Effect of Slide Motion Control and Friction Characteristics on Formability of Ultra High Strength Steel (초고강도강판의 성형성에 미치는 슬라이드 모션 제어와 마찰특성의 영향)

  • Although the application of high strength steel is increasing to cope with the various updated regulations of automobiles, high strength steel sheets are difficult to formulate due to the high tensile strength and low elongation of those materials. In this study, the slide motion was controlled using a servo press in order to improve the formability of the process of manufacturing ultra-high strength steel of above 1.2GPa. Also, the friction characteristics of the slid motion were investigated through a high speed friction test. The slide motion was optimized by adjusting the number of steps, the rising start position and the rise height of the slide. At the same time, it is noted that the optimal slide motion increased the forming depth by about 40%. From the results of the high speed friction test, the application of the slide motion reduces friction resistance, thereby improving friction characteristics and improving formability.

  • CoSlide 협업 시스템은 웹데브 기반의 CoSlide 서버와 윈도우즈 응용프로그램인 CoSpace 클라이언트로 구성된다. CoSlide 서버는 Jakarta Slide 서버의 확장으로 협업시스템 구성원간의 자원 공유를 위한 다양한 종류의 작업장을 지원하며, CoSpace 클라이언트는 CoSlide 서버의 다양한 기술 지원을 사용자 중심의 인터페이스로 제공한다. 협업을 동적으로 지원하기 위해서는 워크플로우 시스템이 필요하다. 워크플로우 시스템은 협업시스템에 등록된 사용자가 워크플로우가 정의된 작업장에 자원을 등록하였을 때 정의된 워크플로우에 따라서 자원의 이동, 복사 그리고 메시지전송 등의 과정을 자동적으로 수행한다. 워크플로우 정의는 XML 파일 형식으로 워크플로우 작업장에 생성되어 존재하며 반응적 워크플로우가 발생하였을 때 XML 파일의 정의에 따라 자동적으로 이뤄진다. 협업 시스템에 워크플로우 시스템을 적용시키면 협업 시스템에 등록된 자원을 수동으로 분류하거나 협업에 필요한 다른 그룹의 특정 사용자에게 수동으로 전송해야 하는 불편함을 없앨 수 있다.

Spatio-Temporal Residual Networks for Slide Transition Detection in Lecture Videos

  • In this paper, we present an approach for detecting slide transitions in lecture videos by introducing the spatio-temporal residual networks. Given a lecture video which records the digital slides, the speaker, and the audience by multiple cameras, our goal is to find keyframes where slide content changes. Since temporal dependency among video frames is important for detecting slide changes, 3D Convolutional Networks has been regarded as an efficient approach to learn the spatio-temporal features in videos. However, 3D ConvNet will cost much training time and need lots of memory. Hence, we utilize ResNet to ease the training of network, which is easy to optimize. Consequently, we present a novel ConvNet architecture based on 3D ConvNet and ResNet for slide transition detection in lecture videos. Experimental results show that the proposed novel ConvNet architecture achieves the better accuracy than other slide progression detection approaches.

  • In the multi-purpose lathe, the design of tilting turret slide system has an important and critical role to enhance the accuracy of the machining process. Tilting turret unit is traveled by 3-axis slide systems. There is a need to design this part very carefully. In this research, the 3-axis slide system with tilting turret unit is modeled and simulated using ADAMS software. The dynamic behavior of this system is visualized by data graphs and dynamic animations. The first step of virtual prototype which makes it possible to design economically and effectively is developed.

  • This paper describes an implementation of the slide-show functionality, which is one of the services that can be provided by the Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB). While the existing analog radio broadcasting services provide audio only, DMB slide-show is the functionality that can deliver still images associated with the audio. For example, it can deliver the photographs of the singer, album cover images, or the lyrics of the song that correspond to the audio. There are two modes for the transmission of the slide-show. Firstly. the program-associated data (PAD) field within the DMB audio frame can be utilized and secondly, the slide-show data can be transmitted, after being multiplexed, with other service data as individual data stream separated from the audio. This paper describes PC-based implementations of a transmitter-side module that inserts slide-show data into the PAD area within audio bitstream and a receiver-side application module that plays the slide-show through decoding the PAD within the received audio bitstream and demonstrates their validity through experiments.

A Successful Slide Cricotracheoplasty in Congenital Cricotracheal Stenosis (선천성 기관-윤상연골 협착에서 성공적으로 시행한 활주 기관-윤상연골 성형술)

  • Slide tracheoplasty. as a treatment for congenital tracheal stenosis, has been recently reported to have good results and quite a number of advantages as compared with conventional tracheoplasties. The aim of this study is to report a new surgical technique modified from the slide tracheoplasty. "the slide cricotracheoplasty" for the congenital cricotracheal stenosis. A girl was born by Cesarean section and the diagnosis of esophageal atresia (Gross type C) and cricotracheal stenosis (30 % of total length of trachea) was established. Esophageal atresia was successfully corrected at the 8th day of life. At the 31st day of life, corrective surgery for congenital cricotracheal stenosis. the slide cricotracheoplasty. was performed with success. Slide cricotracheoplasty is almost the same procedure as slide tracheoplasty except for two technical features. First the cricoid cartilage was split on its anterior surface. Second the split cricoid cartilage was fixed to pre vertebral fascia to maintain enough space to accommodate the sliding caudal segment of trachea because of the stiffness of the cricoid cartilage. We believe that the sliding cricotracheoplasty is a new surgical technique for congenital cricotracheal stenosis that has similar results and advantages as the sliding tracheoplasty.

Simplified modeling of slide-fed curtain coating flow

  • Simplified model of slide-fed curtain coating flow has been developed and tested in this study. It rests on the sheet profile equations for curtain thickness in curtain flow and its trajectory derived by the integral momentum balance approach of Higgins and Scriven (1979) and Kistler (1983). It also draws on the film profile equation of film thickness variation in flow down a slide. The equations have been solved in finite difference approximation by Newton iteration with continuation. The results show that how inertia (Rey­nolds number), surface tension (capillary number), inclination angle of the slide, and air pressure difference across the curtain affect sheet trajectory and thickness profile. It has been revealed that approximate models can be useful to easily analyze coating flow dynamics without complex computations, giving qualitative agreement with full theory and with experiment.

  • A Serological test for Syphilis by VDRL Slide tests were made to find the degree of treponemal infection. For this study sera were collected from 5, 312 Prostitutes of Seoul, Inchun, Euijungbu, Yangzoo, Pajoo and Pyungtaig from November 27, to December 7, 1972 and were examined on the following items. 1. VDRL Slide Qualitative test. 2. VDRL Slide Quantitative test. As the results of this study the following Conclusions were obtained. 1) This test were obtained average reactive 5.92% for 5, 312 prostitutes in Seoul 7.87% for 254 prostitutes, in Iuchun 6.77% for 354 prostitutes, in Euijungbu 6.62% for 740 prostitutes, in Yangjoo 5.82% for 1, 958 prostitutes, in Pajoo 6.08% for 937 prostitutes and in Pyungtaig 4.82% for 1, 069 prostitutes respectively 2) The highest Reagin titer was 1: 32 serum dilution.

  • The under rail slide is the latest device to make accurate rectilinear reciprocating motion. In these day, 3-point type is used mostly for the products requiring high strength and performance such as refrigerator door guide or furniture drawer guide. However, It is all imported from foreign countries due to lack of the roll forming technique to make 3-point type under rail slide in domestic. Therefore, design and manufacturing technology for the 3-point type under rail slide are need to development through systematic study. In this paper, to make center member of 3-point ball-type under rail slide for the refrigerator doors, the roll forming modeling and simulation are performed using Shape-RF software. Tensile test is performed about SCP-1 1/2H for determine the mechanical properties of materials. Interference between the roll and the final shape are predicted from the results of the simulation ; this result show that the desirable performance and usefulness of the designed roll forming process.
