Multiview autostereoscopic three-dimensional (MA3D) displays have the disadvantage that the single-view resolution decreases as the number of views increases. Furthermore, the resolution of MA3D displays is relatively degraded, even though the resolution of two-dimensional displays has increased recently. Therefore, it is unattractive to consumers, and the single-view resolution enhancement of MA3D displays is required. In this study, we developed a method for supplementing the single-view resolution of MA3D displays using a plate beam splitter that can show two MA3D displays simultaneously. By applying our proposed method, the resolution of a single view can increase, and the visual obstruction by the optical plate, which is a problem for MA3D displays, can be solved. In addition, an MA3D display was optically designed and fabricated using a parallax barrier. Finally, the experimental optical results obtained using the proposed method and the only MA3D display were compared.

We propose a method synthesizing elemental images and sub-images for the integral imaging using phase-shifting digital holography. From acquired single 4-step phase-shifting digital holography, we can generate elemental images and sub-images for any lens array specifications.

We have developed mathematically precise image-processing algorithms for extracting rectilinear images from fisheye images as well as digital pan/tilt/zoom technology. Using this technology, vertical lines always appear as vertical lines in the panned and/or tilted images. Furthermore, polygonal panoramic images composed of multiple rectilinear images have been obtained using the developed digital pan/tilt technology.

To make 3D camera system, we check the possibility of advanced range camera module based on measuring the time delay of modulated infrared light, using a single detector chip fabricated on standard CMOS process. To depth information, electronic shutter and interlaced scanning method of 2D sensor is needed. Especially, we design "lens system, illumination unit" and review simulation result.

LED 조명기구의 최적 배광제어를 위한 방법으로 Reflector 와 Lens를 설계하여 빛을 제어한다. 그러나 Lens설계는 제작의 어려움과 광효율의 감소로 인하여 2차적으로 사용되는 방법이다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 Reflector를 이용한 배광 설계를 최적화하여 경제적인 제작이 가능 하도록 Photopia2.0을 이용하여 설계하였다. LED 각각의 개별 반사판과 모듈 전체 적용된 반사판을 적용하여 각 형태별 특징을 도출하였다.

Interferometric metrology with a null CGH(computer-generated hologram) is presented for measuring highly aspheric surfaces used in a large screen projection television system with high accuracy. The cubic spline surface model which works in a single-pass configuration with a refractive index of object space 0 is used for designing a null CGH. A hybrid null corrector with plano-concave lens in front of a CGH is presented to make the CGH easier to fabricate. Experimental results are presented to demonstrate the validity of the proposed technique.

Making Inclusive Cities is a new urban agenda for better future cities. Inclusive cities should be conceptualized from multidimensional viewpoints including various academic disciplines beyond a single discipline such as urban planning/design and urban engineering which are primary disciplines to have handled urban challenges. The aim of this research is to propose diverse approaches to examine the concept of the inclusive city. This study examines the inclusive city from the lens of co-evolution, social exclusion, inclusiveness, and amenity, looking forward to more academic attempts to investigate this worldwide urban agenda.
