Federated process framework is introduced responding to market\\`s needs to gain benefits of process information sharing in a virtual enterprise. The framework is verified by implementing its prototype system. However, it is very difficult to integrate developed prototype system with operating legacy systems to show its applicability. Thus, a test bed approach is widely adopted to provide a system environment that imitates the operations of real legacy systems and their interactions. In this paper, we described implementation detail of test bed imitating the real-world workflow systems. We also show its contribution and results of the prototype system that was implemented on the test bed.
The main object of this study is to develop a reliable FEM simulation technique for stability test using ABAQUS software and to clarify the effect of base profile of a steel D&I(drawn and ironed) can on the dome reversal pressure. For the can after body making simulation, two kind of stability test, dome buckle test and axial crush test are performed. The factors studied in the base profile on the dome reversal pressure are the base diameter, the rim radius, the dome shoulder radius, the dome radius and the dome depth. Within the limits before the occurrence of normal snap-through buckling of dome, the dome reversal pressure is improved by decreasing the base diameter, increasing the dome depth or increasing the dome shoulder depth.
A fatigue test on the steel welded L-shaped frame was conducted. The frame was consisted with carbon steel tube and reinforced bracket. The four type reinforced brackets were fabricated. They were two rectangular plate reinforced bracket, two sided pentagon plate reinforced bracket, triangular plate reinforced bracket and fully reinforced bracket. The fatigue test of frame was conducted with axial tension loading. The fatigue simulation of the steel welded L-shaped frame was also performed by the finite element method with code FEMFAT. The frame of fully reinforced bracket had the highest fatigue life and reinforced quality factor.
The creep life of 9Cr1MoVNb steel, in terms of Larson-Miller parameter(LMP), was evaluated by small punch(SP) creep simulation and verified by uniaxial creep test. By employing the elastoplastic FEM(finite element method), the small punch creep behaviors associated with various friction coefficients were simulated to identify a real friction phenomena. The friction coefficient, ${\mu}$=0.7, determined by comparing deflection history was used in the small punch creep simulation to find the equivalent stresses with which the relationship between punch load and uniaxial creep stress was found. The creep life was then predicted by the LMP, which was the relationship among the rupture time, temperature, and stress. Finally, the LMP calculated by SP-creep simulation was compared with that had computed by the uniaxial creep test and fairly matched LMPs were found.
Occupant protection in the side impact of a car became one of the most important issues of car crashworthiness due to high injury level in a side impact crash. An accurate simulation of the side impact crash is an essential tool for the reduction of development time and cost for side impact safety system. This paper describes a new test methodology that can accurately generate the crash pulses of a vehicle and a door in a very cost-effective manner, and then evaluates the injury values of the dummy for the various sled pulses. This test methodology is simple and easy to approach because the door velocity is controlled by the hydraulic actuator and brake and the seat velocity is only adjusted by the friction force of the hydraulic brake. The superiority of the proposed test methodology is proven by the evaluation of dummy's injury values according to the change of the pressure of the hydraulic brake and by the application as a tool for the development of side airbag.
A test-area molecular dynamics simulation method for the vapor-liquid interface of argon through a Lennard-Jones intermolecular potential is presented in this paper as a primary study of interfacial systems. We found that the calculated density profile along the z-direction normal to the interface is not changed with time after equilibration and that the values of surface tension computed from this test-area method are fully consistent with the experimental data. We compared the thermodynamic properties of vapor argon, liquid argon, and argon in the vapor-liquid interface. Comparisons are made with kinetic and potential energies, diffusion coefficient, and viscosity.
In this paper, we propose a fault simulation method based on primary output in combinational circuit. In the deterministic test pattern generation, each test pattern is genterated incrementally. The test pattern is applied to the primary inputs of circuit under test to simulate faults. We detect the faults with respect to each primary output. The fault detection with resptect to each primary output is reflected by the corresponding bit in the detection words, and efficient fault detection for the reconvergent fan-out stem is achieved with dynamic fault propagation. As an experimental result of the fault simulation with our method for the several bench mark circuits, we illustrated the good performance showing that the number of gates to be activated is much reduced as compared with other method which is not based on primary output.
A V-bending test was performed in order to predict springback of high-strength steel sheets under various conditions. The results of V-Bending test were analyzed with artificial neural networks and FE-simulation, respectively, for the tool design. The results of design are discussed. The bending test result using the tool designed with artificial neural networks was about 92˚. However, the bending test result using the tool designed FE-simulation was about 94.5˚. Artificial neural networks are a useful tool along with FE-simulation in predicting springback.

Predicting fracture properties requires an understanding of structural failure behaviour in relation to specimen type, dimension, and notch length. Facture properties are evaluated using various testing methods, wedge splitting test being one of them. The wedge splitting test was numerically modelled three dimensionally using the finite element method on self compacting concrete specimens with varied specimen and notch depths in the current work. The load - Crack mouth opening displacement curves and the angle of rotation with respect to notch opening till failure are used to assess the fracture properties. Furthermore, based on the simulation results, failure curve was built to forecast the fracture behaviour of self-compacting concrete. The fracture failure curve revealed that the failure was quasi-brittle in character, conforming to non-linear elastic properties for all specimen depth and notch depth combinations.
Environmental test is divided into operation test and storage test. The temperature of storage test is induced temperature which is considered with all sort of the heat source. Induced temperature is the temperature to be adapted to each item and platform and can be induced by computer simulation, laboratory, and real field test. We considered the induced temperature to be associated with solar heat source. In this research. First, we compared the induced temperature which be occurred by one experiment for thin plate in solar test chamber with the other one which be occurred by computer simulation to be SolidWorks 2007 COSMOS FloWorks. After this verification, we showed induced temperature which can be occurred when the test item is stored. Especially, we bring out the induced temperature by applying the ambient temperatures which is presented by MIL-STD-810F and brought out in preceding research.
