  • 에너지 소비량은 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 반면 사용가능한 부존자원은 한정되어 있어 전 세계적으로 에너지 위기가 심화되고 있다. 화석연료 고갈 및 에너지 생산으로 인한 환경오염 문제를 해소하기 위하여 새로운 방식의 에너지 생산 기술 개발이 요구되고 있으며, 소수력, 지열, 태양열 광, 풍력, 바이오매스 등의 신재생 에너지기술이 이미 개발되었거나 활발히 연구되고 있다. 최근 지구상에 풍부하게 존재하는 해수와 담수를 이용하여 에너지를 생산하는 염도차 발전이 관심을 얻고 있으며, 그 중에 대표적인 공정이 압력지연삼투(Pressure retarded osmosis, PRO)이다. 압력지연삼투는 에너지 생산 시 이산화탄소 배출이 없고 외부 환경요인으로 인한 제약이 적다는 장점이 있으나, 전용막 및 최적화 기술의 부재로 인해 아직 상용화 단계에 이르지 못 하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 압력지연삼투 기술의 현황과 한계를 다양한 측면에서 분석해보고, 이를 통해 압력지연삼투의 기술 개발 방향에 대해 논의해보고자 한다.

  • These days, the use of alternative energy is recognized as one of countermeasures to rising oil prices and climate-change agreements. Especially, it is regarded as a main element to realize 'Low-Carbon Green Growth', one of the key policies of MB government. However, though alternative energy, renewable energy, is a main policy issue of the present administration, there are many problems to solve: the lack of recognition of its energy, the low level of its technology, its expert's shortage, and its limited application fields. Therefore, to stimulate the use of alternative energy in Korea and to change the recognition of this energy, it is needed to utilize it to urban street furniture that many people visit and use. In particular, if alternative energy is first applied to street furniture that needs energy for its management, the effect of publicity and energy saving will be so great. In this study, for the basic research to introduce and promote various alternative energy sources such as solar power, wind power, small hydro power, and human power, we analyzed the present condition of development of Korean and foreign street furniture items. Furthermore, we evaluated the level of development of these street furniture products and the design types of them and from these evaluations suggested the design direction that can solve problems in development and improve the possibility of application of these energy sources to these street furniture items. Through these analyses, this study aims to enhance the image of future environment-friendly city and make new index for the application of alternative energy.

1999년 4월부터 2000년 6월까지 황해 덕적도에서 관찰된 대기오염물질 변화 특성 (Air Pollutant Variations Observed at Deokjeok Island in the Yellow Sea During April 1999 to June 2000)

  • Sulfur dioxide (SO$_2$), ozone, total suspended particulates (TSP) and PM$_{2.5}$ were measured at Deokjeok Island in the Yellow Sea during April 1999 to June 2000. Although the emission amount of air pollutants is quite low in this small island of 36 km$^2$ with 1.4 thousand inhabitants, there are pollutant sources such as an oil -firing power plant and a wharf for ferryboat. The island is also influenced from the emissions from the greater Seoul area in the east and from China in the west. In order to characterize the pollutant variations due to interactions between transport and local emissions. the correlation between variations of SO$_2$ and ozone was investigated. Mass and ion concentrations of TSP and PM$_{2.5}$ were examined on selected episode days of positive and negative correlations between the two gaseous species in spring and winter. The effects of transport were pronounced on the days of positive correlation in spring with higher concentrations of ozone and PM$_{2.5}$. TSP concentrations were also high on these days because of high wind speeds. On the days of negative correlation in spring, frequent fog associated with low wind speeds facilitated SO$_2$ oxidation and increased sulfate accompanied with decrease in nitrate in PM$_{2.5}$ and chloride in TSP. This latter phenomena was noticeable since it showed that chemical composition of fine particles could be significantly altered not only during the transport but also by local environment.ronment.

  • ;The Kwinana Shoreline Fumigation Experiment(KSFE) took place in Fremantle, WA, Australia between 23 January and 8 February, 1995. All measurement systems performed to expectation. The CSIRO DAR(Division of Atmospheric Research) LIDAR measured plume sections from near the Kwinana Power Station(KPS) stacks to up to about 5 km downstream. It also measured boundary layer aerosols and the structure of the boundary layer on some occasions. Both stages A and C of KPS were used as tracers at different times. Radiosonde and double theodolite sounding systems measured temperature, humidity, air pressure and wind structure at the coast(Woodman Point) and at the inland(ALCOA residue dump) site at intervals of roughly two hours. These were supplemented by mid afternoon soundings(radiosonde and single theodolite) by Department of Environmental Protection(DEP) at Swanbourne. The Flinders aircraft measured wind, turbulence and temperature structure of the atmospheric boundary layer, concentrations of $C0_2,\;0_3,\;S0_2\;and\;NO_x$ in the smoke plumes and surface radiation over both land and sea. CSIRO DCET(Division of Coal and Energy Technology) vehicle successfully interceptde many smoke plumes and using a range of tracers will be able to identify the various sources much of the time. Routine data from the DEP and Kwinana Industrial Council(KIC) air quality monitoring networks were also automatically logged. Murdoch University measured surface heat flux at Hope Valldy monitoring station and also at Wattleup monitoring station for the last five days. The heart of the LIDAR system is a Neodymium-doped Yttrium-aluminumgarnet(Nd:Y AG) laser operating at a fundamental wavelength of 1064 nm, with harmonics fo 532 nm and 355 nm. A small fraction of the laser beam is scattered back to the LIDAR, collected by a telescope and detedted by a photomultiplier tube. The intensity of the signal as a function of time is a measure of the particle concentration as a function of distance along the line of the laser shot. The results of nine days special field observations are summarized in detail.etail.

서남해에서 해상풍력구조물의 건설에 의한 해저지형의 변화예측 (Prediction of Seabed Topography Change Due to Construction of Offshore Wind Power Structures in the West-Southern Sea of Korea)

  • 서남해에서 해상풍력구조물의 건설에 따른 해저지형변화를 예측하기 위하여, 조석, 조류, 부유사 그리고 해저질 등에 대한 현장조사를 수행하였고, 이들 자료를 수치실험에 활용될 수 있도록 하였다. 수치실험에서 표사량 산정은 관련 상수를 시행착오적으로 변화시켜 관측된 부유사농도에 대해 계산치의 오차가 적당할 때에 경험상수들을 결정하는 방법을 사용하였는데, 어떤 농도분포인자가 0.1 그리고 부유사 평형농도 공식의 비례상수가 0.05일 때, 관측치와 계산치가 합리적으로 유사하였다. 부유사농도에 관한 개경계조건은 관측된 부유사농도에 대해 남동측 경계점에서 11.0배, 남서측 경계점에서 0.5배, 서북측 경계점에서 1.0배, 북서측 경계점에서 1.0배 그리고 북동측 경계점에서 1.0배이었을 때, 개경계와 서로 인접한 계산영역 내의 수심변화 계산결과가 단속적이지 않고 매끄럽게 나타났다. 그리고 연간침식퇴적량은 해상풍력 구조물의 건설전후에 대하여 그 변화가 ± 1 cm 이상 발생하는 해역은 거의 나타나지 않았는데, 사용된 대격자 수치모형은 세굴과 같은 국지적 현상을 재현할 수 없고, 해상풍력 하부구조물이 직경 1 m 정도의 자켓타입의 투과식이어서 이들에 의하여 ± 2 cm/s 이상의 유의미한 유속변화역이 거의 나타나지 않았기 때문에, 해저지형변화가 미미한 것은 당연한 결과인 것으로 판단되었다.

분산전원이 연계된 배전선로의 운영시스템 설계 (Operation System Design of Distribution Feeder with Distributed Energy Resources)

  • 전통적으로 전력시스템은 공급체계의 말단에 있는 소비자의 위치에서 보면 중앙집중화된 구조를 갖고 있다. 그러나 최근 수 십년간 지붕형 태양광, 영농형 태양광, 소형 풍력터빈, 배터리저장장치 및 스마트 가전품과 같은 분산에너지원의 등장을 보아왔다. 분산에너지원의 등장에 따라 배전계통 운전원의 역할도 확장된다. 확장된 분산전원의 진출은 배전망이나 송전망의 전통적인 계획과 운영에 영향을 주는 전력계통의 역조류와 예측성을 어렵게 할 수 있다. 이는 전형적인 계통계획, 정비 및 망관리, 정전할당 등 배전계통 운전원이 갖는 기능이 변경되어야 할 필요성을 증폭시킨다. 이 연구의 목적은 다중 분산전원을 갖는 미래 배전운전시스템을 설계하고 제안된 배전시스템 모델을 HILS로 구현 및 검증하는 것이다. 시험결과를 보면 제안된 배전시스템이 정상 영역에서 운전되고 배전선로 손실이 감소된다는 것을 보여준다.

IEC 61850 프로토콜의 배전자동화시스템에 사용을 위한 배전시뮬레이터 개발과 시뮬레이션 결과에 관한 연구 (A study on the development of distribution simulator and simulation results for use in distribution automation system of IEC 61850 protocol)

  • 신재생에너지 확대를 위한 배전자동화시스템의 안정성 평가를 위한 연구이다. 정부는 재생에너지 3020 이행계획 정책을 통해 2030년까지 신재생에너지를 확대하여 국민의 삶의 질을 높이는 참여형 에너지 체계로 전환할 계획이다. 정부는 2030년까지 재생에너지 발전량 비중을 국내 보급 에너지의 20%로 목표 설정하였다. 신규 설비용량의 95% 이상을 태양광 풍력 등 청정에너지로 설립할 계획이다. 재생에너지 보급 확대로 에너지 신사업과 분산전원 산업이 육성되어 과거의 대규모 전원 개발이 아닌 근거리, 저압, 소규모 발전이 급속히 확대되었다. 이런 수요로 인해 배전 설비 운영의 중요성이 대두 되었고 배전자동화시스템이 필요성 증대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 배전자동화시스템의 성능 및 기능 평가를 위한 배전시뮬레이터 개발에 대해 다루었고 이와 배전자동화시스템과의 연동시험 결과를 제시한다. 배전계통에 진보된 시스템을 도입하기 위해서는 송변전시스템의 장점을 취해야 한다. 배전시스템에서 DNP3.0프로토콜을 사용하고 송배전시스템에서 IEC61850 프로토콜을 사용한다. 이 두 프로토콜을 배전자동화시스템에서 혼용하여 사용시 제어, 모니터링 등의 운영에 대한 기능과 성능을 충족한다는 결론을 보였다.

신재생에너지에 대한 GIS기반의 정보화전략계획 수립 및 통합관리 시스템 개발 (The Development of the Management System and GIS Based Information Strategy Planning for New Renewable Energy)

  • New renewable energy information becomes one of the greatest issues all over the world because of serious environment problems and limited fossil resources. The new renewable energy source information system is treated seriously for efficient management and distribution as dealing with these energy problems. However, it is difficult to manage and utilize new renewable energy information because gathering and surveying information is progressed individually in each research field. Therefore this paper will establish ISP(Information Strategy Planning) and propose the basic management system based-on GIS to analyze new renewable energy such as solar energy, wind power, small hydro, biomass, geothermal etc. and build the integration management system. The proposed integration management system can provide spatial analysis using thematic map, data search, data import/export and interpolation about users' queries.

Analytical Research of Topside Installation in Mating phase with Crane Vessel

  • The installation of a topside structure can be categorized into the following stages: start, pre-lifting, lifting, lifted, rotating, positioning, lowering, mating, and end of installation. The transfer of the module onto the floating spar hull occurs in the last three stages, from lowering to the end. The coupled multi-body motions are calculated in both calm water and in irregular waves with a significant wave height (1.52m). The effects of the hydrodynamic interactions between the heavy lifting vessel and the spar hull during the lowering and mating stages are considered. The internal forces caused by the load transfer and ballasting are derived for the mating phases. The results of the internal forces for the calm water condition are compared with those in the irregular sea condition. Although the effect of the pitch motion on the relative vertical motion between the deck of the floating structure and the topside module is significant in the mating phases, the internal force induced pitch motion is too small to have this influence. However, the effect of the internal force on the wave-induced heave responses in the mating phases is noticeable in the irregular sea condition because transfer mass-induced draught changes for the floating structure are observed to have higher amplitudes than the external force induced responses. The impacts of the module on the spar hull in the mating phase are investigated.

Dynamic Analysis of Topside Module in Lifting Installation Phase

  • The installation phase for a topside module suggested can be divided into 9 stages, which include start, pre-lifting, lifting, lifted, rotating, positioning, lowering, mating, and end of installation. The transfer of the topside module from a transport barge to a crane vessel takes place in the first three stages, from start to lifting, while the transfer of the module onto a floating spar hull occurs in the last three stages, from lowering to the end.
