This paper deals with a linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach to the design of a static output feedback controller that simultaneously stabilizes a finite collection of linear time-invariant plants. Simultaneous stabilization by static ouput feedback is represented in terms of LMIs with a rank condition. An iterative penalty method is proposed to solve the rank-constrained LMI problem. Numerical experiments show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

The synthesis of pure calcium carbonate nanocrystals was achieved using a simultaneous injection method to produce nano particles of uniform size. These were characterized using scanning electron microscopy and powder X-ray diffraction. The nano particles were needle-shaped aragonite polymorphs, approximately 100-200 nm in length. The aragonite polymorph of calcium carbonate was prepared using aqueous solutions of $CaCl_2$ and $Na_2CO_3$, which were injected simultaneously into double distilled water at $50^{\circ}C$ and then allowed to react for 1.5 h. The resulting whisker-type nano aragonite with high aspect ratio (30) is biocompatible and potentially suitable for applications in light weight plastics, as well as in the medical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and paint industries.

The purpose of this paper is to address the multiple split common fixed point problem. We present two different methods to approximate a solution of the problem. One is cyclic iteration method; the other is simultaneous iteration method. Under appropriate assumptions on the operators and iterative parameters, we prove both the proposed algorithms converge to the solution of the multiple split common fixed point problem. Our results generalize and improve some known results in the literatures.

In this paper, in order to improve the withstand voltage properties of epoxy resin, IPN(interpenetrating polymer network) method was introduced and the influence was investigated. The single network structure specimen(E series), simultaneous interpenetrating polymer network specimen(EM series) and pseudo interpenetrating polymer network(EMP series) specimen were manufactured. In order to understand the internal structure properties, scanning electron microscopy method was utilized, and glass transition temperature was measured. Also, AC voltage dielectric breakdown strength, tensile strength and impact strength were measured to investigate the influence upon electrical and mechanical properties. As a result, it was confirmed that simultaneous interpenetrating polymer network specimen was the most execellent.

In this paper, a new speed sensorless induction motor scheme which can estimate rotor speed and rotor resistance simultaneously is presented. The rotor flux with a low frequency sinusoidal waveform is used to conduct on-line simultaneous estimation of the rotor speed and rotor resistance. Hence the proposed sensorless control method is robust to rotor resistance variations. Also, the control scheme has no current minor loop to determine voltage references. It contributes to good control performance at low speeds. Some simulation results supported by experiments are given to show the effectiveness of this method.

In this article, we suggest the following approaches to simultaneous variable selection and outlier detection. First, we determine possible candidates for outliers using properties of an intercept estimator in a difference-based regression model, and the information of outliers is reflected in the multiple regression model adding mean shift parameters. Second, we select the best model from the model including the outlier candidates as predictors using stochastic search variable selection. Finally, we evaluate our method using simulations and real data analysis to yield promising results. In addition, we need to develop our method to make robust estimates. We will also to the nonparametric regression model for simultaneous outlier detection and variable selection.

This paper adopts the big data research method, and draws 491 data from the Tianya Forum about the Simultaneous Renting and Purchasing policy of Guangzhou. The qualitative analysis software Nvivo11 is used to cluster the main questions about the Simultaneous Renting and Purchasing policy in the forum. The 36 high-frequency word frequencies are obtained through text clustering. Through rooted theory analysis, the main driving factors for summarizing people's doubts are 9 main categories, 3 core categories, and the model of driving factors for online forums is established. The study finds that resource factors are the most key factor, economic factors are the important drivers, and policy guiding factors are sub-important drivers.

This paper presents a methodology based on evolutionary optimization for simultaneously optimizing design parameters of controller and components of plant. Genetic programming(GP) based bond graph model generation is adopted to open-ended search for the plant. Also GP is applied to represent the controller with a unified method. The formulations of simultaneous plant-controller design optimization problem and the description of solution techniques based on bond graph are derived. A feasible solutions for a plant/controller design using the simultaneous optimization methodology is illustrated.

In this study, we propose several simultaneous tests to detect the difference between means and variances for the two-sample problem when the underlying distribution is normal. For this, we apply the likelihood ratio principle and propose a likelihood ratio test. We then consider a union-intersection test after identifying the likelihood statistic, a product of two individual likelihood statistics, to test the individual sub-null hypotheses. By noting that the union-intersection test can be considered a simultaneous test with combination function, also we propose simultaneous tests with combination functions to combine individual tests for each sub-null hypothesis. We apply the permutation principle to obtain the null distributions. We then provide an example to illustrate our proposed procedure and compare the efficiency among the proposed tests through a simulation study. We discuss some interesting features related to the simultaneous test as concluding remarks. Finally we show the expression of the likelihood ratio statistic with a product of two individual likelihood ratio statistics.

The spectral correction matrix has been established to study the simultaneous complextions between metals and a ligand, and it eliminated the mutual influence among the complexes. The two sensitive reations between iron(Ⅱ) and 1-(6-bromo-2-benzothiazolylazo)-2-naphthol(BBTAN) and zinc (Ⅱ) and BBTAN have been investigated and applied to the simultaneous determination of Zn and Fe at pH 8.5 in the presence of triton x-100. This method gave the simples determination of the characteristic constants of the complexes. For the analysis of natural water, foods and other samoles, the recoveries of Fe and Zn were between 92 and 109% and between 91 and 104%, and their relative standard deviations were less than 5.5 and 11%, respectively.
