구매종속성을 고려한 근사적 연속검토 재고모형 (Approximate Continuous Review Inventory Models with the Consideration of Purchase Dependence)

  • This paper introduces the existence of purchase dependence that was identified during the analysis of inventory operations practice at a sales agency of dealing with spare parts for ship engines and generators. Purchase dependence is an important factor in designing an inventory replenishment policy. However, it has remained mostly unaddressed. Purchase dependence is different from demand dependence. Purchase dependence deals with the purchase behavior of customers, whereas demand dependence deals with the relationship between item-demands. In order to deal with purchase dependence in inventory operations practice, this paper proposes (Q, r) models with the consideration of purchase dependence. Through a computer simulation experiment, this paper compares performance of the proposed (Q, r) models to that of a (Q, r) model ignoring purchase dependence. The simulation experiment is conducted for two cases : a case of using a lost sale cost and a case of using a service level. For a case of using a lost sale cost, this paper calculates an order quantity, Q and a reorder point, r using the iterative procedure. However, for a case of using a service level, it is not an easy task to find Q and r. The complexity stems from the interactions among inventory replenishment policies for items. Thus, this paper considers the genetic algorithm (GA) as an optimization method. The simulation results demonstrates that the proposed (Q, r) models incur less inventory operations cost (satisfies better service levels) than a (Q, r) model ignoring purchase dependence. As a result, the simulation results supports that it is important to consider purchase dependence in the inventory operations practice.

광양항 컨테이너 터미널 선석 재배치에 따른 기대효과 분석 (Estimating Benefits of Gwangyang Port Container Terminals' Berth Relocation)

  • Container terminals at Gwangyang Port are operated by three container operators: A, B and C. Ultimately, there is consensus that a single operator should operate all terminals so that economies of scale can be achieved even in the operation of the container terminal. Integration between operators has a positive effect on both operators and shipping companies. From the operator's point of view, overlapping fixed costs between operators can be unified, reducing overall costs and utilizing spare facilities. On the other hand, from the viewpoint of the shipping company, it is possible to ensure stable use of the port facilities and always allow berthing, reduce days on demurrage and ship waiting, and provide one-stop service for work. However, existing cases of operators' integration or relocation of terminals remained to estimate the expected effects of alternatives, emphasizing only the financial point of view. The port terminal is a large system, and it is important to consider that it is an aggregate of major logistics facilities and equipment. Moreover, if the estimation can be made by quantifying the expected effect, the justification of the terminals' relocation can be further emphasized. Therefore, it is very important to estimate the expected effect from the viewpoint of systemic operation. Moreover, the need for operators' integration can be further emphasized if it can be estimated through quantification of expected effects. Currently, three alternatives are considered as alternatives to the terminals' relocation, and in this study, the optimal plan was derived for the 3 alternatives by the linear planning model of the minimum shuttle transportation cost in the terminal. The optimal plan is alternative 2, which shows the most advantageous integration effect in terms of expected effects. Alternative 2 integrates the B terminal into the C terminal, and the A terminal operates independently as it is.

해양 레저 활동을 위한 요소 분석 및 항로 추천 시스템의 개발 (A Development of Navigation Routes Recommendation System with Elements Analysis of Marine Leisure Activities)

  • 최근 소득 향상이나 여가시간 증가 등으로 인해 삶의 질이 향상되고 있으며, 이에 따라 해양 레저 활동에 대한 관심이 높아짐으로 이에 관한 잠재적인 수요가 증가하고 있다. 하지만 관련 자원 및 시설의 개발과 서비스 및 프로그램의 제공이 뒷받침되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 또한, 레저선박 운용자는 정보의 부족으로 인하여 새로운 항로 개척보다는 단순하고 익숙한 경로를 따라 반복 운항하려는 경향이 높다는 문제점을 보이고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하여 보다 다양한 해양 레저 활동을 즐길 수 있도록 도움을 주기 위한 목적의 해양 레저 항로 추천 시스템을 제안한다. 레저 항로 추천을 위하여 출발지부터 목적지까지의 항해를 위한 항로를 비롯하여 기상 조건 및 해상 조건을 포함한 환경 변수, 해양 레저 활동 가능 구역 혹은 금지구역, 관광지 등에 관한 데이터베이스를 구축하였다. 또한 해양 레저 활동을 자연, 문화, 시설 자원 등으로 구분하여 목적에 맞는 다양한 정보를 제공하기 위한 시나리오를 설정하고, 레저 선박 운용자에게 해양 레저 활동에 필요한 다양한 정보를 제공하는 항로 추천 시스템을 개발하였으며 그 유용성을 검증하였다.
