Drying shrinkage and strength of the redispersible SBR and PAE powder-modified mortars were experimentally investigated. Results of the study that the drying shrinkage rapidly increased until 7 days of age and it was then saturated to the value of about $1\~2\times10^{4}$ after 14 days. It turned out that the polymer-cement ratio exerted more influence on the drying shrinkage than the content of powder shrinkage-reducing agent did. Flexural (compressive) strength of the mortar increased (decreased) as the polymer-cement ratio increased and it was 7$\~$11 (23$\~$39) MPa at 7 days of age. The average (maximum) increasing (decreasing) rate turned out to be about 10 (30) $\%$. As in the drying shrinkage case, the polymer-cement ratio exerted more influence on both flexural and compressive strengths than the content of powder shrinkage agent did.
Both the control and heated specimen of oak, hornbean, alder, poplar, red pine and pitch pine among domestic commercial species and taun imported were used for radial and tangential shrinkage and movement that occurred on changing the relative humidity of the atmosphere from 90 percent to 60 percent at $25^{\circ}C$. The results of this study were as follows. 1. The radial and tangential shrinkage of the control and heated hornbean and oak wood, except alder, of high specific gravity showed greater than species with low specific gravity. The ratio of tangential to radial shrinkage was 1.46 for taun to 2.70 for alder. Green volume specific gravity of the heated and soaked specimen of all species except poplar decreased 1.5 to 3.1 percent. Shrinkage of the heated specimen increased more than that of the control specimen, and antishrink efficiency of all timbers except alder had negative value. Shrinkage from green to air dry of treated specimens increased more than case of total shrinkage, and radial shrinkage of those specimen increased greater than tangential shrinkage. 3. The movement of the heating specimen for 120 hours decreased than those of the control and the heating specimen for 240 hours. The movement of heating oak, poplar, red pine and pitch pine (or 240 hours increased rather than those of the control specimen.

After concrete casts, temperature decent and shrinkage bring volume changes of concrete pavement. Microcracking and cracking in concrete pavement are caused by these volume changes. As a result, durability of concrete pavement is deteriorated. Recently, Very-Early Strength Latex Modified concrete(below:VESLMC) from the beginning of High-Way is used as urgent repair material for bridge deck. The advantage of VESLMC is that compressive and flexural strength at 3 hours age are 4.5MPa and 21MPa respectively. It allows the traffic to open in 3 hours. But, this material has the problem which is early-age shrinkage cracking caused by water self-dissipation with rapid hydration reaction and water evaporation with body dry. Unfortunately, until now, the research about early-age shrinkage of VESLMC leaves something to be desired. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to present the early-age shrinkage of VESLMC respect to latex contents and shrinkage ratio to maximum length change that can help field engineers' skill. Latex contents of 0, 5, 10, 15, $20\%$ in standard of same workability in VESLMC are selected by experimental variables. After initial set, shrinkage value was measured with 10mm LVDT for 3 days. The results of maximum shrinkage ratio were 0.019, 0.017, 0.023, $0.027\%$ respectively.

Drying shrinkage means the reduction of volume of concrete because of the loss of water in concrete. This shirinkage can cause tensile stresses, crack formations at the exposure surfaces in concretes. The purpose of this paper is to apply differential shrinkage model which uses moisture diffusion equation and to calculate more reasonable shrinkage quantity, the stresses of concretes. The result of this papar is that the mean value of differential shrinkage is similar to the existing result but at exposures surface the shrinkage strains are more large. From this result the possiblility of crack formation can take place. Thus a resonable counterplan for tensile stresses in exposure surfaces is necessary.

This thesis is researched to compare the shrinkage of lightweight concrete depending on depth to normal concrete. It is used artificial lightweight aggregate which has 20% of pre-absorb value by lightweight concrete. When water-binder ratio is 30%, average shrinkage of lightweight concrete section decreased than normal concrete, but differential shrinkage of lightweight concrete section increased. However water-binder ratio is 40%, average shrinkage and differential shrinkage of lightweight concrete section decreased than normal concrete.

Water binder ratio combine high-performance concrete shrinkage of less than 0.4 to determine the transformation to a total shrinkage of water to move outside and internal consumption of moisture due to drying shrinkage and autogenous shrinkage, and then, the relative humidity changes and strain to be approached by surface physics describe the relationship between self-desiccation and autogenous shrinkage was set. To verify the self-desiccation in the humidity shrinkage and humidity measurements performed, and the research model, Tazawa, CEB-FIP model than to let the measure and the most similar results in this study based on self-desiccation model, autogenous shrinkage didn't represent the linear shrinkage by the drying shrinkage of the external moving but exponential relationships, unlike with the nature and rapid in the early age properly describes the attributes in shrinkage could see. After this research to move moisture and to reflect the shrinkage model, temperature, moisture transfer, strain analysis by multi-physics model is very similar to the results of mock-up specimen measurements performed for this research, the value measured by the internal consumption of moisture, therefore self-desiccation and a multi-physics model considering autogenous shrinkage might be relevant.

This paper provides the practical application of a linear shrinkage framework on Vietnam stock market. The cumulative data points observed in this analysis are 468 weeks from January 2011 to December 2019. All the companies listed on Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE), except the companies under two years period from Initial Public Offering (IPO), are considered. The cumulative number of stocks picked is therefore 350 companies. The VNINDEX, which is the Vietnam Stock Index, is used as a reference index for shrinking to a single-index model. The empirical results show that the shrinkage of covariance matrix for portfolio optimization gives the promising results for the investors on Vietnam stock market. The shrinkage method helps the investors to produce the optimal portfolio in the sense of having higher profit with lower levels of risk compared to the portfolio of the traditional SCM method. Moreover, the portfolio turnover of shrinkage method is always kept at low magnitudes, and this makes the shrinkage portfolios save much transaction costs and reduce the liquidity risks in the trading process. In addition, the ability of shrinkage method in making profit is once again confirmed by the Alpha coefficient that achieves a high positive value.

The objective of this study were to investigate the properties and to improve the disadvantages of the polymer concrete such as brittle fracture, large hardening shrinkage . In this paper, steel fiber reinforced polymer concrete is prepared with various steel fiber aspect ratios(ι/d), contents(vol.%), and their material characteristics were investigated experimentally . The aspect ration (ι/d) of the steel fiber was reversly proportional to slump value, and slump value tended to decrease as increase of steel fiber content . And harding shrinkage and impact resistance tended to be improved as the steel fiber content and aspect ration were increased.

In the study, creep and dry shrinkage characteristics were evaluated to determine the material properties necessary for structural analysis such as column shortening and differential drying shrinkage. All the experiments were conducted in an constant temperature and humidity room. The mechanical properties as well as the specific creep and ultimate dry shrinkage values were derived. In addition the characteristics of the physical value of the high-strength fiber reinforced concrete were considered.

Series of experimental work was performed to mold tensile specimens by using the injection molding machine Mold temperature, melt temperature and packing time were chosen as processing parameters for studying the effects of those conditions on the linear shrinkage of final product. Here, each processing variable was decided from the numerical simulation and resin manufacturer's suggested value. The effects of molding conditions on the linear shrinkage in flow direction of the resin were analyzed by measuring the parts 2, 10, 30 and 60 days after molding. As a result, the linear shrinkage increased with the higher mold and melt temperature, and the change of mold temperature has shown more influence. The linear shrinkage of polypropylene has been found to progress up to 30 day with the lapse of the time, and the amount of the linear shrinkage has shown to be between 2.14% and 2.75%. In addition, the effects of packing pressure on the weight has shown to be extremely significant up to freezing time, and proper packing time of the tensile specimen has been found to be 2.0 seconds.
