  • An indoor package air-conditioner (PAC) has complex noise sources such as motor noise and fluid noise caused by the fan motor, heat transfer and shroud. Sound intensity techniques and ODS(Operational deflection shape) techniques are applied to identify the noise characteristics of an indoor air-conditioner's cabinet. The sound intensity is used to visualize the noise source locations. and the ODS to visualize the vibration pattern and to obtain the dynamic characteristics of the noise source. Acoustic intensity and operational deflection distribution are obtained in space domains as well as frequency domains. Using the visual information of source locations and its dynamic characteristics, the damping patch is applied to reduce structure borne noise in the cabinet. As a result, the noise emitted by the cabinet is reduced by 5dB.

A Comparative Study on the Sleeve Patterns of Women's Costume of the 16th Century - Focus on the Joseon Dynasty and European Monarchy -

  • Costume elements are closely related with human living environment and also play an important role in the costume patterns. The East and the West have influenced and adopted each other's culture through mutual trade, which are well reflected in costume patterns and textile patterns. These days world wide fashion shows the designs applying costume details of the East and the West, which is much affected by the orientalism. The purpose of this study is to compare the sleeve patterns which take an important part in women's costume design of the Joseon Dynasty and the European Monarchy in the 16th century. Korean women's costume showed sleeves in rectangular shape with same width and long length, together with cuffs. Later they changed to diagonal shape of getting narrower toward the wrist. Western women's costume showed sleeves with puff and slash patterns. Then they were classified into French, British and Spanish styles which were getting narrower toward the wrist. Later they adopted the shape of leg of mutton which was puffed in middle and narrower toward the wrist. I n Korea and Europe, they showed respective changes in sleeve patterns, but also similarity of getting narrower toward the wrist. The East and the West are now exchanging their culture in every aspect such as politics, economics and social matters. Costume fashion is not an exception. The characteristic designs of traditional costumes are shown on global fashion, which is influenced by the orientalism.

유압 퀵 커플러 Ring부의 형상변경을 통한 최적설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimal Design by Changing the Ring Shape of Hydraulic Quick Coupler)

  • Hydraulic coupling systems play an important role in easily connecting or disconnecting pipes or hoses that transmit high-pressure fluids without hydraulic oil leakage in hydraulic power transmission equipment. A flat-face hydraulic quick coupler is a recently developed product that can reduce environmental pollution by minimizing hydraulic oil leakage during connection and disconnection. In this study, the influence of the shape of the inner ring of a 3/8" flat-face hydraulic quick coupler on its internal flow characteristics was analyzed and evaluated by numerical analysis based on computational fluid dynamics. The flow velocity distribution, temperature distribution, and optimal shape design of the inner ring were obtained by comparing the results of the flow characteristics, such as the pressure drop.

다구찌 기법을 이용한 수소 연료전지용 가스켓 설계 (Design of Gaskets for Hydrogen Fuel Cells Using Taguchi Method)

  • The Mooney-Rivlin second order optimal strain energy function derived through uniaxial tensile test and analysis was applied to a gasket to confirm the internal stress and surface pressure generated during compression. The Taguchi method, a statistical technique, was used to design the optimum shape of the gasket, and through characteristic evaluation, the optimum shape of the gasket was obtained when the reference plane (T: 0.15 mm), contact surface (W: 1.00 mm), and curvature (R: 0.30 mm) were used. It was determined that the optimum shape yields a von Mises stress of 4.83 MPa, and the contact pressure stress is 20.14 MPa, which satisfies breakage and sealing requirements. In the future, we plan to manufacture a jig that can measure surface pressure to conduct comparative verification studies between the test results and analysis results.

성인 비만 여성의 상반신 체형 분류 및 유형별 특성 분석 (Upper Body Shape Classification and the Characteristics of Obese Women)

  • The study is classifies the figures of obese women aged 20-50 with an over 25 BMI from the data of the fifth Size Korea in 2005. As the result of conducting the factor analysis for segmenting the shape, Factor 1, Factor 2, Factor 3, and Factor 4 are respectively derived as the factor on a volume, the factor on the size of the vertical direction, the factor on the shoulder region, and the factor on the body length balance. As the result of conducting the cluster analysis using 4 factors (scores extracted from the analysis of factor analysis) the body type of obese women was classified into four types. The name of shape was specified by combining 'P' (an abbreviation of petite) that indicated the height (smaller than 155cm) among the height names of KS standard, 'R' (abbreviation of regular) that indicated the height (155cm-165cm) and the body characteristics. Type 1 had the longest length, and normal circumference, thickness, and width but with the developed shoulder. Type 1 was classified as a robust, 'Plus-RH'. Type 2 had the middle height, the shortest length of the upper part, a relatively-long length of the lower part of body. Type 2 shows the characteristics of a small body that was classified as 'Plus-PI'. The most obese body was Type 3 that had the normal length and shoulder size but showed the longest length of the upper part of the body; it was classified as 'Plus-PO'. Type 4 as the small shape had a potbelly and showed the characteristics of the shortest body classified as 'Plus-Pb'.

명당장부도(明堂臟腑圖)에서 기원한 비장도(脾臟圖) 30종의 비교 (Comparison of 30 Diagrams of Spleen originated from Ming Tang Zang Fu Tu(明堂臟腑圖))

  • Objectives : To clarify the construction, changes, and contents of the diagrams of spleen through comparison of 30 different diagrams originated from Mingtangzangfutu. Methods : The diagrams were analyzed in whole shape, ratio between width and height, shape of the lower part, and concavo-convex of the middle part, then matched to the characteristics of the section diagram. The contents of the diagram of the spleen were newly interpreted with comparison to the classical texts. Results : The whole shape is described to be a long sword, long stick, bottle gourd, western pear, sole of feet. The height to width ratio was mostly above 4.0:1, but those listed in the 『Bianquemaishunaning』 and 『Hehensancaituhui』 were 1.9:1~1.0:1, most similar to the numbers described in the 『Nanjing』. The shape of the lower part was narrow and sharp, narrow and flat or wide and flat. To analyze through affiliation characteristic, properties of other affiliations could be found. In comparison to classical texts, the diagrams could be found to be affected by 『Nanjing』 and Wangbing's annotations. The diagrams of the spleen should be composed of the spleen, the cord of spleen, and Sangao(散膏); but those which distinguish the spleen and the cord of spleen are twelve. The description of its shape as being similar to sword or sickle seems to come from Lichan's misunderstanding of the diagram in 『Zhenjiujuying』. Those that mention Sangao are merely two and their opinion on the position are different from each other; both did not identify it with the pancreas. Conclusions : In the process of the diagrams differentiating into 30 they were affected by the classical texts. The various changes seem to come from difference in understanding of the content composition of the diagram of the spleen.

디자인 조형언어에 대한 소비자의 감성적 인지특성 (Characteristic on the emotional recognition of consumer about the formative language)

  • 디자인 조형화 과정에 있어서 최근에는 소비자들의 참여가 점차 늘어나고 있는 추세이며, 소비자들은 제품의 형태에 대한 직접적인 평가나 제안을 하기도 하며, 기업에서도 이러한 소비자들의 참여를 유도하기 위한 다양한 방안을 제시하고 있다. 하지만 근본적으로 제품의 형태를 다루는 데에 있어서 소비자와 디자이너는 어느 정도의 시각 차이를 가지고 있으며, 이는 곧 제품 조형화 과정에 있어서 소비자와 디자이너의 효과적인 커뮤니케이션에 방해요소로 작용하고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 소비자와 디자이너의 제품 형태에 대한 감성반응에 대한 특징을 통해 소비자의 감성반응을 이끌어 낼 수 있는 효과적인 가이드라인을 알아보는 방법을 연구하였다. 이러한 소비자와 디자이너의 제품 형태에 대한 감성반응을 알아보기 위한 실험을 진행하였는데, 먼저 제품 형태 기반의 감성 이미지 어휘에 대한 정립을 진행하였다. 정립된 이미지 어휘를 기반으로 각각 소비자와 디자이너에게 동일한 실험을 진행하였다. 실험 결과, 소비자와 디자이너의 형태에 대한 감성 반응은 유의한 성향을 띄게 되는데 이 때 디자이너가 소비자에 비해 보다 극적인 반응을 나타내는 특징이 나타났다.

에틸렌-프로필렌-디엔 삼원 공중합 (EPDM) 발포체의 충격음 저감 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Impact Sound Insulation Properties of EPDM Micro Cellular Pad)

  • EPDM 발포체의 정적/동적 특성을 측정하여 재료 특성과 진동 특성과의 연관성을 알아보고 이로부터 충격음 저감재로서의 적용 가능성을 검토하였다. 정적/동적 특성은 material test system (MTS)를 사용하여 시편의 형상, 두께, 초기하중, 발포도 등에 따라 정적 탄성계수, 동적 탄성계수, 전달율의 변화를 조사하였다. 정적 탄성계수와 동적 탄성계수의 경우, 형상이 단순하고 두께가 얇을수록 큰 값을 나타냈고, 전달율과 동적 탄성계수는 상호 비례 관계에 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 특징적으로 동적 탄성계수가 증가하면, 전달율의 특성 피크치는 같은 주파수 영역에서의 증가 혹은 고주파수 영역으로의 전이의 형태로 일어나게 되는 것을 알 수 있었다. 실험실적 모사 시험장치를 통해 충격에 따른 주파수별 진동 속도측정과 유한 요소 해석 모델을 사용하여 mode shape에 의한 충격 해석 결과를 알아보았는데, EPDM 발포체를 사용함으로써 2.5-3.5배의 진동 속도 저감이 이루어짐을 알 수 있었고, mode shape의 경우 몰타르와 콘크리트만으로 구성된 구조물에 비해 진동 충격에 대한 변위가 급감함으로써 충격음 저감재로서의 EPDM 발포체의 적용 가능성은 상당히 높은 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Laser welding has superior characteristic such as low distortion, high welding speed, easy automation and real time control. But it is easy to occur weld defects such as porosity, crater, humping bead in the area of welding start and end. These weld defects can be suppressed by applying the wave shape control. In this study CW fiber laser was used for welding of $0.5mm^t$ pure titanium. Penetration properties were evaluated with the time of slope up and down. After then the bead shape was observed, and the maximum depth and the area of crater were measured. The bead shape of welding start area changed to be sharp with increase of slope up time and non-weld area of welding start increased. The crater and humping bead were suppressed with slope down time. The cooling rate of crater area was understood through measure of the hardness. Also, The distribution tendency of alloying elements was observed by EPMA and EDS. When wave shape control didn't applied to weld, the hardness of end weld increased due to rapid cooling rate and the hardness of rear part in the crater was higher than that of fore part. On the other hand, when the wave shape control was used for end weld, the increase of hardness in the end weld couldn't be found due to gradual cooling rate.

PFC를 이용한 입자 형상에 따른 입자 파쇄 및 전단거동 전개 (Evolution of Particle Crushing and Shear Behavior with Respect to Particle Shape Using PFC)

  • 조립재료의 입자 형상이 입자 파쇄 전개 및 전단 거동 특성에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위하여, 개별요소법(DEM, discrete element method)을 이용하여 직접전단시험을 수치해석적으로 모델링하였다. PFC(Particle Flow Code)내의 clump 모델 및 cluster 모델을 이용하여 6가지 형상의 입자를 생성하여 이를 원형입자의 직접 전단거동과 비교 분석함으로써 입자형상의 영향을 연구하였다. 연구결과, PFC에 의해 모델링된 직접 전단모델의 수치해석 결과는 실내 실험결과와 잘 일치하였으며, 따라서 본 연구 결과의 타당성을 입증하였다. 입자 형상 관점에서 모나고 거친 입자의 내부마찰각이 상대적으로 둥글고 매끄러운 입자에 비해 큰 값을 나타냈으며, 입자 파쇄 또한 많이 발생하는 것을 확인하였다. 이때 입자파쇄는 전단면근처에 집중되며 전단대를 형성하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제시한 수치해석 모델은 향후입자 파쇄를 포함한 조립재료의 전단강도 특성 연구에 다양하게 적용될 수 있다고 판단된다.
