여대생의 발 유형과 선호 구두 형태와의 관계 (Relationship of Types of Foot Shape and Favorite Shoes Shape of Female University Students)

  • The objective of this paper was to analyse the foot type of female university students by the direct and indirect measure of foot and the measures of foot outline. The results were as follow: 1. The length and the width of foot were small and ankle slender and the modification of the big toe slight. 2. The analysis on the 16 measure items revealed five factors; the first factor was related to the width and girth of foot, the second one to the length of foot, the third one to the transformation of the little toe, the fourth one to the height of foot, the fifth one to transformation of the big toe. 3. The grouping on the shape of foot revealed three types. The inline angle of foot was the smallest in average in the type 1, while it appeared to be middle in the other types. The wider foot shapes were grouped as type 2 because their inline and outline angles of foot were the biggest in average. In the type 3, the big toe was curved a lot, since it was the largest in average. 4. From the naked eye measuring method, classification from which toe was popped-out told that Egyptian foot was 30.9%, Greek foot 27.9%. On the other hand, the instrumental method showed that Egyptian foot was 57.3%, Squared foot 35.3% and Greek foot 7.4%. 5. The result from the analysis about the traits of foot shape by the degree of the arch formation of bottom foot, showed that 33.8% had the normal foot, 66.2% slightly flat foot or middle one. There was no one with rigid flat foot. 6. The shoes size they declared were that 240cm was 33.3%, 235cm 18.1% and 245cm 18.1%. The shape of their shoe heel were flat heel(34.8%), cuban heel(25.5%), and narrow straight heel(19.9%); and that of the shoe toe were round toe(25.4%), oval toe(20.4%) and squared toe(20.4%). 7. The discomforting parts when they wear shoes were the little toe(35.4%), the rear of foot(13.9%), and the width of foot(13.9%), which was related to their dislike of shoe with the pointed toe.

Analysis of Middle Aged and Elderly Women's Foot Shapes for Shoe Design

  • This study analyzes the characteristics by age and type for middle aged and elderly women foot shapes aged 40-69 years. ANOVA, factor, and cluster analyzed middle aged and elderly women's foot shapes. The results of the study are as follows. First, higher age groups tended to have smaller foot lengths, ball/instep circumferences, circumferences, and ball heights with larger heel height values and higher degrees of gathering of toe 1 and toe 5 toward the feet reference axis. Second, foot lengths were 220 mm-240 mm and the ball circumference's size symbol in high frequency sections were distributed from E to EEEE in the 40s and 60s groups and from D to EEEE in the 50s group. Third, eight factors were extracted through the factor analyses of middle aged and elderly women's foot measurement items. Fourth, a cluster analyses classified the subjects into four types. Type 1 is a normal foot type with medium foot length and small ball circumference and type 2 is a long and flat foot type with a type with large foot length and ball circumference values as well as small ball height values. Type 3 is a thick foot type with a medium foot length, large ball circumference, large ball height and type 4 is a toe deformation foot type with medium foot length, small ball circumference, and a high degree of toe gathering toward the center.

휴리스틱 탐색 기법을 이용한 네스팅 전문가 시스템 (Nesting Expert System using Heuristic Search)

  • Two dimensional nesting is a common problem in industries such as the shipbuilding, automotive, clothing, shoe-making, and furniture industries, in which various parts are cut off from stock or packed in a flat space while minimizing waste or unoccupied space. Nesting is known as an NP-complete problem, which has a solution time proportional to the superpolynomial of the input size. It becomes practically impossible to find an optimal solution using algorithmic methods as the number of shapes to nest increases. Therefore, heuristic methods are commonly used to solve nesting problems. This paper presents an expert system that uses a heuristic search method based on an evaluation function for nesting problems, in which parts and stock are represented by pixels. The system is developed in CLIPS, an expert system shell, and is applied to four different kinds of example problems to verify its applicability in practical problems.

  • Mechanical properties of polypropylene filled with recycled rubber dusts obtained from the buffing process in sport shoe sole manufacture were investigated. The use of these dusts eliminates the need for the size reduction process which is usually employed in rubber recycling. Two different waxes, polypropylene wax and ethylene vinyl acetate wax, were used in the PP/rubber dust compound. Two different processes, extrusion and injection moulding, were used to study the influence of the blends on the properties. The waxes gave significant improvement in the shaping of the extrudate. It was found that the impact strength of the injection moulded samples were higher than the extruded samples and the virgin PP. The tensile properties (yield stress and modulus) were dependent on the amount of rubber dust addition. An increase in the rubber dust loading gave lower yield stress and modulus.

  • Most of shoes manufacturing processes are not yet automated, it puts restrictions on increasing of productivity. Among them, adhesive application processes particularly are holding the most workers and working hours. In addition, its working conditions are very poor due to the toxicity of adhesive agents. In case of automating adhesive application processes by using robots, the robot teaching by playback is difficult to produce high productivity because the kinds of shoes to be taught mount up to several thousands.   • The foot shape from the right and left feet was taken with 78 male and 213 female Korean subjects. The results are as follows. 1) Mean values and standard deviations of 25items concering the foot : Measurements performed on Korean adults(male and female) show that male left foot length is in average somewhat longer than the corresponding right foot length(25.35Cm against 25.32Cm) and on the contrary that the circumference of the left foot is slightly smaller than for the right foot. For the same tendency is verified in female feet. 2) Correlations between measurement items : Finding a correlation of more than 0.08 only between the foot length to suggest that the present system of ready-made "shoe" size system, based only on foot length, is not a quite appropriate system. 3) Distribution between foot width, foot girth, instep height and foot length : Foot length showed from 21.52Cm to 24.0Cm in the female subjects and from 24.0Cm to 26.5Cm in the male subjects for the standard type. 스미어존 형성과 투수성 변화에 미치는 멘드럴의 영향에 관한 연구 (Study of the Influence of Mandrels on the Smear Zone and the Variation of Permeability)

  • 본 논문에서는 국내 드레인재 타설현장조사와 모형 멘드럴 실내 타입시험을 통하여 배수재의 타입시 지반교란을 일으키는 영향요소에 대하여 분석하였다. 실내 시험에서는 재성형된 시료에 타입된 멘드럴에 의하여 발생한 스미어량을 멘드럴의 형태 등 지반조건을 달리하여 비교하였다. 사용된 모형멘드럴의 형태는 원형, 마름모형, 직사각형이었으며 직사각형의 경우는 장단변의 비율을 달리하여 실험하였다. 현장 조사로부터는 멘드럴의 형태와 크기뿐만 아니라 앵커슈의 형태와 크기도 지반교란의 큰 요소임을 알 수 있었다. 멘드럴 타입에 의하여 발생하는 지반교란은 원형보다 마름모와 직사각 형의 경우 적은 것으로 나타났고 직사각형 멘드럴의 경우 장단변의 비율이 클수록 지반교란효과가 더 줄어드는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 현대 사회의 서비스 방식은 대면 방식보다 비대면 방식을 선호하는 추세이다. 하지만 신발과 같이 상품을 추천하는 서비스는 대면 방식의 서비스가 불가피하다. 본 논문에서는 비대면 서비스를 목적으로 자동으로 발의 사이즈를 측정하고, 측정 결과를 기반으로 신발을 추천하는 시스템을 제안한다. 제안방법의 성능을 분석하기 위해 사이즈 측정 오차율과 추천성능을 분석하였다. 추천성능 실험에 사용한 방법은 총 10가지이고, 이의 방법 중 가장 좋은 성능을 보이는 추천 방법을 시스템에 적용하였다. 오차율에 대한 실험결과, 사이즈 관련 오차가 작음을 알 수 있었고, 추천성능에 대한 실험결과, 추천에 대한 유의한 결과를 도출할 수 있었다. 본 논문에서의 제안방법은 실험실 수준으로 향후 실제 환경으로 확대 적용할 필요가 있다.

다기능성 인솔 착용 시 하지의 근활성도 분석 (The Analysis of Muscle Activities on the Lower Limb during Wearing Functional Insole)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze muscle activities on functional insole with diet effect. Originally, ten healthy female subjects with an average age of 23.2 year(S.D=1.1), weight of 49.7 kg(S.D=4.9), height of 163.2 cm(S.D=3.5) and a shoe size of 237.5 cm(S.D=4.9) were participated in this experiment. Ten healthy females walked on a treadmill(speed=about 4.2 km/h) wearing two different insole types. Muscle activities data was collected using the EMG operating system. The surface EMG signal for tibialis anterior(TA), gastrocnemius(GA), vatus lateralis(VL) and biceps femoris(BF) were acquired at the RMS(10 Hz, 350 Hz) using Noraxon Telemyo DTS system(Noraxon inc, USA). This study processed the data using the Windows SPSS ver.17.0 to get an independent t-test, with the setting, p<.05. Analysis of muscle activity were measured and calculated during walking. The results are as follow: Functional insole wearing were increased muscle activities significantly from Tibialis anterior(TA) during total gait cycle. Normal distribution was demonstrated in total step of stances period. One foot standing position showed decreased muscle activity. Two foot standing position was demonstrated with gastrocnemius and biceps femoris. As a result of the analysis, Functional insole will inerease the diet effect in the use of four muscle groups.

한국 성인여성 중 무지외반증으로 인한 발 변형환자의 수술 전·후 발부위 계측치 및 요인분석 (An Analysis on the Measurement and Factors of the Foot for Korean Female especially Focusing on the Patients of the Hallux Valgus)

  • In order to study the foot deformity hallux valgus, the rate of which is currently increasing, 235 patients who were diagnosed with hallux valgus and treated in an orthopedic hospital in Seoul had their feet calibrated before and after surgery using 3d radio-scans. Data from 209 cases was analyzed and scored numerically. We scored 10 items for length, 4 for width, 3 for angle, and 2 for height, for a total of 20 items. Each individual's feet showed great variation in most of the items and significant differences after surgery, especially in regards to length and height, which increased after surgery. Angle, width, and length of the distal parts of the toes decreased after surgery. Based on the results of our analysis, we conclude that surgery brings about significant changes in structure and measurement of feet. This research confirmed that there is significant variation in foot form and individual differences based on lesion size and location and, thus, it is difficult for hallux valgus patients to find ready-made shoes that fit them properly. Foot changes before and after operation for hallux valgus were analyzed and the results quantified; our results should be considered during product design by shoe companies whose target is adult women.
