The Stability of Turbulent nonpremixed interacting Flames (다수노즐에 의한 확산화염의 안정성 확대에 관한 연구)

  • Characteristic of turbulent nonpremixed interacting flames are investigated experimentally 8 or 9 nozzles are arranged in the shape of matrix or circle. When there is no center nozzle, flame is more stable than with center nozzle case. It is shown that these blowout limit enlargements are related with the recirculation of burnt gases. The interacting flame base was not located at the stoichiometric point. NO concentrations of interacting flame are smaller than that of single flame using same area nozzle.

  • In speech recognition technology, the utterance of every talker have special resonant frequency according to shape of talker's lip and to the motion of tongue. And utterances are different according to each talker. Accordingly, we need the superior moth-od of speech feature parameter extraction which reflect talker's characteristic well. This paper suggests the modified-MfCC combined existing MFCC with gammatone filter. We experimented with speech data from telephone and then we obtained results of enhanced speech recognition rate which is higher than that of the other methods.

  • We have fabricated a down tapered polymer tip on optical fiber end-face by a guided UV light. One side of fiber was aligned with a mercury-xenon lamp and another was put into UV curable polymer. A shape of tip was controlled by adjusting an irradiance of lamp and time of exposure. A bending effect also affects the result. Optical characteristic was achieved preliminarily with solution of minute particles.

  • This paper describes the dynamic fracture behavior of brittle materials under impact loading by using INSAMCR program with instrumented charpy test machine. To calculate the Dynamic Stress Intensity Factor The finite element analysis methods program, INSAMCR, was used. Dynamic fracture characteristic was researched to verify a relationship between Dynamic Stress Intensity Factor and crack tip propagation velocity in WC-6%Co. The relationship between Dynamic Stress Intensity Factor and crack tip velocity revealed typical .GAMMA. shape. INSAMCR was run to verify experimental results in WC-6%Co and shows a good coincidence.

  • Two new species of the superfamily Membraniporoidea, Conopeum hexagonum and Gregarinidra corbulra, are reported from Korea. These two genera are new to the Korean fauna. The former species is characteristic in the shape of zooids and the latter one in the number of spines.

  • Compared with type specimen Acanthobelba tortuosa Enami and Aoki, 1993, a new species, A. heterosetosa sp. nov., of oribatid mites collected from Mt. Jiri has the following characteristic figures. Sensillus is long, slightly thickened at distal part, and covered with barbs sparsely. A pair of prodorsal tubercles Da are present. Natogastral frontal tubercles sa is elongated rather than hooked. Dorsal setae are not the same in shape and length: setae c1 and c2 are thick, blunt at tip, covered with small barbs and curved several times, but others are smooth.

  • This paper applies the moment method to analyze the transverse electromagnetic(TEM) cell with an inner conductor (septum) of arbitrary rectangular shape and location by employing quast static approximation. The EM field and the characteristic impedance so obtained are shown to be in good agreement with the available data from the previously published papers about the typical TEM cell structure with center septum of zero thickness.

  • The shear flow properties have been reported in many cases by manufactures and fabricators. Only this characteristic is sometimes insufficient for the processings to provide a complete picture of the relationship between the processability and the flow behavior when underwent free-surface processes in which the shape and thickness of the extrudate are determined by the rheological properties of the melt, the die dimensions etc. In this paper the methodology of control of elongational flow is discussed in terms of relaxation time control of the polymer melts.
