  • The rise in population and the increase of urbanization and industrial growth has resulted in an ever-increasing volume of municipal solid waste that must be regularly collected, transported, and ultimately disposed of. Therefore, over the last decade the public, commercial and legislative awareness of environmental issues has been increased dramatically on earth particularly some industrial countries which has a shortage of landfill capacity. A quality, cost and delivery lead-time are usually considered as the competitive factors for each industry. However, the concepts of environmental issue are emerging common terms and concerns more seriously. More attention than ever is being focused on the recycling and source reduction techniques to reduce the total volume of waste. Unfortunately, however, a shortage of landfill capacity and increasing disposal cost requests a fundamental solution about the environmental issue. That is the remanufacturing which allow manufacturers to minimize waste, production cost and to turn end-of-life product into a profitable product. The objectives of this research were to growth the remanufacturing system by suggesting issues and implementation methods for the remanufacturing. In order to accomplish these objectives, we introduced backgrounds of appearance and benefits of the remanufacturing.

  • This thesis mainly deals with the meaning of single eaves buildings which have Chunyeo with Sarae. As a rule, building with single eaves does not construct Sarae. But we can find some special buildings using Chunyeo with Sarae in the corners of the eaves. At this time, many people say that lower part of the member so called Alchunyeo, and upper part of the member so called Chunyeo. And they also say that the using of Alchunyeo was caused by the shortage of timber which can make Chunyeo properly. As a result, single eaves buildings using Chunyeo with Sarae in the corners of the eaves were not caused by the shortage of timber. That kinds of buildings were made by the hierarchy of building. Single eaves buildings with Sarae have lower rank than double eaves buildings, and also have higher rank than those without Sarae. And we have to say that lower part of the member is Chunyeo, and upper part of the member is Sarae.

  • In an effort to identify quantitatively historical drought conditions, and to evaluate their temporal and spatial variability , two commonly used drougth indices, the standardized precipitation index, SPI by Mckee and the Palmer drought severity index. PDSI were calculated from 54 meteorological stations, SPI was evaluated for different time scales, 3 to 48 months. As the compjtational spans for SPI increase from 3 to 48 months the frequency and intensity of drought decrease, but the duration of drought increase. When monthly and ten-day PDSIs were compared, the frequency and duratin of drought were almost equal and the intensity of drought differ slightly. The three month SPI has the advatage to detect the drought resulting from short-term shortage of rainfall, while PDSI had the advantage to detect the state of drought resulting from cumulated shortage of rainfall. The period-frequency spectrum analyses at Kangnung statino showed that the maximum value of relative frequency was 24.4% when the period was 5.2months, and the 6month SPI has most similar trends to PDSI.

  • The shortage of donor lungs has become a serious obstacle to implementing lung transplantation (LTx). Donation after circulatory death (DCD) donors are among the several donor pools utilized to overcome the problem posed by the shortage of donation after brain death (DBD) donors. The active use of DCD donors is expected to significantly reduce mortality on the waiting list for LTx, as LTx from DCD donors has comparable outcomes to LTx from DBD donors. Further studies on efforts to shorten the warm ischemic time and use uncontrolled DCD are required.

  • An order-level inventory model for a perishable product with a time-dependent demand is developed for a fixed planning pe-riod allowing backlogging in all cycles within the said period. The market demand is assumed to decrease exponentially as time elapses. The average system cost is derived and its optimization procedure is illustrated with a numerical example. Sensitivity of the optimal so-lution to changes in the values of different parameters of the system is also analysed.

  • School gardens are known to be effective for increasing vegetable consumption in children. This study was carried out to examine the perception of garden program leaders for actual conditions and barriers to promote school gardens according to their sense of dedication. The 49 garden program leaders at schools and child care centers in Pocheon city were surveyed and grouped into two groups: dedicated (57.1%) and less dedicated (42.9%) as program leaders. Compared to dedicated leaders, leaders in the less dedicated group less advocated promotion of school gardens (P<0.001) and were less willing to attend training for school garden (P<0.01), despite less experience as program leaders (P<0.01) and past training (P<0.05). Moreover, leaders in the less dedicated group less acknowledged the educational results of school garden in every aspect (P<0.001, respectively), less perceived support from parents and colleagues (P<0.05, respectively), and less used garden produce in more active activities such as donation and literature (P<0.05, respectively), compared to the dedicated group. The most answered barrier against the promotion of school gardens was work burden, followed by manpower shortage, shortage of technique, knowledge, and information, and time shortage. The results of this study provide evidence that developing strategies is needed to make more teachers and child care providers more dedicated as garden program leaders.

  • The domestic mold industry is composed of 6,560 small and medium sized mold companies as of 2015. The structure of mold industry centered on less than 10 people in the past has been improved in the direction of increasing number of medium and large scale companies with more than 20 competitors with global competitiveness and has maintained its position as the world's second largest mold exporter with global competitiveness. Nevertheless, the manpower structure and corporate competitiveness structure of the mold industry is very high, with the proportion of production manpower reaching 70% and shortage rate of 10% or more in order to respond to the orders of customers. However, the development base for new employees with technological skills required by the industrial field is poor, and the inflow of young people is very limited due to factors such as the avoidance of small and medium enterprises and production jobs. It is expected that the labor shortage of mold enterprises will be further increased in the future. In the mold industry, due to the characteristics of small quantity multi-product production corresponding to the demand of the consumer, many production processes are individually and independently carried out, resulting in low labor productivity, and the structural time required for the worker to increase the working time Due to limitations, the working hours per week of the employees are about 50 hours. The implementation of the working time reduction bill, which is recently promoted by the government, is a crisis factor. In order to cultivate the mold industry, it is necessary to expand the base of molds to meet the intensification of global competition, the convergence of technologies to actively respond to the restructuring of the industrial structure, and the response to the new industry, It is necessary to improve labor productivity through policies such as development and dissemination of system, and to secure price, delivery and quality competitiveness in global market.

  • Regarding the fact that wind power forecast accuracy is gradually improved as time is approaching, this paper proposes a two-stage rolling dispatch approach based on model predictive control (MPC), which contains an intra-day rolling optimal scheme and a real-time rolling base point tracing scheme. The scheduled output of the intra-day rolling scheme is set as the reference output, and the real-time rolling scheme is based on MPC which includes the leading rolling optimization and lagging feedback correction strategy. On the basis of the latest measured thermal unit output feedback, the closed-loop optimization is formed to correct the power deviation timely, making the unit output smoother, thus reducing the costs of power adjustment and promoting wind power accommodation. We adopt chance constraint to describe forecasts uncertainty. Then for reflecting the increasing prediction precision as well as the power dispatcher's rising expected satisfaction degree with reliable system operation, we set the confidence level of reserve constraints at different timescales as the incremental vector. The expectation of up/down reserve shortage is proposed to assess the adequacy of the upward/downward reserve. The studies executed on the modified IEEE RTS system demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
