intake systems can block the flow, leading to reduced output or even shutdowns. This issue is compounded by other small marine organisms like shrimp and salps, making it urgent to develop solutions to prevent their intrusion. This study addressed the problem using the BioSonics DT-X 120 kHz scientific fish finder to conduct preliminary tank experiments. We also deployed underwater acoustic and camera buoys around the intake of nuclear power plant, utilizing a bidirectional communication system between sea and land to collect data. Data collection took place from July 31, 2023 to August 1, 2023. While harmful organisms such as jellyfish and salps were not detected, we successfully gathered acoustic data on small fish measuring backscattering strength (SV). Analysis showed that fish schools were more prominent in the evening than during the day. The highest fish distribution was observed at 3:30 AM on July 31 with an SV of -44.8 dB while the lowest was at 12:30 PM on the same day with an SV of -63.4 dB. Additionally, a solar-powered system was used to enable real-time data acquisition from sea buoys with smooth communication between the land server and the offshore buoy located 1.8 km away. This research developed an acoustic-based monitoring system for detecting harmful organisms around the intake and provided foundational data for preventing marine organism intrusion and planning effective measures.

  • Polyester round slings are widely utilized in various work environments due to their lightweight, flexible nature and smooth surface that minimizes the risk of cargo abrasion or damage. However, specific guidelines intended to protect round slings from the damage caused by the sharp edges of cargo, thus preventing accidents in case the cargo falls, are lacking in South Korea. In this study, a comparative analysis was conducted on the regulations and guidelines related to round slings in South Korea and the United States. Further, experiments were carried out to determine the relationship between round slings and lifting accessories. The research identified specific shortcomings in the user manuals provided by round-sling manufacturers. Accordingly, certain measures were proposed for enhancing the operational safety of round slings: 1) establish criteria for edge protection of polyester round slings and 2) recommend standardization of the information provided by manufacturers. As developing new standards is a time-consuming task, this study proposes a method for enhancing the operational safety of round slings in the short term by introducing established safety standards from the United States-where safety has been proven over a considerable period of time-into the domestic context. In addition, it is recommended that edge criteria be permanently printed on the labels of round slings.

  • The performance capability of the future battlefield depends on whether the next-generation technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, called ABCMS (AI, Bigdata, Cloud, Mobile, Security), can be applied to secure innovative defense capabilities It is no exaggeration to say. In addition, the future military operation environment is rapidly changing into a net work-oriented war (NCW) in which all weapon systems mutually share battlefield information and operate in real-time within a single integrated information and communication network based on the network and is expanding to the scope of operation of the manned and unmanned complex combat system. In particular, communication networks responsible for high-speed and hyperconnectivity require high viability and efficiency in power operation based on multi-tier (defense mobile, satellite, M/W, wired) networks for the connection of multiple combat elements and smooth distribution of information. From this point of view, this study is different from conventional single-media, single-path transmission with fixed specifications, It is an artificial intelligence-based transmission technology using RNN (Recurrent Neural Networks) algorithm and load distribution during traffic congestion using available communication wired and wireless infrastructure multimedia simultaneously and It is the development of MMMP-Multi-Media Multi-Path adaptive network technology.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a fluidity-improved refilling material that satisfies smooth construction and long-term durability in a low-temperature environment using special materials and field soil as a refilling material to develop technology for high-speed installation of long-term non-traditional pipelines on poor ground containing a large amount of organic soil in a low-temperature environment. To this end, a special cement material was developed, and an indoor test was conducted to determine the construction performance and durability of the fluidity improved refilling material mixed with the developed special material and field soil to meet the quality standards for field construction. The construction quality standard items of fluidity improved refill materials were set to meet the CLSM (ACI 229R-13) standard suggested by the American ACI (America Concrete Institute). In addition, in order to understand the applicability in a low-temperature environment, the test was performed with the same items at low temperature and compared with the indoor test results at room temperature.

  • Although the migration of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) is important for hepatic fibrosis, the regulation of this migration is poorly understood. Notably, transforming growth factor (TGF)-β1 induces monocyte migration to sites of injury or inflammation during the early phase, but inhibits cell migration during the late phase. In the present study, the role of transforming protein RhoA signaling in TGF-β1-induced HSC migration was investigated. TGF-β1 was found to increase the protein and mRNA levels of smooth muscle actin and collagen type I in HSC-T6 cells. The level of RhoA-GTP in TGF-β1-stimulated cells was significantly higher than that in control cells. Furthermore, the phosphorylation of cofilin and formation of filamentous actin (F-actin) were more marked in TGF-β1-stimulated cells than in control cells. Additionally, TGF-β1 induced the activation of nuclear factor-κB, and the expression of extracellular matrix proteins and several cytokines in HSC-T6 cells. The active form of Rap1 (Rap1 V12) suppressed RhoA-GTP levels, whereas the dominant-negative form of Rap1 (Rap1 N17) augmented RhoA-GTP levels. Therefore, the data confirmed that Rap1 regulated the activation of RhoA in TGF-β1-stimulated HSC-T6 cells. These findings suggest that TGF-β1 regulates Rap1, resulting in the suppression of RhoA, activation of and formation of F-actin during the migration of HSCs.
