  • A smart phone subscriber needs wide bandwidth services for more fast data communication on the internet. The conventional MIMO system is now developing to resolve these problems with limited device space for antenna and frequency band environment reserved. One of way to make it practically is to add the number of antennas theoretically. But it is difficult to increase the antenna element as a limited space on the system. Therefore an active beam forming scheme is known as a way of constructing a Compact MIMO system for that. In this paper, the fast switching control block was suggested to adjust a reactance of the antenna element and verified experimentally the effects by switching signal on an orthogonal beam forming through a spatial domain.

  • Blockchain technology can provide a high level security based on a decentralized distributed ledger and consensus-based structure. In order to increase the utilization of blockchain technology, it is necessary to find a way to use it in fields that require personal data processing such as health care and e-commerce. To achieve this goal, the blockchain based system should be able to comply with data privacy regulations represented by European Union(EU)'s GDPR(General Data Protection Regulation). However, because of the properties of the blockchain like the immutability and decentralized recorded data, it is difficult to technically implement the requirements of the existing privacy regulations on the blockchain. In this paper, we propose a multi-chain based access control system that can guarantee the rights of the personal data subject required by GDPR by utilizing Chameleon Hash and Attribute Based Encryption (ABE). Finally, we will show through security analysis that our system can handle personal data while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.

  • Recently, an increasing number of cutting-edged studies have shown that designing a smart active control for real-time implementation requires piles of hard-work criteria in the design process, including performance controllers to reduce the tracking errors and tolerance to external interference and measure system disturbed perturbations. This article proposes an effective artificial-intelligence method using these rigorous criteria, which can be translated into general control plants for the management of civil engineering installations. To facilitate the calculation, an efficient solution process based on linear matrix (LMI) inequality has been introduced to verify the relevance of the proposed method, and extensive simulators have been carried out for the numerical constructive model in the seismic stimulation of the active rigidity. Additionally, a fuzzy model of the neural network based system (NN) is developed using an interconnected method for LDI (linear differential) representation determined for arbitrary dynamics. This expression is constructed with a nonlinear sector which converts the nonlinear model into a multiple linear deformation of the linear model and a new state sufficient to guarantee the asymptomatic stability of the Lyapunov function of the linear matrix inequality. In the control design, we incorporated H Infinity optimized development algorithm and performance analysis stability. Finally, there is a numerical practical example with simulations to show the results. The implication results in the RMS response with as well as without tuned mass damper (TMD) of the benchmark building under the external excitation, the El-Centro Earthquake, in which it also showed the simulation using evolved bat algorithmic LMI fuzzy controllers in term of RMS in acceleration and displacement of the building.

  • The domastic hard shoulder running(HSR) System has been gradually expanding since its initial implementation in September 2007 with the aim of increasing capacity and resolving congestion. Hard Shoulder is used as a space for driver's visual comfort and a place for vehicles to evacuate in case of emergency, but it is replaced by a space for driving when the HSR System is implemented. Therefore, it was intended to determine the improvement effect before and after implementation of the HSR system through safety analysis and mobility analysis. The safety analysis analyzed the impact of traffic accidents by comparing HSR sections and similar sections. The mobility analysis was to determine the improvement effect by quantifying the speed and traffic volume changes before and after HSR System implementation. According to safety yanalysis, there is no effect of reducing traffic accidents when implementing the HSR System. In mobility analysis, the implementation of the HSR System significantly improved the speed of traffic during peak hours and significantly reduces slow and delay hours.

  • Plant defense systems against pathogens have been studied extensively and are currently a hot topic in plant science. Using a reverse genetics technique, this study looked into the involvement of the NO-downregulated NAD(P)-binding Rossmann-fold superfamily gene in plant growth and defense in Arabidopsis thaliana. For this purpose, the knockout and overexpressing plant of the candidate gene along with the relevant controls were exposed to control, oxidative and nitro-oxidative stresses. The results showed that candidate gene negatively regulates plants' root and shoot lengths. To investigate the role of the candidate gene in plant basal defense, R-gene-mediated resistance and systemic acquired resistance (SAR) plants were challenged with virulent or avirulent strains of Pseudomonas syringae pathovar tomato (Psf) DC3000. The results showed that the candidate gene negatively regulates plants' basal defense, R-gene-mediated resistance and SAR. Further characterization via GO analysis associated the candidate gene with metabolic and cellular processes and response to light stimulus, nucleotide binding and cellular location in the cytosol and nucleus. Protein structure analysis indicated the presence of a canonical Oxidoreductase family NAD (P)-binding Rossmann fold domain of 120 amino acids with a total of 121 plant homologs across 35 different plant species in the clad streptophyta. Arabidopsis eFP browser showed its expression in almost all the above-ground parts. Protein analysis indicated C225 and C359 as potential targets for S-Nitrosylation by NO. SMART analysis indicated possible interactions with mevalonate/galactokinase, galacturonic acid kinase, arabinose kinase, putative xylulose kinase, GroES-like zinc-binding alcohol dehydrogenase and various glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenases.

  • Far-infrared rays (FIR) are known to have various effects on atoms and molecular structures within cells owing to their radiation and vibration frequencies. The present study examined the effects of FIR on gene expression related to glucose transport through microarray analysis in rat skeletal muscle cells, as well as on mitochondrial biogenesis, at high and low glucose conditions. FIR were emitted from a bio-active material coated fabric (BMCF). L6 cells were treated with 30% BMCF for 24 h in medium containing 25 or 5.5 mM glucose, and changes in the expression of glucose transporter genes were determined. The expression of GLUT3 (Slc2a3) increased 2.0-fold (p < 0.05) under 5.5 mM glucose and 30% BMCF. In addition, mitochondrial oxygen consumption and membrane potential (ΔΨm) increased 1.5- and 3.4-fold (p < 0.05 and p < 0.001), respectively, but no significant change in expression of Pgc-1a, a regulator of mitochondrial biogenesis, was observed in 24 h. To analyze the relationship between GLUT3 expression and mitochondrial biogenesis under FIR, GLUT3 was down-modulated by siRNA for 72 h. As a result, the ΔΨm of the GLUT3 siRNA-treated cells increased 3.0-fold (p < 0.001), whereas that of the control group increased 4.6-fold (p < 0.001). Moreover, Pgc-1a expression increased upon 30% BMCF treatment for 72 h; an effect that was more pronounced in the presence of GLUT3. These results suggest that FIR may hold therapeutic potential for improving glucose metabolism and mitochondrial function in metabolic diseases associated with insufficient glucose supply, such as type 2 diabetes.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify acceptance factors and influencing factors of respondents' adoption of smart IoT technology to companion animal health based on the integrated technology acceptance model. Based on the previous studies, we constructed the hypotheses by defining the technical factors, social factors, control variables, and mediating variables (UTAUT), and set the hypotheses between the independent variables of each factor and the dependent intention. A research model was designed to verify the relationship between variables. We developed questionnaires on the items and verified them through data collected from 494 people. As a result, product design, quality of service, product performance, and quality service of technological factors had a significant effects on performance expectancy and effort expectancy. However, product safety, product function awareness, and product price did not significantly affect performance expectancy and effort expectancy. Social influence had significant effects on cognitive effect, welfare system, and welfare facilities. In conclusion, the comparative analysis of technical factors and social factors showed that social factors have more significant effects on welfare systems and facilities.

  • The power delivery is crucial to designing agricultural machinery. Therefore, the tractor-mounted potato harvester was used in this study to conduct the field experiment and analyze the power delivery for each step. This study was focused on an analysis of power delivery from the engine to the hydraulic components for the tractor-mounted harvester during potato harvesting. Finally, the simulation model of a self-propelled potato harvester was developed and validated using the experimental dataset of the tractor-mounted potato harvester. The power delivery analysis showed that approximately 90.22% of the engine power was used as traction power to drive the tractor-mounted harvester, and only 5.10% of the engine power was used for the entire hydraulic system of the tractor and operated the harvester. The statistical analysis of the simulation and experimental results showed that the coefficient of determinations (R2) ranged from 0.80 to 0.96, which indicates that the simulation model was performed with an accuracy of over 80%. The regression models were correlated linearly with the simulation and experimental results. Therefore, we believe that this study could contribute to the design methodology and performance test procedure of agricultural machinery. This basic study would be helpful in the design of a self-propelled potato harvester.

  • This study was conducted using text mining and network theory to extract useful information for application for occupancy and performance of permit tasks contained in the permit contents from the permit register, which is used only for the simple purpose of recording occupancy permit information. Based on text mining, we analyzed and compared the frequency of vocabulary occurrence and topic modeling in five regions, including Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gyeongsang, Jeolla, Chungcheong, and Gangwon, as well as normalization processes such as stopword removal and morpheme analysis. By applying four types of centrality algorithms, including stage, proximity, mediation, and eigenvector, which are widely used in network theory, we looked at keywords that are in a central position or act as an intermediary in the network. Through a comprehensive analysis of vocabulary appearance frequency, topic modeling, and network centrality, it was found that the 'installation' keyword was the most influential in all regions. This is believed to be the result of the Ministry of Environment's permit management office issuing many permits for constructing facilities or installing structures. In addition, it was found that keywords related to road facilities, flood control facilities, underground facilities, power/communication facilities, sports/park facilities, etc. were at a central position or played a role as an intermediary in topic modeling and networks. Most of the keywords appeared to have a Zipf's law statistical distribution with low frequency of occurrence and low distribution ratio.

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of concurrent appointment as a director on the quality of the internal accounting management system (IACS). For analysis, 9,343 KOSPI & KOSDAQ company-year data from 2014-2019, excluding the financial industry, were used. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the quality of IACS decreased as the number of multiple positions in the director increased. Although there is a difference in the roles of inside and outside directors, it was found that the quality of IACS decreases equally as the number of board members. According to the business hypothesis, this can be said to be the result of the agency problem within the company because directors, who were more busy with concurrent positions as directors, did not put sufficient effort into their work. This study suggests that information on the concurrent position of directors can be a new indicator that reflects the characteristics of the board in evaluating the effectiveness of corporate governance.
