Recently, many problems are occurring in the bee ecosystem due to rapid climate change. The decline in the bee population and changes in the flowering period are having a huge impact on the harvest of bee-keepers. Since it is impossible to continuously observe the beehives in the hive with the naked eye, most people rely on knowledge based on experience about the state of the hive.Therefore, interest is focused on smart beekeeping incorporating IoT technology. In particular, with regard to swarming, which is one of the most important parts of beekeeping, we know empirically that the swarming time can be determined by the sound of the queen bee, but there is no way to systematically analyze this with data.You may think that it can be done by simply recording the sound of the queen bee and analyzing it, but it does not solve various problems such as various noise issues around the hive and the inability to continuously record.In this study, we developed a system that records queen bee sounds in a real-time cloud system and analyzes sound patterns.After receiving real-time analog sound from the hive through multiple channels and converting it to digital, a sound pattern that was continuously output in the queen bee sound frequency band was discovered. By accessing the cloud system, you can monitor sounds around the hive, temperature/humidity inside the hive, weight, and internal movement data.The system developed in this study made it possible to analyze the sound patterns of the queen bee and learn about the situation inside the hive. Through this, it will be possible to predict the swarming period of bees or provide information to control the swarming period.

The purpose of this study is to find out the development direction of adult learners' blended learning class as a study on the class satisfaction of adult college students according to the blended learning class participation type. To this end, a survey was conducted targeting adult learners at two schools that are carrying out the LiFE project (lifelong education system support project). The analyzed research results are as follows. First, in the case of adult learners, the proportion of participating in liberal arts + major classes as a blended learning subject was 77.8%, and home was the highest with 69.8% as a place to participate in online classes. Second, satisfaction with the blended learning teacher/instructor teaching method was generally satisfied with 95.2% of average or higher. Third, 96.8% of the students answered 'yes' or higher regarding the level of satisfaction with the blended learning method. The above research results show that blended learning is one of the important teaching and learning methods in providing adult-tailored education to adult learners who combine work and study. It can be seen that the blended learning teaching method is an effective teaching method that enables interactive communication between the instructor and the learner rather than the one-way teaching-oriented content delivery class of the traditional classroom.
The purpose of this study is to determine how the use of retailtech technology affects consumers' purchase intention. Furthermore, this study aims to investigate the mediating effects of technology usefulness and ease of use on this influence relationship and whether experiential marketing moderates consumers' purchase intention. The survey was conducted from August 1, 2023 to September 30, 2023, and a total of 257 people participated in the study. For statistical analysis, hierarchical regression analysis, three-stage mediation regression analysis, and hierarchical three-stage controlled regression analysis were conducted to test the hypothesis. The results of the study are as follows. First, it was confirmed that big data-AI utilization, mobile-SNS utilization, live commerce utilization, and IoT utilization affect purchase intention in retail technology utilization. Second, technology usefulness has a mediating effect on IoT utilization, mobile-SNS utilization, and big data-AI utilization. Third, perceived ease of use of technology mediated the effects of IoT utilization, mobile-SNS utilization, live-commerce utilization, and big data-AI utilization. Fourth, escapist experience has a moderating effect on mobile SNS utilization and live commerce utilization. Fifth, esthetic experience has a moderating effect on mobile-SNS utilization and big data-AI utilization. Through this study, we hope that the domestic distribution industry will contribute to national competitiveness by securing the competitive advantage of companies by utilizing new technologies in entering the global market.
Under ubiquitous work environment, innovative changes occur in work process with ICT. The work process for collaboration through mobile devices and network should be investigated. The research model consists of two major antecedents: autonomy and interdependence as a task characteristic and job satisfaction as ultimate consequence followed by work design theory. To elaborate work design theory, smartwork application (app) use, communication extent, and work-life balance were reviewed from the literature. Data were collected from three ICT firms, which adopted certain smartwork app, and a partial least squares analysis was made on 175 data points. The analysis results show that task interdependence exerts a statistically significant effect on the level of smartwork app usage. Communication extent directly affects job satisfaction and work-life balance. The remarkable point is that smartwork app usage does not affect employees' work-life balance; the former can only affect the latter indirectly by increasing communication extent. This study attempts to explain the organizational impact by considering smartwork app and the effects simultaneously. We proposed and empirically tested the extended work design theory including information technology and its environment. Based on the results, other theoretical and practical contributions are discussed at the end with limitations and further studies.

As AR display virtual technology enters public learning life extensively, the way in which reality and virtual connection are connected is also changing. The purpose of this paper is to study the expression between the 3D connection sensory information visualization experience and virtual reality enhancement through the visual direction sensory information visualization experience of the plane. It is analyzed by examining the basic setting method compared to the current application of AR display and flat visualization cases. The scope of this paper is to enable users to have a better experience through the relationship with sensory visualization, centering on eye tracking technology in the four categories of AR display connection design: gesture connection, eye tracking, voice connection, and sensor. Focusing on eye tracking technology through AR display interaction and current application and comparative analysis of flat visualization cases, the geometric consistency of visual figures, light and color consistency, combination of multi-sensory interaction methods, rational content display, and smart push presented sensory visualization in virtual reality more realistically and conveniently, providing a simple and convenient sensory visualization experience to the audience.

The purpose of this study is to examine the limitations of university operating system changes as a result of the policy changes and outcomes of the university lifelong education system support project by project period, and based on this, to propose a development plan to support the university's adult learning system. In this study, we sought to investigate changes in the higher education environment and changes in lifelong education in universities through analysis of literature and various data. The changing times of technological innovation and changes in knowledge require continuous learning even after school education, and the need for re-education and improved education is increasing. Therefore, the Ministry of Education and the National Institute for Lifelong Education have been actively carrying out support projects for lifelong learning-centered universities since 2008 to provide adult learners with opportunities to study. This project is centered around universities and the local community, and is promoting various types of changes in educational operation, such as reforming the university's academic system to be adult-friendly and operating night or weekend classes in order to provide educational opportunities for adult learners. Now, universities must play a role as a hub of regional lifelong education for the coexistence of the region and university, and as a key institution responsible for the contemporary tasks of sustainable development and coexistence between the university and the community.

Through the development of construction technology, various construction projects such as redevelopment projects, undergrounding of roads, expansion of subways, and metro railways are being carried out. However, this has led to an increase in the number of construction projects in existing urban centers and neighborhoods, resulting in an increase in the number of damages and disputes between neighboring buildings and residents, as well as an increase in safety accidents due to the aging of existing buildings. In this study, digital data was applied to a graphics program to objectify the progress of cracks by comparing the creation of cracks and the increase in length and width through photographic images and presenting the degree of cracks numerically. Through the application of the program, the error caused by the subjective judgment of crack change, which was mentioned as a shortcoming of the existing field survey, was solved. It is expected that the program can be used universally in the building diagnosis process by improving its reliability if supplemented and improved in the process of use. As a follow-up study, it is necessary to apply the extraction algorithm of the digital graphic data program to calculate the length and width of the crack by itself without human intervention in the preprocessing work and to check the overall change of the building.

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) plays a pivotal role in predicting the potential environmental impacts of proposed developments and planning appropriate mitigation measures to minimize effects on species. However, as concerns over biodiversity loss rise, there's ongoing debate about the efficacy of these mitigation plans. In this study, we utilized data from EIAs and post-environmental impact surveys to understand the trends in biodiversity during construction and operation phases. By examining 30 urban development projects, we categorized species richness indices of mammals, birds, amphibians, and reptiles into pre-construction, during construction, and post-construction operational stages. The biodiversity trends were analyzed based on the rate of change in these indices. The results revealed three distinct biodiversity change patterns: (A) An initial increase in biodiversity indices post-development, followed by a gradual decline over time; (B) a sustained increase in biodiversity as a result of mitigation measures; and (C) a continuous decline in biodiversity post-development. Furthermore, all species exhibited a higher rate of biodiversity decline during the construction phase compared to the operational phase, with mammals showing the most significant rate of change. Notably, the biodiversity change rate during operation was generally lower than during construction. In particular, mammals seemed to be most influenced by mitigation measures, displaying the smallest rate of change. This study provides empirical evidence on the efficacy of mitigation measures and deliberates on ways to enhance their effectiveness in minimizing the adverse impacts of urban development on biodiversity. These findings can serve as foundational data for addressing terrestrial biodiversity reduction.

The purpose of this study is to determine how satisfied adult learners are with school life when transitioning back to social life after obtaining a college degree, and to seek ways to improve education through analysis of future educational needs. Suggestions for the results are as follows. First, programs to improve adult learners' basic learning abilities must be continuously supported. As a result of the survey on satisfaction with the basic learning ability improvement program, 92% of respondents responded above average, so continued support for basic learning programs is required to help adult learners make up for their academic gap. Second, in the case of club activities and major certificate acquisition programs, the response rate was above average at 92%, indicating that students were overall satisfied with their school life. Third, there is a continued need for expanded application of classes that combine field practice in the subject area. Fourth, the development of liberal arts education subjects that reflect social needs is continuously required. Fifth, substantial operation of field experience programs is necessary. Junior colleges are higher education institutions that train experts. In order to cultivate practical talents who are closely related to the field after graduation, future field experience programs are required to be operated to help with major jobs.

Concrete arch dams, unlike conventional concrete gravity dams, have thin arch-shaped cross sections and must be designed considering a three-dimensional shape. In particular, double-curvature arch dams, which have arch-shaped vertical and horizontal sections, require careful consideration during design due to their unique shape. Although stress analysis is complex, and various factors need to be considered during the design, these dams offer economic advantages as they require less material. Consequently, numerous double-curvature arch dams have been constructed worldwide, and ongoing research focuses on optimizing their shapes. In this study, an efficient optimization algorithm was developed for the shape optimization of concrete arch dams with double-curvature using genetic algorithms and improved population initializing technique. The developed technique utilized domain knowledge in the field of arch dams to generate an excellent initial population. To assess the relevance of domain knowledge, an investigation was conducted on the accumulated knowledge and empirical formulas from literature. Two pieces of domain knowledge can be gleaned from the iterative structural design experiences associated with arch dams. First, it concerns the thickness of the central cantilever of an arch dam. For minimum tensile stress, it is best to make the thickness as thin as possible at the dam crest and gradually become thicker as it goes down. The second aspect concerns the sliding stability of the arch dam, which depends on the central angle of the horizontal section. This angel is important for stability because the plane arch serves to transfer the hydraulic load from the reservoir to both abutments. Also, preliminary design formulas for arch dams from a manual written by the United States Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) were used. On the other hand, since domain knowledge is based on engineering experiences and data from existing dams, its usability should be verified by comparing it with the results of design optimization performed by classic genetic algorithms. To validate the performance of the optimization algorithm with the improved population initialization technique, a test site with an existing dam was selected, and algorithmic application tests were conducted. Stress analysis is performed for each design iteration, evaluating constraints and calculating fitness as the objective function. The results confirmed that the algorithm developed in this study exhibits superior performance in terms of average fitness and convergence rate compared to classic genetic algorithms.
