영상분석기법을 이용한 체질방법에 따른 백설기의 품질특성 (Characteristics of Backsulgi According to the Sifting Method by Digital Image Analysis)

  • 백설기의 제조 시 쌀가루의 체질 방법이나 횟수에 따른 제품의 품질 특성을 CrumbScan을 이용한 객관적인 영상분석 방법으로 알아보았다. Tiff file로 처리된 영상분석의 결과, 체질을 한 경우가 제품의 속질이 부드럽고, 특히 손 체질을 하는 경우가 가장 제품의 상태가 좋아지는 것으로 나타났으며, 제조상의 실수도 줄일 수 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 특성의 분석 결과, 체질을 할 경우 대조구와 비교하여 제품의 부피는 작아졌고, 무게도 가벼워졌으며, 2회의 손 체질과 1회의 기계 체질이 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 속질의 조밀함은 손 체질의 경우 높게 나타났으나, 기공의 형태가 찌그러짐을 보여주었다. 특성들 간의 관계를 살펴보면, 손 체질을 하는 경우에서 부피와 무게에 부의 관계가 나타나기도 했지만 큰 영향을 주지는 않으며, 기계 체질의 경우에는 부피와 다른 특성들 간에는 관계가 나타나지 않았다. 결론적으로 손을 이용한 전통적인 체질 방법이 백설기의 제조에 좋은 것으로 나타났으며, 전통적인 방법과 기계적인 방법의 혼용도 연구가 되어야 한다고 사료되었다.

Empirical mode decomposition based on Fourier transform and band-pass filter

  • A novel empirical mode decomposition strategy based on Fourier transform and band-pass filter techniques, contributing to efficient instantaneous vibration analyses, is developed in this study. Two key improvements are proposed. The first is associated with the adoption of a band-pass filter technique for intrinsic mode function sifting. The primary characteristic of decomposed components is that their bandwidths do not overlap in the frequency domain. The second improvement concerns an attempt to design narrowband constraints as the essential requirements for intrinsic mode function to make it physically meaningful. Because all decomposed components are generated with respect to their intrinsic narrow bandwidth and strict sifting from high to low frequencies successively, they are orthogonal to each other and are thus suitable for an instantaneous frequency analysis. The direct Hilbert spectrum is employed to illustrate the instantaneous time-frequency-energy distribution. Commendable agreement between the illustrations of the proposed direct Hilbert spectrum and the traditional Fourier spectrum was observed. This method provides robust identifications of vibration modes embedded in vibration processes, deemed to be an efficient means to obtain valuable instantaneous information.

결정 다이어그램의 최적화를 위한 탐색공간 축소 기법 (Search space pruning technique for optimization of decision diagrams)

  • BOD의 최적화 문제는 논리합성과 형식검증 영역에서 필수적인 것으로 인식되고 있다. 변수 순서화 문제는 BOD의 크기와 형태에 직접적인 영향을 미치므로, 적절한 변수 순서를 구하는 문제는 매우 중요한 문제이다, 본 논문에서 는 점진적 시프팅이라 부르는 새로운 변수 순서화 알고리듬을 소개한다. 제안된 알고리듬은 기존의 시프팅 알고리듬에서의 탐색공간을 절반이하로 줄이며, 성능의 저하없이 계산시간을 크게 감소시킬 수 있다. 더욱이 점진적 시프팅 알고리듬은 시프팅 알고리듬을 비롯한 다른 변수 순서화 알고리듬에 비해 매우 단순하다. 제안된 알고리듬은 많은 벤치마크 회로를 이용한 실험에서 그 효율성이 입증되었다.

Mode identifiability of a cable-stayed bridge under different excitation conditions assessed with an improved algorithm based on stochastic subspace identification

  • Deficient modes that cannot be always identified from different sets of measurement data may exist in the application of operational modal analysis such as the stochastic subspace identification techniques in large-scale civil structures. Based on a recent work using the long-term ambient vibration measurements from an instrumented cable-stayed bridge under different wind excitation conditions, a benchmark problem is launched by taking the same bridge as a test bed to further intensify the exploration of mode identifiability. For systematically assessing this benchmark problem, a recently developed SSI algorithm based on an alternative stabilization diagram and a hierarchical sifting process is extended and applied in this research to investigate several sets of known and blind monitoring data. The evaluation of delicately selected cases clearly distinguishes the effect of traffic excitation on the identifiability of the targeted deficient mode from the effect of wind excitation. An additional upper limit for the vertical acceleration amplitude at deck, mainly induced by the passing traffic, is subsequently suggested to supplement the previously determined lower limit for the wind speed. Careful inspection on the shape vector of the deficient mode under different excitation conditions leads to the postulation that this mode is actually induced by the motion of the central tower. The analysis incorporating the tower measurements solidly verifies this postulation by yielding the prevailing components at the tower locations in the extended mode shape vector. Moreover, it is also confirmed that this mode can be stably identified under all the circumstances with the addition of tower measurements. An important lesson learned from this discovery is that the problem of mode identifiability usually comes from the lack of proper measurements at the right locations.

A method for underwater image analysis using bi-dimensional empirical mode decomposition technique

  • Recent developments in underwater image recognition methods have received large attention by the ocean engineering researchers. In this paper, an improved bi-dimensional empirical mode decomposition (BEMD) approach is employed to decompose the given underwater image into intrinsic mode functions (IMFs) and residual. We developed a joint algorithm based on BEMD and Canny operator to extract multi-pixel edge features at multiple scales in IMFs sub-images. So the multiple pixel edge extraction is an advantage of our approach; the other contribution of this method is the realization of the bi-dimensional sifting process, which is realized utilizing regional-based operators to detect local extreme points and constructing radial basis function for curve surface interpolation. The performance of the multi-pixel edge extraction algorithm for processing underwater image is demonstrated in the contrast experiment with both the proposed method and the phase congruency edge detection.

Complex term을 이용한 OPKFDD의 입력변수 순서 방법 (A Variable Ordering Method for OPKFDDs using Complex Terms)

  • OPKFDD(Ordered Pseudo-Kronecker Functional Decision Diagram)는 각 노드에서 다양한 decomposition을 취할 수 있는 Ordered-DD(Decision Diagram)의 한 종류이다. OBDD(Ordered Binary Decision Diagram)에서 각 노드는 Shannon decomposition 만을 이용하는 반면, OPKFDD는 각 노드마다 Shannon, positive Davio, negative Davio decomposition 중의 하나를 사용하도록 하며 많은 경우 매우 적은 수의 노드로 함수를 표현할 수 있다. 그러나 각 노드마다 각기 다른 확장 방법을 선택할 수 있는 특징 때문에 입력 노드에 대한 확장 방밥과 입력 변수 순서의 결정에 의해서 OPKFDD의 크기가 좌우되며 이에 대한 최적의 해를 구하는 것은 매우 어려운 문제로 알려져 있다. 본 논문에서는 DD 크기를 기준을 노드 수로 하여 기존의 BDD(Binary Decision Diagram) 자료구조에서 OPKFDD를 효율적으로 유도해내는 방법을 제시하고 complex term을 이용하여 이를 최소화하는 알고리즘을 제시한다. 그리고 입력변수 순서 결정을 위하여 다출력함수의 경우 함수간의 포함관계를 고려한 그룹-sifting과 각 노드의 확장 방법을 제안하고 실험 결과를 제시한다.

피조개 항망의 써레에 의한 어획 선택성에 관하여 (On the tooth selectivity of ark shell dedge)

  • To find the tooth selectivity of the dredge for catching the ark shell Scapharca broughtonii, the probabilities of the ark shells which are not sifting through the gaps between teeth were calculated for the various shell lengths. Considering that these probabilities are in proportion to the relative catching efficiencies, selectivity curves for the ark shell dredge were estimated for the various gaps between teeth. The ratio of the shell length of ark shell to the distance between teeth indicating the relative catching efficiencies of 0%, 50%, 100% respectively, were calculated by using these selectivity curves, and the values were 1.00, 1.32, 1.54 in the distance of 4.0cm between teeth and then, the ratios showed a slight tendency to decrease as the distance between teeth increased in the relative catching efficiency of 100%, In addition, the range of shell length for catching, that is, the range of selective shell length by the distance between teeth was 0.54 in the distance of 4.0cm between teeth.

거친 표면 레이다 산란 해석을 위한 개선된 Kirchhoff 근사 방법 (An improved kirchhoff approximation for radar scattering from rough surfaces)

  • A new Kirchhoff approximation(KA) method was proposed for microwave scttering from randomly rough surfaces. Using the spectral representation of delta function and its sifting theorem, a new KA was formulated directly without any further approximation, and this formulated was used to compute exact backscttering coefficients. The validity of the KA was verified by a numerical method, and this new KA technique was used to evaluate the existing approximated KkA methods; i.t., the zeroth-order and the first-order approximated physical optics(PO) models. It was shown that the first-order approximated PO model has small error than the zeroth-order approximated PO model at low incidence angles and the opposite happens at higher incidence angles. This new KA model can be used to compute exact scattering coefficients in the validity regions of KA and to evaluate other theoretical and numerical models for scattering from randomly rough surfaces.

  • In this paper a review of literature on Nuruk(yeast) between 1907 and 1945 was made, which showed that barley, rice bran, oat, rye, and other ingredients were originally used according to region and production quantity. Yeast can be classified into rough (Chokuk) and powder (Bunkuk) types depending on the degree of grinding. Yeast also had seasonal names, being called " Choonkuk", Hakuk", Jeolkuk", and "Dongkuk" in the spring, summer, autumn and wither respectively. The form of yeast in terms of quantity, size, and shape varied greatly by region, Production facilities were composed of plant structures to suit each process, enabling continuous output. The production process included shaping, placement in the fermenting chamber, piling by turns, risk-sifting and final output. Testing procudures were divided into visual inspection, physical testing, and chemical analyses.

  • 개미사돈아과의 미기록종인 멧개미사돈(Parapyxidicerus carinatus Sawada, 1964)(신칭)을 한국에서 처음으로 보고하며 이들이 속한 한국 미기록족 Bythinoplectini에 대해 함께 보고한다. 털어잡기 방법으로 세 개체의 표본이 경기와 강원도의 물가에서 확보되었다. 정확한 동정을 위해 외형과 진단형질의 사진 그리고 분포지도를 함께 제공한다.
