A Study on User Behavior Analysis for Deriving Smart City Service Needs (스마트시티 서비스 니즈 도출을 위한 사용자 행위 분석에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, there has been a growing interest in user-centered smart city services. In this study, user behavior analysis was performed as a preliminary study for user - centered smart city service planning. In particular, we will use GIS based location analysis data and video ethonography methodology to derive smart city service direction and needs. In this study, the area of Daejeon Design District selected as the Smart City Test bed was selected as the survey area and the location analysis data of the traffic accident analysis system of the road traffic corporation and the fixed camera We observed user's behavior type and change with image data extracted through the technique. Location analysis data is classified according to the type of accident, and image data is classified into 11 subdivided types of user activities. The problems and specificities observed were analyzed. The user behavior characteristics investigated through this study are meaningful to provide a basis for suggesting user - centered smart city services in the future.

  • 신재생에너지는 기후변화협약 및 화석연료의 고갈 등으로 인해 전력계통으로의 도입 필요성은 증가하고 있으나 경제성 부재로 인해 도입 시 많은 제약이 있었다. 그러나 최근 풍력발전기의 경제성이 확보되고 있는 추세이며 일부 유럽 국가를 중심으로 전력계통에 연계하여 운전하고 있다. 특히 스페인의 경우 풍력발전기의 발전량을 예측하는 시스템을 개발하여 풍력발전량의 간헐적인 출력 특성을 보완하고 이용 효율을 향상시킬 수 있도록 다른 발전설비와 연계하여 전력계통을 운영하고 있으며, 풍력발전량을 고려한 예비력을 산정함으로써 경제적이고 안정적인 전력계통을 유지하고 있다. 또한 풍력발전기의 간헐적인 출력 특성을 보완하기 위해 에너지저장장치와의 협조 운영 가능한 시스템을 구축하는 사례가 증가하고 있으며 우리나라의 제주 스마트그리드 실증사업의 Smart Renewable이 이와 같은 경우라 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 기계학습이론 중 하나인 SVR을 이용한 풍력발전량 예측 시스템을 개발에 대해 기술하였으며, 행원14호기의 풍력발전량 이력데이터를 이용하여 풍력발전량 예측을 수행하였다.

  • In a previous paper, ambient vibration tests were conducted on a cable stayed bridge with resilient-friction base isolation systems (R-FBI) to extract the dynamic characteristics of the bridge and compare the results with a seismic analysis model. In this paper, a nonlinear seismic analysis model was established for analysis of the bridge to compare the difference in seismic responses between nonlinear time history analysis and multi-mode spectral analysis methods in the seismic design phase of cable supported bridges. Through these studies, it was confirmed that the seismic design procedures of the "Korean Highway Bridge Design Code (Limit State Design) for Cable Supported Bridges" is not suitable for cable supported bridges installed with R-FBI. Therefore, to reflect the actual dynamic characteristics of the R-FBI installed on cable-supported bridges, an improved seismic design procedure is proposed that applies the seismic analysis method differently depending on the seismic isolation effect of the R-FBI for each seismic performance level.

Damage identification of belt conveyor support structure using periodic and isolated local vibration modes

  • Due to corrosion, a large number of belt conveyors support structure in industrial plants have deteriorated. Severe corrosion may result in collapse of the structures. Therefore, practical and effective structural assessment techniques are needed. In this paper, damage identification methods based on two specific local vibration modes, named periodic and isolated local vibration modes, are proposed. The identification methods utilize the facts that support structures have many identical members repeated along the belt conveyor and there exist some local modes within a small frequency range where vibrations of these identical members are much larger than those of the other members. When one of these identical members is damaged, this member no longer vibrates in those modes. Instead, the member vibrates alone in an isolated mode with a lower frequency. A damage identification method based on frequencies comparison of these vibration modes and another method based on amplitude comparison of the periodic local vibration mode are explained. These methods do not require the baseline measurement records of undamaged structure. The methods is capable of detecting multiple damages simultaneously. The applicability of the methods is experimentally validated with a laboratory model and a real belt-conveyor support structure.

Indirect displacement monitoring of high-speed railway box girders consider bending and torsion coupling effects

  • The dynamic displacement is considered to be an important indicator of structural safety, and becomes an indispensable part of Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) system for high-speed railway bridges. This paper proposes an indirect strain based dynamic displacement reconstruction methodology for high-speed railway box girders. For the typical box girders under eccentric train load, the plane section assumption and elementary beam theory is no longer applicable due to the bend-torsion coupling effects. The monitored strain was decoupled into bend and torsion induced strain, pre-trained multi-output support vector regression (M-SVR) model was employed for such decoupling process considering the sensor layout cost and reconstruction accuracy. The decoupled strained based displacement could be reconstructed respectively using box girder plate element analysis and mode superposition principle. For the transformation modal matrix has a significant impact on the reconstructed displacement accuracy, the modal order would be optimized using particle swarm algorithm (PSO), aiming to minimize the ill conditioned degree of transformation modal matrix and the displacement reconstruction error. Numerical simulation and dynamic load testing results show that the reconstructed displacement was in good agreement with the simulated or measured results, which verifies the validity and accuracy of the algorithm proposed in this paper.

  • Despite the same system architecture and operation principle, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and Internet of Things (IoT) are recognized as a heterogeneous system. This is due to the different object modeling and communication protocols used in smart meters and sensors. However, data interworking between AMI and IoT is expected to be inevitable in the future. In this paper, we propose Device Language Message Specification (DLMS) to Lightweight Machine to Machine (LwM2M) conversion model. The proposed interworking model can reduce the packet size by 46.5% compared to that of the encapsulation method.

Production of Polyphenols and Flavonoids and Anti-Oxidant Effects of Lactic Acid Bacteria of Fermented Deer Antler Extract

  • The deer antler has been used as a major drug in oriental medicine for a long time. Recently, the demand for easy-to-take health functional foods is increasing due to economic development and changes in diet. As part of research on the development of functional materials for antlers, lactic acid fermentation of antler extract was performed. It was intended to develop a functional material with enhanced total polyphenol and flavonoid content and enhanced antioxidant activity. Lactic acid bacteria fermentation was performed by adding 4 types of lactic acid bacteria starter products, B. longum, Lb. Plantarum, Lb. acidophilus and mixture of 8 types of lactic acid bacteria to the antler water extract substrate, respectively. During the fermentation of lactic acid bacteria, the number of proliferation, total polyphenol and total flavonoid content, DPPH radical scavenging and antioxidant activity were quantified and evaluated. As a result of adding these four types of lactic acid bacteria to the antler water extract substrate, the number of lactic acid bacteria measured was 2.04~5.00×107. Meanwhile, a protease (Baciullus amyloliquefaciens culture: Maxazyme NNP DS) was added to the antler extract to decompose the peptide bonds of the contained proteins. Then, these four types of lactic acid bacteria were added and the number of lactic acid bacteria increased to 2.84×107 ~ 2.21×108 as the result of culture. The total polyphenol contents were 4.82~6.26 ㎍/mL in the lactic acid bacteria fermentation extracts, and after the reaction of protease enzyme and lactic fermentation, increased to 14.27~20.58 ㎍/mL. The total flavonoid contents were 1.52~2.21 ㎍/ml in the lactic acid bacteria fermentation extracts, and after the protease reaction and fermentation, increased to 5.59 ~ 8.11 mg/mL. DPPH radical scavenging activities of lactic acid bacteria fermentation extracts was 17.03~22.75%, but after the protease reaction and fermentation, remarkably increased to 32.82~42.90%.

  • This paper clarifies the change in international technology standardization as a change in innovation. The change comes to be shown in how to take the consensus standard. The tendency to standardize the systematized concept is a rather arduous and complex endeavor. This paper focuses on Mitsubishi Electric Corporation as such a case. The results interpreted from the approach of closed innovation, open innovation, and social innovation. The following findings are clarified by. 1) The consensus standardization is open innovation in which the enterprise creates value. 2) When the value creation is large, the possibility of the maximization of such value capture that achieves the earnings acquisition can be improved. 3. The innovation of the consensus standardization is reciprocal for the stakeholder. The possibility for open and social innovation to supplement the success in innovation mutual and to achieve an effect is suggested.

  • 최근 개인의 정보보호에 관한 관심이 높아져 가고 있으며 자신의 정보보호를 위해 스마트카드가 사용되어지고 있는 추세이다. 기존의 스마트카드는 카드 주체를 확인하는 과정으로 PIN(Personal Identity number) 제출을 요구한다. 본 논문에서 이러한 사용자의 확인 과정에 사용되는 PIN 대신 생체인식 중 서명을 스마트카드에 저장하였으며 이를 이용하여 사용자 인증을 위한 시스템에 대해 연구하였다. 본 논문은 스마트카드의 패스워드의 분실이나 강제에 의한 도용을 방지하고 사용자에 좀더 익숙하고 안전한 서비스를 보장 받게 될 것이다.

  • In this paper, we propose a simple one-click marketing solution for mobile devices which can advertise a product which is embedded in a mobile video while watching the video on a smartphone. If a specific product of interest appears in the video to the user, one can simply click on the product in the video and a pop-up window with information about the product is proposed. The implementation of the system is expected to enable users to gain real-time information about the product while watching the video without having to search for the product again after watching the movie, and thereby facilitating more mobile commerce. We use a two-fold system to prevent the failure of tracking which often occurs on a single online tracking system, so that the user cannot always get the commercial product information.
