주야2교대제에서 주간연속2교대제로의 전환 후 수면의 질 변화 : 일개 완성차 제조사의 사례 (The Change of Sleep Quality after Transition to Consecutive Day Shift from Day and Night Shift: A Motor Assembly Factory Case)

  • Objectives: The major objective of this study was to analyze insomnia after the change to consecutive day shift from day and night shift in a motor assembly factory. Materials: Data were collected at before and after shift system change through a survey conducted by a labor union. We analyzed transition of PSQI(Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index) among 222 workers by separating the day shift week and night shift week. The cut-off point of insomnia was 8.5 on the PSQI. Results: Mean PSQI in the day shift week significantly did not decrease, going from $6.36{\pm}3.23$ to $6.46{\pm}3.00$(p=0.612 by paired t-test), Mean PSQI for night shift week significantly decreased from $8.31{\pm}3.36$ to $6.19{\pm}3.18$(p<0.001 by paired t-test). However, mean PSQI in the day shift week increased from $6.33{\pm}3.83$ to $7.11{\pm}2.86$ in ${\geq}50$ years(p=0.085, by repeated measured ANOVA). Mean PSQI score in the night shift week improved more in the married group(from $8.38{\pm}3.27$ to $6.12{\pm}3.18$) than in the non-married group(from $7.82{\pm}3.27$ to $6.12{\pm}3.18$)(p=0.038, by repeated measured ANOVA). Conclusions: The change to consecutive day shift improved insomnia in night shift. However, insomnia in the day shift week was worsened among those more than 50 years old.

향상된 캠쉬프트를 사용한 실시간 얼굴추적 방법 (Real-time Face Tracking Method using Improved CamShift)

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간 얼굴 추적을 위하여 기존의 CamShift 알고리즘의 단점을 보완한 새로운 CamShift 알고리즘을 제안한다. 배경 내 추적 객체와 색상이 유사한 객체가 존재할 경우 기존 CamShift 알고리즘은 불안정한 추적을 보여준다. 이러한 문제점을 화소 단위로 거리정보를 획득할 수 있는 Kinect의 깊이 정보와 HSV 색공간 기반의 피부색 후보영역을 추출하는 Skin Detection 알고리즘을 이용하여 색상분포만 이용하는 기존의 CamShift의 단점을 보완한다. 또한 추적하던 객체가 사라지거나 가려짐이 발생할 경우에도 다시 추적할 수 있는 특징점 기반의 매칭 알고리즘을 통하여 차폐영역에 강인한 특성을 가지게 한다. 이러한 향상된 CamShift 알고리즘을 사람의 얼굴 추적에 적용함으로써 다양한 분야에 활용 가능한 강인한 얼굴추적 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다. 실험결과 제안하는 알고리즘은 기존의 추적 알고리즘인 TLD보다 월등히 빠른 처리속도와 더 우수한 추적성능을 보여주었고, CamShift 보다 조금 느리지만 기존의 CamShift가 가지고 있는 문제점들을 해결하였다.

  • To cope with quest to improve the fuel economy and vehicle performance, Continuously Variable Transmission with Changing the speed ratio between minimum and maximum ratio by infinite step, is more efficient than conventional multi-ratio transmission. In this paper, to investigate a specific CVT shift ratio diagram and CVT shift characteristics, CVT vehicle was tested on the proving ground and chassis dynamometer. The test results are as follows; CVT can obtain the excellent vehicle performance and fuel economy changing the shift ratio by infinite step, without rapid change of engine revolution and driving force. And CVT can set up a special shift range that obtains not only the engine brake effect but also the maximum speed driving.

하악골 side shift의 timing에 관한 연구 (A STUDY ON THE TIMING OF THE MANDIBULAR SIDE SHIFT)

  • The author conducted an experiment of recording side shift of the lateral mandibular movement and analyzing the timing of the side shift on the twenty-two non-functioning side condyles. As a result, clinically useful informations were obtained. The findings were as follows: 1. On all the non-functioning side condyle path, during the first four millimeters of forward movement, the change in the rate of the mandibular side shift was observed. 2. Band E types of the mandibular side shift ,which have shown a distinct rate of immediate side shift were fifteen condyles, and C type of the mandibular side shift which has shown the greatest rate of the side shift occurs early in the first four millimeters of forward movement was seven condyles. 3. A and D types which have shown generally progressive and distributed nature were not observed.

수동휠체어의 변속 기능이 추진 동작에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Manual Wheelchairs' Transmission on the Propulsion Motion)

  • This work intends to investigate the effects of shift characteristics on the propulsion performance of a manual wheelchair with an automatic transmission. A planetary gear train is employed to generate a two-stage shift automatically, based on the distance traveled from rest. Motion analysis has been performed for measuring kinematic properties of the arm and then the inverse dynamics has been applied for estimating joint forces/torques. Then, a parametric study has been performed to find a set of the shift ratios and the shift intervals for optimizing propulsion performance. Results show that the propulsion performance is closely related to the shift condition. It is found that a short shift interval is desirable for a short distance propulsion. However, an optimum shift interval for a long distance propulsion is inversely proportional to the shift ratio approximately. Consequently, the automatic transmission can greatly lower the joint loadings by the speed reduction, which eventually contribute to prevent joint injuries of wheelchair users.

  • In this study, a shift control algorithm far improving the shift quality of a parallel hybrid drivetrain with an automated manual transmission (AM) is proposed. The general AMT requires the sophisticated control of clutch in the clutch engagement to improve its shift characteristics, and that is generally known to be difficult. But in this hybrid drivetrain, we can control the speeds of clutch plates by engine and motor control, and it provides the easier clutch control in shift process than general AMT. Additionally, it permits the much-reduced shift shock. The motor control during the shift period is also to achieve reduced velocity drop of the vehicle in comparison with that of a general AMT. Furthermore various dynamometer-based experiments are carried out to prove the validity of the proposed shift control algorithm.

스케일링 함수와 웨이브릿을 이용한 잡음에 강인한 새로운 웨이브릿 편이 변조 시스템 (A new Robust Wavelet Shift Keying System Using Scaling and Wavelet Functions)

  • 기존의 대표적인 디지털 통신방식으로 주파수 편이 변조(FSK: frequency shift keying), 위상 편이 변조(PSK: phase shift keying), 진폭 편이 변조(ASK: amplitude shift keying) 방식들이 있다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 통신에서 스케일링 함수(scaling function)와 웨이브릿(wavelet)을 이용한 새로운 웨이브릿 편이 변조(wavelet shift keying) 시스템을 제안한다. 웨이브릿 변환은 저주파 계수와 고주파 계수로 구성된다. 입력이 1인 신호에 대하여 임펄스 응답을 구하면, 스케일링 함수와 웨이브릿 함수로 나누어진다. 스케일링 함수를 1로, 웨이브릿 함수를 0으로 할당하여 2진 데이터를 변조한다. 모의실험 결과 제안한 알고리즘이 잡음에 강인함을 확인하였다.

자동변속기장착 차량의 Shift-By-Wire 시스템 개발 (Development of Shift-By-Wire System for an Automatic Transmission Equipped Vehicle)

  • This article deals with the design and prototyping of Shift-By-Wire system for an automatic transmission equipped vehicle. In order to manipulate the shifting action electronically, Shift-By-Wire system consists of an electronic shift lever, an electric shift actuator and position sensors. The shift lever is designed to transform the driver's shifting command into an electric signal; it includes the position sensor using non-contact type hall sensor and an additional shifting switch acting as Tip-tronic. For the design of an electric shifting actuator, we investigated the stroke angles and shifting efforts of the manual control lever in each shifting section. And the position sensor of the shifting actuator is designed by using a potentiometer with an optical encoder. Finally the prototype of Shift-By-Wire system was built in a conventional 2.4L class SUV vehicle, and we performed road tests in order to verify its performance.

한 대학병원에 근무하는 교대근무자와 일반근무자의 월경 양상에 관한 연구 (A Comparative Study on the Characteristics of Menstruation in the Shift workers and the Day Workers)

  • Purpose : To investigate and compare the characteristics of menstruation in the shift workers and the day workers, and present guidelines for health promotion of the shift-working women. Methods : Questionnaires including general health condition and QSCC II were distributed to shift-working women and day-working women in one university hospital in Gyeonggi-do and 36 questionnaires of shift-working women and 33 of day-working women were analyzed. Results : Day workers were about 5 years older than shift workers on average. There was more irregularity of menstrual cycle and period in day-working group but it is thought to incorrect because of the age problem. There were more women who have dysmenorrhea in day-working group, but the proportion of dysmenorrhea which continues more than 72 hours -which is very suggestive of secondary dysmenorrhea- was higher in shift-working group. Average VAS of dysmenorrhea was nearly the same in two groups. The life of shift-working group was lesser satisfactory than that of day-working group. There were more sleep disturbances in the shift-working group. Sasang constitution was analyzed in both group using QSCC II, and Taeumin were more in shift-working group. Conclusion : As the number of shift-working women increases, needs for oriental medical treatments would increase because it is more natural and lesser invasive managements which women are very interested in. So it is thought to be necessary to understand health problems of shift-working women, and prepare guidelines for managements and treatments to promote the health of shift-working women.

교대근무 형태에 따른 대학병원 간호사의 수면 질, 피로, 우울 및 건강증진 행위 간의 관계 (Relationships between Sleep Quality, Fatigue and Depression on Health Promoting Behavior by Shift-Work Patterns in University Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: The objective of this study was to investigate the relationships between sleep quality, fatigue, depression and health promoting behavior by shift-work patterns in university hospital nurses. Methods: A cross-sectional, descriptive survey was conducted using a convenient sample. The self-administered questionnaires were given to 165 nurses (shift workers 91, non-shift workers 74) employed in two university hospital located in Seoul and Gyeunggi-do. Data were collected from February to March, 2010. Results: The shift workers showed significantly lower sleep quality and health promoting behavior, and higher fatigue than non-shift workers. There were significant correlations between fatigue, depression and health promoting behavior in shift workers. There were significant correlations between sleep quality, fatigue, depression and health promoting behavior in non-shift workers. In multiple linear regression analysis, after controlling for total work experiences, predictor of health promoting behavior in shift workers was only fatigue (${\beta}$=-.29, p<.001). Predictors of health promotion behavior in non-shift workers were depression (${\beta}$=-.37, p=.002) and fatigue (${\beta}$=-.27, p=.023). Conclusion: This study failed to provide a clear explanation why sleep quality does not have a comparable effect on health promotion behaviors of shift-workers as well as non-shift workers. However, future research is needed to determine the various risk factors influencing on health promotion behaviors by which shift-work pattern exacerbates fatigue.
