대두(大豆) 성숙중(成熟中) 4 - Desmethyl Sterol의 조성변화(組成變化) (Changes in the 4-Desmethyl Sterol Composition of Soybean Seed and Pod during Maturation)

  • Compositional and quantitative changes of 4-desmethylsterols in soybean (Glycine max. cv. Gangrim) seed and pod at six stages of development from flowering were investigated. The content of 4-desmethyl-, 4-monomethyl- and 4,4-dimethylsterols in developing soybean seed and pod was found to vary between 0.16-0.35, 0.04-0.12 and 0.04-0.06%, respectively. The predominating 4-desmethylsterols were sitosterol, campesterol and stigmasterol. The proportion of sitosterol in seed decreased to 57.0% with maturation, while in pod increased up to 88.7%. ${\triangle}^{7,22,25}$ Stigmastatrienol estimated 7.5% was detected in the fully mature seed.

  • Five compounds were isolated from the methanol extract of the tubers of Cyperus rotundus (Cyperaceae). They were identified as cyperol(1), ${\alpha}-cyperone(2)$, cyperotundone(3), sugetriol triacetate(4) and ${\beta}-sitosterol(5)$ on the basis of spectroscopic and physicochemical analysis. Among them, cyperol, ${\alpha}-cyperone$ and cyperotundone were shown inhibitroy effects on LPS-induced nitric oxide production in RAW 264.7 cells in a dose dependent manner.

  • Pericarp of Zanthoxylum coreanum Nakai have been used as a crude medicine for the treatment of ozena, rheumatoid, nasal sinusitis, meno-xenia, dyspepsia, toothache, sore throat, pains in the limbs, etc. in Korea. A sterol fraction and two compounds, compound I and II were isolated from the roots, stems, leaves of Zanthoxylum coreanum Nakai. The sterol fraction was identified as a mixture of ${\beta}-sitosterol$ and campesterol. Compound I, colorless prismatic crystals, $C_{13]H_{13}NO_4$, mp. $175{\sim}177^{\circ}$, was proved to be skimmianine which is one of the alkaloids and compound II, $C_{14}H_{28}O_2$, mp. $53{\sim}55^{\circ}$, white powdered crystals was identified as myristic acid.

  • Angelica flaccida Kom. is a herbal plant growing wild in the marsh of valley in Korea. It has been used for sedative and analgesic as a folk medicine, but its constituents have not been clarified yet. Five known coumarins such as isoimperatorin, decursidin, (-) anomalin, decursin, decursinol and two sterols such as ${\beta}-sitosterol$ and stigmasterol were isolated from the root of this plant, Their structures were identified by the UV, IR, NMR, mass data and the physico-chemical properties.

  • Four steroids and one flavonol glycoside were isolated from the ethanol extract of the whole plant of Aconitum pseudolaeve var. erectum. Their structures were identified as ${\beta}-sitost-4-en-3-one$, 22-dihydro-stigmast-4-en-3,6-dione, ${\beta}-sitosterol$, ${\beta}-sitosterol-3-O-{\beta}-D-glucopyranoside$ and $kaempferol-3-O-{\beta}-D-glucopyranoside(astragalin)$ on the basis of spectral data.

  • Three compounds (1-3) were isolated from the roots of Potentilla discolor (Rosaceae). The structure of compounds 1-3 were elucidated as stigmast-5-en-3-ol $({\beta}-sitosterol,\;1),\;2,19{\alpha}-dihydroxy$-2-oxo-urs-1,12-dien-28-oic acid (fupenjic acid, 2), 3-O-${\beta}$-D-glucopyranosylstigmast-5-en-3-ol (${\beta}-sitosterol\;{\beta}-D-glucopyranoside, 3) based on physical and spectroscopic data. $^{13}C-NMR$ assignments were completed by 2D-NMR technique. The three compounds were firstly isolated from Potentilla discolor.

  • Seven compounds (1-7) were isolated from n-hexane and EtOAc-soluble fractions of the roots of Erigeron annuus by repeated silica gel column chromatography. They were identified as simiarenol (1), ${\beta}$-sitosterol (2), daidzein (3), apigenin (4), apigenin 7-O-${\beta}$-D-glucuronide (5), 3-hydroxy-pyran- 4-one (6), and ${\beta}$-sitosterol glucoside (7) on the basis of physical and spectroscopic data. Compounds 1 and 3 were isolated for the first time from the Erigeron species.

  • Chipped stem wood from Lindera glauca was extracted repeatedly with 80% aqueous methanol at room temperature, and the concentrated methanolic extract was successively partitioned with ethyl acetate (EtOAc), n-butyl alcohol, and $H_2O$. From the EtOAc fraction, four sterols were isolated through a repeated silica gel and octadecyl silica gel column chromatography. The chemical structures of the sterols were elucidated as ${\beta}$-sitosterol (1), 7-ketositosterol (2), 7${\beta}$-hydroxysitosterol (3), and daucosterol (4). Among them, compounds 2 and 3 were isolated for the first time from the stem woods of this plant.

백화사설초(百花蛇舌草)의 성분(成分)에 관한 연구(硏究) (Studies on the Constituents of Oldenlandia diffusa)

  • 국내(國內)에서 생산(生産)된 백화사설초(百花蛇舌草) Oldenlandia diffusa(WiIId.) Roxb. 의 전초로 부터 얻은 MeOH extract를 $CHCl_3, EtOAc$ 및 BuOH로 분획하여 얻은 fraction으로 부터 column chromatography를 실시하여 3종의 화합물을 분리하였다. 이들의 이화학적(理化學的) 및 분광학적(分光學的) data를 종합하여 화합물 I의 화학구조는 ${\beta}-sitosterol$에 소양(小量)의 stigmasterol이 함유된 sterol이며, 화합물 II는 ursolic acid이고, 화합물 III은 ${\beta}-sitostero\;3-0-{\beta}-D-glucoside$임을 밝혔다. 이 식물은 다양한 생리활성(生理活性)이 보고(報告)된 ursolic acid의 중요한 자원식물(資源植物)이 될 수 있음을 본실험을 통하여 밝혔으며 문헌(文獻)에 보고(報告)된 oleanolic acid는 함유(含有)되어 있지 않음을 알았다.
