In convulsion state by PTZ in rat, anticonvulsive effect and some of ${\gamma}-aminobutyric$ acid(GABA)-related mechanisms of Buthus extract in brain was experimented. It was inhibited GABA-T activity, lipid peroxide generation and xanthine oxidase activity as scheduled administration in vitro and vivo. And the content of brain glutathione was increased as scheduled administration in rat. In convulsion state by PTZ of previously managed rat by Buthus extract, onset time and duration were non-specific changes but recovery time and severity was remarkably reduced. In conclusion speculated that Buthus extract inhibits convulsion by control of GABA content In brain.

In this paper, we present the diagnosis system for swallowing disorder. There are some types of diagnosis device for swallowing disorder, for example, the video fluoroscopy, the nuclear medicine inspection, the endoscopy, EMG and motion analysis. But these systems need heavy devices or have dangerous nuclear exposure, so are uncomfortable for handicapped person. Our system has advantages of simplicity, accuracy and quantitative analysis. In addition to the diagnosis aspect, this system can be used to biofeedback treatment.

We studied exposure techniques and exposure dose for simple abdomen A-P projection for 41 medical facilities that are located in Seoul area. 1. The range of tube voltage used was 60 to 84 kVp, the average tube voltage used was 74 kVp 2. Only 17% of added filter was used. 3. Tube current mostly used was 200 mA, some of them used 400 mA. 4. The grid ratio mostly was used 10 : 1, 54 % of the rare earth screen was used in most facilities. 5. The average skin entrance dose was 4.15 mSv and the dose range was 1.05 mSv to 11.0 mSv.

In apartment building with column structure, reinforcing bar of the column is constructed mainly using gas pressure welding job. Therefore, gas pressure welding job in very critical process is construction apartment building with column structure. The purpose of this study is to analyze productivity of gas pressure welding work in column structure apartment using Web-CYCLONE. In this study, a CYCLONE model was developed for the productivity analysis of gas pressure welding work. Through this model, the optimal combination of the resources was obtained. This study will be utilized in the future as a useful tool of productivity analysis and the determination of an optimal combination of resources for gas pressure welding in apartment with column structure.

The fluidic muscle cylinder consist of an air bellows tube, flanges and lock nuts. It's features are softness of material and motion, simplicity of structure, low production cost and high power efficiency. In this study, we carried out the finite element modelling and analysis about the main design variables such as contraction ration and force, diameter increment of fluidic muscle cylinder. On the basis of finite element analysis, the prototype of fluidic muscle cylinder was manufactured and tested. Finally, we compared the results between the test and the finite element analysis.

An air spring which is a part of the suspension system of automobiles is used to reduce and absorb the vibration and the noise. Main components of the air spring are a cord reinforced rubber bellows, a canister and a piston. The performance of the air spring are depended on configurations of rubber bellows, the angle and elastic modulus of cord. The finite element analysis are executed to predict and evaluate the load capacity and the stiffness. The design variables of air spring are determined to adjust the required specifications of the air spring. Several samples of the air spring are manufactured and experimented. It is shown that the results by finite element analysis are in close agreement with the test results.

The effects of metallothionein and cadmium ion on the hepatic aldehyde oxidase activity and brain lipid peroxidation were tested in vitro. The content of brain lipid peroxide at the condition of normal or $300{\mu}M$ Fe(II)-induced was remarkably reduced by the addition of metallothionein in the incubation mixture. The induced content of lipid peroxide by cadmium $(30{\mu}g/ml)$ ion was reduced by metallothionein $(100{\mu}g/ml)$. The activity of aldehyde oxidase was not affected by metallothionein, but cadmium ion $(8.38{\mu}g/ml)$ increased the activity of aldehyde oxidase about 80% compared to the control. The cadmium-induced activity of aldehyde oxidase was restored to the control level by metallothionein or penicillamine.

Predictions of vibration induced by subway operation has been studied through comparison between the measurement values and the estimated values which proposed by other scientists to determine the adequacy of each equation. It was found from this study that the Wilson's prediction equation gives the best overall approximation value although the peak frequency band lies somewhat higher than that obtained from measurement.
